Alyson - seriously 21 lbs is really really good. I gained 65 with my first. You are doing just fine.

I gained 60 with my first, so I'm definitely doing better this time, but the range my OB gave me at the beginning of the pregnancy was 10-20 pounds total (leaning towards 10), and I'm already past that with 6 weeks to go. I don't seem to have much control over it right now, which is why I feel like I'm failing :(. Blah!

3rd baby. Trying to be more aware this go 'round. Like the accountability of posting here:
5'5, 35 yr old. Lost 70 lbs after second son...
    was maintaining between 136-138.
    10 weeks- 138.4
    11 weeks- 138.4
    12 weeks- 140.2
    13 weeks- 144.4
    14 weeks- 142.6
    15 weeks- 143.6
    16 weeks- 143.0
    17 weeks- 150.6
    18 weeks- 151.6
    19 weeks- 152.8
    20 weeks- 152.6 (14.2 lbs gain)
    21 weeks- 158.6
    22 weeks- 159.8
    23 weeks- 161.4
    24 weeks- 164.4
    25 weeks- 166.4
    26 weeks- 164
    27 weeks- 163.4

Fhewww. Finally seems I'm stabilizing. Guess I should have been tracking all along! The break felt good, but watching those numbers go up and up got me back on track! Feeling more confident, still hoping to keep to a 30 lb gain... but, asked hubby for his weight, which was 169 something... and wondered if I could still make my goal to stay under him?! We shall see!!

16 lb gain so far, trying to keep it under 165 total. 5'3" 29 years old.

This week I felt like I wanted to sleep the entire time. I let myself have a major cheat day with all the candy I wanted and a regular soda and captain crunch for dinner and not much water, that turned into 2 cheat days and now I'm sitting here trying to get used to eating salad again. It's a slippery slope but I've got to keep this weight gain from creeping up like this. I got up to like 180 last time and I do NOT want to go there again. I'm buying an elliptical this weekend to get more exercise in.

pre-preg weight was 155.6... I had lost a bit before I found out we were pregnant.
    Age 31, 5'0

    26 weeks: 157.8

Ugh, what a week! I have been sooooo swollen this week even though I haven't gone totally overboard eating. I couldn't even think about moving my wedding rings until this morning when I managed to take them off (with a fight) and I still have an indent on my finger tonight! I stepped on the scale earlier this week and it said I was up 3 lbs from last week (159 something) but knew I was swollen... it worried me a little bit, but my hands and face weren't too visibly swollen, so I figured I was okay... the thought of pre-eclampsia freaks me out.

@scoopskipotato I have been so tired this week too - and last week if I'm being honest.

@AlysonG2 try not to be discouraged! Your body is going to do what it's going to do unfortunately at this point - I think you should definitely give yourself a pat on the back for doing better this pregnancy!

@TANNE21 I like the idea of goals. Mine this week will be to incorporate some sort of strength training 3x this week.

@poke987 way to go!!! A good reminder to myself to keep tracking 'cause it seems to be paying off for you!

7w: 177.8 (when we found out)
    12w: 178.9 (+1.1)
    13w: 177.6 (-1.3)
    14w: 178.5 (+0.9)
    15w: 180.3 (+1.8)
    16w: 180.6 (+0.3)
    17w: 182.2 (+1.6)
    18w: 184.2 (+2.0)
    19w: 187.1 (+2.9)
    20w: 185.5 (-1.6)
    21w: 188.4 (+2.9)
    22w: 190.4 (+2.0)

    Total gain: +12.6 lbs
Goal: gain between 15-25 lbs (or to at least avoid hitting 200)

I popped this week for sure and I have a feeling I was was a little bloated yesterday when I weighed in so I had wanted to weigh in today instead, but I forgot. I didn't do great at tracking and staying under last week, but this week I feel so much more capable. Funny how that goes in cycles, eh? I'm hoping to be back in the 180's next week.

Poke my husband stays at 169 also and like you I was determined not to go over his weight with this pregnancy(he is 6'0). When I gave birth to my second I ended up heavier than him at 175 lbs. My back up plan was to plump him up but that has never worked because of his freaky fast metabolism and work keeps him too busy.

I agree with @AlysonG2 .... @TANNE21 you have done AMAZING!! I can't believe you are already 37 weeks... like I've said to you before, you're so inspiring to me!

Thanks Ladies! And right back at you both! Your check-ins and support have helped me stay accountable - I feel very lucky to have shared this pregnancy time with you two!

@AlysonG2 - you are in the home stretch too and have done amazing! Do you remember how you felt during your first at this time? You are in an entirely different place now!
And @katiebrew you are doing FABULOUS! It won't be long for you either :) You should be so proud of where you are so far!!

And everyone else checking in this thread - it takes a lot of courage to post updates - thank you all for being inspirational!!

I wish there was a place to keep up with the weekly check-ins after baby is born. I've looked into some post-baby groups but haven't found any that seem very active. I wasn't sure if a new thread in this group would be appropriate....thoughts? I would love to see how others are doing weekly post pregnancy.

I follow the Post Partum Pack and read through the how much weight have you lost thread on there. It's not so active this month but I plan to post updates there after this baby gets here. It's not high-traffic but it's something. If you come across something better please post it here I'd like some new ones to check out!

Unfortunately this is my hubby fattened up! He used to hover in the 130s... i weighed more than he did for most of our relationship! I had only recently gotten lower than him... and now with the baby... back up I go! I think I'll have him best by the end, but I know that I can drop it... and he's been saying he wants to take off 15 or 20 for a year now.... so, I'm hopeful I'll be able to pass him pretty quickly on the way back down!

    Week 38: 172 (+15)

I had a low motivation week all around this week; I didn't work out much, water was low and eating was pretty careless. I even used the quick add calorie option when logging a few times because I didn't feel like tracking all of my snacking. I think I'm just ready to be done but I want to finish with a bang so I'm ready to get back on the saddle. I like goals too @katiebrew - they give me something to track….I'm such a list person :) I had an ultrasound yesterday and they are estimating baby to be 8# 2oz. My Dr offered to induce at 39 weeks (next week) but turns out their schedule is full until well after my due date (UGH!) so I’m on a waiting list. I’m just hoping that I go on my own before that. Everything happens for a reason, right?! 

    Goals:
-Log 4 hours of intentional exercise
-Drink 2 of my 28oz water bottles during the weekdays & 1 on the weekend days
-Plan my breakfast & lunch for the weekend to try and avoid making careless, spontaneous decisions

I'm thinking we should try and reinvigorate the existing thread in the Post Partum Pack group that @scoopskipotato suggested. There’s going to be a better chance of having higher participation there because it’s established. This way if we come up with post-partum related questions along the way, we will be in a group that is more suited. Hopefully if we all start posting more, it will encourage more traffic. I am open to anything else though!

The search feature for groups seems to be missing on MFP so I had to use Google to find the group. Here is the link for anyone else interested:
