It is exercise alone that supports the spirits,
and keeps the mind in vigor.
-Cicero

Let's get to it!!!

15 miles starting tomorrow and ending next Saturday... Yep that easy and you know you can do it! Just log your daily miles, the total miles for the week and encourage your fellow challengers to make their goals, yep it's that easy.

“Run when you can. Walk when you must. Crawl if you have to. Just never give up.” —Dean Karnazes, the Ultramarathon Man

For the folks returning you know that the 15 miles is not the main goal. The main goal is just to get up and get moving, if you don't meet it that's fine and you surpass it, well that just freaking rocks.

For new comers the preferred method of posting miles would be:

Sunday-miles-what you did
Monday-miles-what you did
Tuesday-miles-what you did
So on and so forth, posted daily or when the miles occur...

Total- Running total for the week thus far

As always this is not set in stone, if you post every other day or whatever fits into your schedule, but please try to stay close to the above format.

For those folks that don't do miles

for conversion to be made easy (Thanks Nonafit)

Now let's get moving folks :)

On your mark, get set....GO!!!

    my GO...was all small caps...

I did not go for my 10 km training circuit. My sister stood between me and the door. "Damn well I am going let you out of the door with fever!!!" she said. My lil sis has big temper. So is my record like below.

    Sunday - 1 km

    HARDCORE!!

I once saw a girl run a 5K using one of those Graco strollers. It was freaking intense....
I was also passed during my first 10K by a guy running uphill with a baby jogger.

Parent walker/runners are SERIOUS. :) Get it, girl!

Sundays are my long run day with the group training for the Rock the Parkway Half Marathon (only 11 days away now). This was my very first 12mile run, and it took near 3 hours for me keeping up about a 14:06min/mi pace. (My knee is back to complaining loudly right now, so am gonna have to find other training outlets this week... also going to try taping with some KT Tape another runner told me about).

Thanks all for the encouragement!!

Yeah - my kid weighs 42 pounds too. Actually, Sunday was a rest day, and my walk got cut short cause I had to go pick up my daughter. Oh well.
