Total Gain So far: 10.2 lbs
GOAL: Only gain 25 Lbs during pregnancy.

I'm starting to wonder if my 25 lb goal is a bit lofty! I hope I can keep the weight gain at about 1lb a week.

From what i have read you gain the most in the second half of your second trimester so you might be right on track for your 25lbs :)

    I sure hope so!!

Took my GD test on Saturday and got the call an hour ago that I PASSED!!! The doctor said what probably helped was not gaining a bunch of weight already and losing weight in between pregnancies. So friggen excited! She's told me since my 9 week test she thinks I'll fail. WOOO!! No extra appts or stabbings! Now just to pass the GBS test at 36 weeks and I'll be all set! Oh yeah, and not getting so happy that I passed that I eat all the sugar (like I did with my daughter). 12 weeks go to and hopefully 10 lbs or less to go!

Grrr well a 2 pound gain since last week and I feel very bloated. Currently 37 weeks today and weigh 142.2. Starting weight was 115 @ 5'4. Was only gaining half a pound for the last few weeks then BAM! 2 pounds. I'm getting induced in 1.5 weeks so hopefully not too much more :)

Wonderful news!!! I pretty sure that is why I passed as well. Yay for more time to ourselves and not having to be stuck to a clock for our blood samples, lol!!!!

I'm six feet tall, started at 238 pre-pregnancy and today at 27 weeks I'm 248. I wanted to stay under 250 but that might not happen! I didn't gain anything for a while and the past 3-4 weeks it's exploded on me. Looks like everyone is doing great!

My son I gained 23 lbs total. 6 of those pounds were weeks 40-41 (I went 13 days over). I couldn't believe it!

Best of luck at your induction! Not much time left and you've done great on your weight gain!

Yes! Having GD wasn't the worst thing in the world, but I am so relieved not to have to drag two other kids to a bunch of appts! It was easier when it was my first and I had to work around my job but that was it. ANd I hated the stabbings and even more the heel pricks of my son after birth. Way to torture a newborn! But WOOOO!

Hello everyone! I'm new to the group and just started tracking my weight this pregnancy, as I'm really trying to stay under 20lbs! Aside from losing whatever I gain this pregnancy, I ultimately want to lose an additional 35lbs to get to my (first) goal weight of 160lbs.

I'm 36, and have a 21 month old son who was born 6 lbs 5oz on his due date :). With him I gained 35lbs (5lbs just in the last week) and it took me until his 1st birthday to lose it all. Not fun.

This pregnancy I had a lot of nausea the first trimester and then around 14 weeks I got a huge appetite burst!! So since the weight really seems to be coming on now and I've been eating way too much I'm back to tracking.

    Here are my stats:

Lowest weight since having my son: 194 lbs
Starting weight at 4 weeks (damn Thanksgiving!): 196 lbs
    12 weeks: 198 lbs
    15 weeks: 201 lbs
    17 weeks: 202.5 lbs

    Due date 8/7/14

    Height: 5'7"
    starting: 140.8 lbs
ending: 169 lbs (gained 28.2 pounds)
    1 week postpartum: 158 lbs (lost 11)

So I have 17.2 more pounds to go. With my first I gained 36 pounds and lost 25.5 of them in the first week so I'm a little disappointed I didn't lose more this week with how little I gained and how much I've been breastfeeding, but o well. I wasn't swollen at all this pregnancy and now my ankles and feet look like plump sausages, hella annoying. Good luck to everyone, stay fit and happy!

Week 33/34 doctor weigh in, gained .5 pds. In total 17/17.5 pounds. I was surprised I hadn't gained more considering the baby had gained 1.5 pounds. My weight has been stable for the last month, everything looks great so I'm fine with that. Really hoping to stay 25 pounds or below by the end!

I am just about 6 months now and have gotten back to my prepregnancy weight as of this morning.
On one hand, looking at just prepregnancy to now, there is no cause for concern because according to that method of 'measuring' I haven't gained anything.
On the other hand, I dipped down in weight in the first 4 months of pregnancy because of morning sickness. I lost 17lbs and just starting gaining 8 weeks ago. So, as you can see, this means I have gained 17lbs in 8 weeks!
I am not too concerned with where I sit now, but I hope the rate of weight gain slows a little - I think I have gained quite a bit fairly quickly.

Well, the former is the way that doctors measure --not the latter--so you're definitely not gaining too quickly nor does your rate of weight gain need to slow. I wouldn't worry about it as there's no way you're going to reach even the minimum amount of weight gain that's recommended.

Final weigh in since I'm getting induced tonight! 38 weeks today and weigh 144 even bringing my gain to 29 pounds. Starting weight was 115 at 5'4. I chose not to log the last few days and actually indulged a bit since I ate pretty freaking healthy the whole time and worked out until three days ago as well. My goal was to stay under 30 and I barely made it LOL
