I'm up another 2lb this week !! So 19lb total at 29 weeks. (5'7. Start weight 157)
I have stayed the same the last 2 weeks so still up 19lb at 31 weeks. Bump had grown though (as per measurements with midwife) so seemed to be ok.
Im trying to walk/exercise 30 mins each day and drink lots of water. The weather not that warm here so not struggling too much yet!0 -

Doctor has now informed me to cut out simple sugars (no ice cream, cookies, candy, cakes, etc. ), and I am trying so hard, but that is all I want! I'm also watching my carbs and trying to up my protein.

Goal: gain no more than 35 lbs (not going over my highest pregnancy weight of 210!!!)
With my first I was up 20lb by 20 weeks but by the end my total gain was approx 30lb so I must of just gained most early on then just baby growing and bit of bloat after that. So I wouldnt worry.0 -

Congratulations @AlysonG2 thanks for posting... I'm excited to follow you... im curious about after delivery!
I'll be honest. I was extremely disappointed to find I actually weighed 2 pounds MORE the day we got home than I did the day we went to the hospital. But each day since I've lost 2-3 pounds, so it's coming off, just not all at once like I thought it would.
My last pregnancy I had lost 20+ pounds by the time we got home from the hospital. Not sure what the difference is this time!

my last pregnancy I was only a couple pounds down after 4 days in in the hospital. If you had an iv you're probably just retaining water. Last time about 6 days later I woke up and didn't recognize myself in the mirror because I'd literally lost 10 lbs overnight. It will happen

So I decided to weigh myself a day early since we leave early in the morn tomorrow and I probably won't have access to a scale for a bit. I've got another 8 weeks before my scheduled c-section and I think it's safe to say I'm on track for a 20 lb gain or maybe a bit more, which is so much better than when I was pregnant with my son so I'm pleased with that! I was already 10 lbs overweight (if you believe bmi measurements) when I got pregnant with him and went on to gain over 42 lbs from my starting weight - I stopped weighing myself at that point near the end of my pregnancy. This time around I was like 27 lbs above the top range of healthy bmi. I have to say though, it is SO WEIRD how different pregnancies can be!
Anyway, my goal this week while on vacation with my husband is to get 20 minutes of intentional exercise in a day (even if its just yoga in the hotel room before bed), to drink 64 oz plus of water, and to not go overboard eating (gonna be the hardest!)

Hi,
31 y.o. first time mom.
5'6
starting weight 114 lbs.
weeks 1- 11 no weight gain.
week 12 115lb
week 13 116 lb
week 14 117 lb
week 15 118 lb
week 16 119.5 lb
I have remained pretty active and ate at maintenance for first trimester and increased by 250 calories second trimester. I eat about 2300 calories per day right now and am constantly ravenous. Hoping to only gain about 25 lbs, but it might more around 35 lb since my starting weight is a bit lower.0 -

It's ok you can make better choices from here on out. Talk to your doctor before starting any "exercise routine" as they don't recommend starting anything vigorous if your body isn't used to working out already. I'm sure just adding a daily 30 min walk would be fine though.
Find a manageable calorie intake like 2000-2300 (but still discuss this with your doctor). I try ("try" being the operative word) to keep mine around 2300.
I'm sure other people on here will have their own advice too.0 -
Ughh I hope it's wrong, but I'm eating like a garbage disposal and the past week or so shows it maybe. But seriously, I hope that 5.4lbs in a week isn't accurate but it's happened before in my pregnancy and I'm worried it's a trend!

Been fluctuating 163-168 on any given day it's so weird. I'm cutting my elliptical down to 30 minutes a day, 60 is just too much time and I feel a lot more tired after doing an hour. I'm starting some basic body weight exercises for about 15-20 minutes per day to get a little stronger.

Yeah just look up Postpartum Pack in groups and there's a thread on there about how much weight you've lost postpartum. It doesn't get much action these days but I need the accountability so we need to revive it!!

I just saw this now...Don't be ashamed!! If anything just try to work on unhealthy habits and try to walk a little everyday. Pregnancy is hard enough as it is and it's no time to try to go on a diet. I know it sucks gaining more than you think you should but don't be down on yourself for it. Updating here every week really helps me make better choices and it's probably why I haven't gained 30+lbs already lol

I'm so happy to have found this group! I didn't know it existed and I've desperately needed somewhere that can help me with accountability during this first pregnancy. A little about me, I lost about 50lbs in th last 1-2years however kind of let myself go right before getting pregnant (awesome right?, not). I gained about 15 of it back right before finding out I was pregnant.
29 years old. First time mom
Due dec 14, 2015
Starting weight 187.1
Ideal weight gain:15-20 pounds.
Current weight at 19+4 weeks :199.1 (+12lbs)
I don't feel I'm gaining at a good weight in order to hit my goal. I know people say you can just lost it after the baby is born but I want to try to be better about exercising and eating healthier. Currently I eat whatever the heck I want, when I want, in whatever quantity I want, which I know is not good! Any advice would be super appreciated. Thanks!!!0 -

Last week of the second trimester and I'm finally (just barely) within the proper range for weigh gain. My trend is also setting me on a better path, so that is fantastic! I'm very hopeful that I won't hit 200 unless I go really overdue and puff up with water.
I look forward to joining you ladies in the Post Partum Pack group once I've had baby! I noticed it doesn't really look very busy so hopefully you're all still there when I get there. I love posting my weigh-ins every week to keep me accountable.
