I walked the dogs in the morning and did some easy work in the yard but by noon I was in the house watching a movie with DH and folding laundry, and when the dogs needed walking again, I let him take them.0 -

Day 11 - 22 (5/13 - 5/24) 1150 (marching pairs, knee raise pairs, side-lying leg raises, leg presses) *make up for missing 50!!

26 - 6/8 - 100 knee raises w/ dance video
27 - 6/10 - 100 knee raises and a walk w/ the hubby
I thought this was amusing... I decided to try one of the aerobic dance videos available on Netflix, and the first dance in the one I tried was essentially the knee raises I already do with some arm stuff and side to side steps thrown in. :laugh: So original! :glasses:0 -

Thursday I added several other calisthenics along with my squats. I've also been adding calf raises on some days. Barbie has got me thinking that I shouldn't just stand there while I brush my teeth, so if my squats are already done, I do some calf raises.
Jem-girl - nice work. Sounds like you're ready to make your own exercise video to sell.
It was good to get away for a few days, but also, nice to be home. I've been keeping my calories in maintenance range. But, need to get right back into my routine.0 -

:flowerforyou: Clover, I read somewhere "if you're moving, you're losing" so I never like to stand still so it's important to do something instead of just standing there while you brush your teeth or do the dishes or stand in line at the market or hold the dog leash

I took another page out of Barbie's book and held some dumbells while doing my squats. 25 - no weights, 25 - 5 lb each hand, 50 - 8 lb each hand. I'm thinking about getting a heavier pair one of these days. Also, went for a bike ride yesterday evening since my daughter and husband went to a movie. My son was home, but he was playing video games in his room, as usual.
Icandoit, you're doing very well with your squats and crunches. My belly could use a few crunches :-P I just picked up some more annual plants for my yard on clearance at Rite Aide. We had hail last week that took out some of my others.
Jem-girl, as long as you do something every day, I think you'll see results that you are pleased with.

:bigsmile: Clover, my 15 pound dumbbells were my Valentine present from my husband.......my yard project is mostly about moving rocks and creating a rock bed all around the house and moving some littler rocks to the edge along the street where the rocks are thinning out....I also have a few seeds planted in pots......I'll eventually put them in the ground when I figure out where I want them to go and after hubby finishes painting the fence...we moved to this house to have less yard work so everything we're doing is intended to make life easier.0 -

:bigsmile: after going to my regular line dance class this morning, I drove to the next town to help teach another class for the teacher who can't be there because her husband is dying....the dancing was fun but the circumstances were very sad :sad: .....I'll be teaching her Friday class for however long she needs me and the man who taught with me today will be teaching the Wednesday class.0 -

doing part leg and part crunches sounds like a super idea----it's the challenge and the consistency that really matters....I'm thinking of doing something more core oriented when I finish my 100 days of lunges

I finished the first week of Jillian Michaels's Ripped in 30 today. It was a bit tough in the beginning, but got easier as the week went on.0
