My next appt is the glucose test lol. yuck.

@karen_thinmint congrats on your pregnancy! How far apart will babies be? Weren't we pregnant at the same time for first babies? Approximately?

I nursed for 4 months during my 2nd pregnancy. Its draining.. kid bit more and my nipples were insanely painful. Its hard work!

Ha! Yes on same schedule. 👍 They'll be just under 2 years apart (23 months). Yeah it's starting to hurt, starting to cut down again; hopefully I'll get her off soon. My ob says it's higher risk of miscarriage so freaked me out a little. But baby had 180bpm heart rate and was waving their hands and feet at 8 weeks. And hearing other stories of people doing it makes me less nervous.

Oh that OB is silly, pish posh (overly cautious). I asked my midwife that question and she said there's no medical backing to saying it increases risk of miscarriage, unless youre super high risk already and on bed rest. A little oxytocin isnt a problem. If it was, no woman would be allowed to orgasm while pregnant. That heartrate is great, nice and fast! A girl maybe lol?

Hi all! I'm happy to have found this group. I'm pregnant for the first time. I am 12 weeks + 2 days, due in November. I haven't really been counting calories. Prior to becoming pregnant, I had lost 40 lbs with MFP and gained about 15-20 lbs back. I plan to weigh soon to see where I'm at from when I found out I was pregnant at 4 weeks. When I sporadically weigh, I seem to hover around +3 lbs from then. I feel like I've been eating so much. I haven't had much morning sickness, but I always feel so hungry.

    Thank you for that.

I'm hoping for a second girl, the first reading was lower so husbands convinced it's a boy. We will find out soon i guess.

Well... haha. My son was born 2 weeks ago. Yay! :) Got up the guts to weigh myself today. Gained 40 pounds. Basically back to where I started 3 years ago, after my first son was born. I guess it's time to get back to it!

@cooliocat123 congratulations! You did great. You'll find water weight will still be coming off on its own. Be sure to let your body heal for about 8 weeks at least before cutting calories. If you're breastfeeding that timing is good too since your milk supply should be mostly established. I hope you're recoverig well!

There is a group called Post-Partum Pack thats for weight loss sfter baby. I'm there attemptin to lose lol

So I just checked my weight on the weight gain calculator and I am at the top. Even if I maintain this week, I will still be at the top. A few weeks ago, I was right in the middle. I am a little frustrated. The little girl just likes carbs more then she did a week ago!!! I really need to log...more then 1 day a week.

I'm hoping I can have a few more weeks with minimal weight gain. I originally had a weight gain goal of 10lbs (since my BMI was obese when I got pregnant). I think I was a bit too optimistic.

@hesn92 that's awesome! I know weight gain slows down for a lot of women during the 3rd trimester, too. How are you feeling?
