still in moderation mode. even after losing my husband for a while. He was supposed to call when he landed at the airport so we could pick him up. 2 hours after his flight still no call. I called the airline and he had been on the plane so I knew he was here and I figured he either lost of forgot his phone. He doesn't know anyone's number because it is all in his phone. He doesn't know the address. He was at a loss as to what to do. I paged him at the airport for ever but he was out side at passenger pick up hoping we would show up. We went and looked for him just at the moment he went inside to see if I had called the airline. We searched the baggage area and the closest airport bar and then started heading back for the car. I finally saw him at passenger pick up. I cannot tell you how worried I was and then how incredibly relieved to have found him. Needless to say I had a small shot of vodka when we got back to my daughters house.

OMG, how scary! I'm glad you found him.

I went to the liquor store yesterday, I usually just drink beer, but beer is what got me fat so I need to change my ways! I still will probably drink a few beers at night, but I need to cut way back. So what I got at the liquor store was Absolut Ruby Red -- I put a half an ounce in a tall glass with ice ande pink grapefruit calorie free selzer water. Delicious and only 35 calories a glass!

Glad your hubby is okay rj!

Some champagne and wine last night. I even wrapped up a glass and put it away for this Friday or Saturday. Fiancé saw the glass and laughed, I said hopefully it stays okay until next weekend and he goes but tomorrow is a holiday, I said so, and he goes, so you can drink. Ugh, so tempting, so SO tempting, BUT I'm trying to stay strong, no booze Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at the very least, maybe none Friday but I don't see a problem with drinking 2 days out of the week. We'll see how it goes! I got my tropical Shakeology and tried it today and it's scrumptious, thankfully, think I'll do a 3 day cleanse with it this week and hopefully have a good weigh in this Friday.

Those cell phones have become very important to us haven't they!

I had another wine tragedy over the weekend. Last night I was invited over to some friends house. Friends who own a fine dining restaurant. Fabrizio brought out a 2000 Bordeaux that he had been saving. It had been a gift before they moved here from Italy. Long story short, the cork was bad, the wine may have got cooked in transit when they moved. So sad!

So we opened a Cab Franc from Friuli, and a Califronia Chard to mourn our loss and rescue the evening. The seafood soup was awesome too.

that is tragic solpwr. I hate it when you build the anticipation for a great wine and then have it squashed.

Still in moderation land. one glass of wine with lunch out yesterday and one vodka rocks while watching movies last night.

You are doing splendid Mama Lush =] how is that little one? One of my fiancés and my good friends just had a baby and we have gotten to see her twice now and she is the sweetest little thing, I just love her to pieces  I can't wait to see her again. Funny thing is, I used to not like kids or babies at all, I wanted absolutely nothing to do with them and then it was like a switch flipped. Now I want 4 kids. After seeing all the family Kyle's Gram had around her when his Gramp passed, I've wanted a big family, not as big as hers, his mom is one of 6 or 7. 4 seems like a good number for us, I wouldn't ever have just 1, being an only child myself, it was really lonely. 2 is good too I suppose but 3 gets weird again with someone being left out or the middle child having the middle child syndrome. Anywho, now I want kids and can't wait haha but first .... lets make it to our wedding!

Was so tempted to have that wine last night but didn't!

    Sunday - 0

Also, thanks to the many flavors of Italian sparkling water at Whole Foods, I've completely given up diet soda. I didn't have it everyday or even every week but sometimes there would be a weird week where I would have one a few or more days a week when we got take out. After having the sparkling water for a while I tried diet soda when we were out somewhere and it was terrible. Haven't had it since! Fiancé and I are proud, for whatever reason I loved the stuff and now I just love my fizzy water

Going to start my Shakeology cleanse tomorrow and am excited for the results  As for right now the goal for booze is to only have it on Fridays and Saturdays unless something special arrises. After I get to my goal weight then I may keep it to one or 2 glasses of red Sunday - Thursday and have whatever on Fridays and Saturdays. I'd like to cut out the binge drinking and I think keeping it low will lower my tolerance and then I'll go back to when I was good with 1-3 glasses of wine and stopping there. I'm kind of there already at times but then others it's like "well lets just have some more, why not?!"

So we'll see what happens with everything.

Kat, how is the tropical shakeology? Does it taste pretty good?? I've heard about the shakeology cleanse, sounds like something I may want to try. I've been getting more into drinking protein shakes, so I should probably buy some more!

I love it! I really tasted banana today, I used milk today instead of water and shook it instead of blending it with ice. I prefer shaken and I don't like it blended with ice. Might have to put some cocoa in it after the cleanse and have a chocolate strawberry shake =] I'm excited about the cleanse.

Hey lovely lushes, just checking to see you're all doing fine. Nothing to report here, still no alcohol for feb and I've only got just over a week to go  Might have to forgo my lovely trainers as a reward though as I've had a couple of unexpected bills come in. Well they were only unexpected as I'm pretty disorganised when it comes to managing my finances!

Yesterday was a zero. Not even a glass of wine. Olivia has grown even in the week I have been here. she is just beautiful and is now really starting to look and act like a baby. She is starting to see more and react more to things around here. I am sad that I have to leave tomorrow.

Hello everyone! Back to my no drinking Monday-Thursday. Thursday may be a problem bc some friends wanted to have a Mardi Gras get together with gumbo and drinks. If I do end up drinking Thursday, then I will not drink Friday....I think that is a good compromise. And we really don't have anything going on next weekend so I will try to be good

    Monday-0

Wow, look at all the reformed lushes this week. I am impressed.

I am so disappointed in my lushness the past four days. I have no idea how much was consumed. But, while it was happening, it felt good. So, I move back on to sobriety.

Robin, I can only imagine how sad it is to leave after a lovely week with baby girl.
