Good booze (whether its beer or vodka) can cure all ills. I only had one vodka rocks last night after my hour on the dreadmill. I am doing pretty good so far.

I poured out a cocktail that i made for myself last night. :noway: I just wasn't in the mood. Did have some wine, about a glass as I have every night this week. I think the scale is moving in the right direction..but I'm going to wait to log it.

    Friday - Champagne!!!

Weighed this morning even though tomorrow is my actual weigh in day, if my weight is the same as it was today I will be down 3.6 pounds in these first 3 weeks of this round of P90X. Which if it keeps up this way, will get me back to my normal size in plenty of time for my dress alterations. Even if I lose more though, the dress laces so it can really pull it in tight. I am just getting more and more excited about this wedding stuff now. Even though I was never the girl who knew exactly what I wanted and in fact never thought about getting married or having a wedding, I'm getting into it now. At the moment I am most excited about my dress and the song that I want to walk down the aisle to

Fitness note, I have an hour bike ride on deck for today, and I've also gotten back to my gallon of water a day and it feels great

Kat-so funny I was the same way....I was never the little girl who dreamed of her wedding day, so when it came time to do everything I was like AHHHHHHH!!!! But as it goes on you'll get more and more excited, and detailed focused!! Have a great time!!!
    Great job on the zeros!

After a beer filled, lushy birthday week and therefore a huge gain in bloatness and water retention, I managed to get 3.5 lbs off in 4 days. No salt, just tequila and dt 7up for libation and watch the carbs. I feel like cr@p so plan on NOT doing that again.

Has anyone in this topic ever have hypnosis done? For anything?? Did it work? I'm thinking of doing it for stress, and throw in "lose more weight" too. Thanks!

Tonight, not many tequila drinks as the bottle is less than a quarter full.

Looks like most of the lushes on here are keeping things under control and even the ones who posted otherwise did not do too bad either.

Robin - your grand daughter looks perfect!

SoCal - Are you feeling OK throwing away a cocktail...there are very thirsty children in China

Kat - I am excited for you...I love reading how your wedding plans are coming along.

Can't say I have ever been hypnotized although I was told by my psychology professor I would not be a candidate (I am rather skeptic). Let us know how that goes.

    Wednesday - 0
    Thursday - 0
Can't remember if it was Monday or Tuesday when I had those margaritas...my life is a blur!

My husband and I are doing hypnosis right now. He did it for smoking and he quit after the first session. I am doing if for some compulsive disorders like nail biting and picking and it is a much slower process but I am seeing some improvement. I like it for destressing and for getting to sleep. It really is helping me sleep. Our programs were expensive but I think it is worth the investment.

Sorry to sabatoage the thread.....PM if you are interested....I'm only taking about 20 to 24 people and I have the regulars

I am requiting for the new contest starting Feb 8th....It's 4th Round, Fit-n-Trim to Win Elimination Contest...it's designed for people who really need to lose the weight.

    The idea is this:

    1) Losing team will eliminate one person with the lowest percentage of body weight.

    2) The person with the highest percentage of weight loss gets an advantage for the next week.
There will be some very different twists as the weeks go on. The advantages will include immunity; weight advantage and disadvantage, trading players. This might not be for you if your feelings get hurt easily; or, you hate losing; or, you have low self-esteem. This is supposed to be fun and good natured.

    Criteria to enter:
    1) You have a digital scale
    2) You have a digital camera
    3) You can weigh in on Wednesdays and post picture by midnight CST

    Weigh-ins:
    1. We will weigh in every Wednesday. If you fail to weigh in on Wednesday, you will be eliminated and out of the contest. If that happens, no one will be eliminated for that week.

    2. You can post up 2 weights for the weigh in days. I will pick the lower of the two weights.

    3. If you are unable to make a weigh-in and know that you will be on vacation, please notify me at the start of the contest. I will allow a different weigh in date since I will know upfront and will allow a change. There will be no other exceptions; but, I am not unreasonable.

    4. If you would not like to be in the game anymore, do not post it on the thread. Send me an email, so that other contestants do not know and slack off. We’ll let them think someone will still be eliminated.

    Second Chance if your eliminated:
Everyone deserves a second chance, right? So, for all the people eliminated, they will be put in the second chance category. We will have 2 opportunities for the second chance people to come back. I’m thinking Week 7 and Week 12. If you are the top loser of the second chance category, you will be allowed back into the contest.

    How to weigh-in:
    1. I will post a code word on the thread the night prior before weigh-in
    2. You will take a picture of the scale: with your current weight, date and code word attached
    3. You will post the photo on the link I will provide for each week

Besides, the ultimate reward of a healthier, more slender body, I will mail a prize for the ultimate winner. I have had 3 winners right now that have earned rewards.

First... Papa Lush? I LOVE IT!

I was doing great this week. Didn't drink at all M-W and worked out, finally saw some scale movement. Then yesterday on my way to a meeting I got into a car accident. Thankfully, I am ok physically. My car - not so much, which has to be expected since a Nissan is no match for a tanker truck. If that isn't a good enough reason to drive a man to drink, I don't know what is.

Keep the faith lushes! Have a great weekend!

    Tuesday-17oz of wine
    Wednesday-12oz of wine
Thursday-3 1oz shots of grape vodka and 12oz of wine
Friday-Hmm something, why stop my streak

Drink away Dave. At least the Nissan did what it was supposed to.... it crumpled but protected you. That is a good thing.

I am Mama Lush so it is only fitting that since you started this thread that you are the Papa Lush.

Had more than one vodka rocks last night but still not to bad.

I really have to stop thinking about it or it will ruin my day (calorie-wise)! I mean, I am making cubans for dinner, which are super tasty (I hope...winging the recipe)...maybe I'll stop for some beers on the way home and semi-behave!!!

Thanks for the kind words ladies. Regardless of what happened yesterday, the earlier part of this week proved to me once again that weight loss is definitely possible if I wouldn't be such a raging alcoholic!

P.S. I may change my username to Papa Lush. Is that like Papa Smurf? Should everyone on here have a name ending in Lush? I mean, If I wasn't Papa Lush, would I be Surly Lush?

Glad you're ok Dave...so sorry about your car.

And I'm fine with SoCalLush. Or SydneytheLush. It all fits :)

Passed out last night from too much sun and swimming yesterday..so didn't drink much. That's a change! Usually passing out from too much vodka! :drinker:
I logged wine, and didn't even drink it!
Tonight, I more than will make up for my lack of drinking, I'm sure.

    Happy weekend everyone
