how much weight have you gained

Hi all,
I'm 13 weeks and have gained 14pounds already, but that still puts me at a healthy BMI so I'm not too worried. And I'm now the weight that I was at the start of my first pregnancy. With my first I gained about 45 pounds...but my little girl weighed 9.2 pounds! So I lost a lot of weight pretty quickly after I had her; i then continued to lose and ended up losing over 55 pounds in total; I think my second will also be a big baby (runs in the family despite me not being that big!) I know it can be disconcerting and hard seeing the scales increase, but I would really not worry too much about it, and if you're able to resist try not to weigh yourself until at least 6months after the birth.
Not sure if this helps anyone, but as a guide this is where some of the weight goes:
Baby: 7-8 pounds
Placenta: 1-2 pounds
Amniotic fluid: 2 pounds
Uterus: 2 pounds
Maternal breast tissue: 2 pounds
Maternal blood : 4 pounds
Fluids in maternal tissue: 4 pounds
Maternal fat and nutrient stores: 7 pounds
So even an overall weight gain of 30-35 pounds can be considered healthy; I needed the extra weight to support my daughter as I put it on on my hips, this was to ease the pressure that my back was taking.
As long as you remember to eat sensibly once the baby is here and take baby out for plenty of walks; the weight will come back off :-)

I was getting a little carried away eating all the wrong things for like 4 days, & the scale went up 5 lbs. Yikes. I decided to get back to healthy eating yesterday (and did really good) the scale was 2 lbs down this morning. I knew it wasn't all real gain, but it was scary to see the scale up that much.0

I went overboard weekend before last and my weight jumped up 4lbs to 158. I was pretty sad to see that number but by weigh in on Saturday I went back to 155 even after I ate pretty badly Thurs and Fri. It's amazing how your body reacts with water retention during pregnancy! I'm sure as soon as you get back on track the water weight will go back down, just give it a few days

While I have been very tired, I pushed myself to keep moving this week. In return, I feel better and have more energy after the fact, although I am noticeably slower. I still need to work on drinking more water. I would like to start paying attention to my sodium intake; I've noticed it has been higher this month and I would like to see if that affects how I'm feeling. 7 weeks!

I waaaay over did it on eating this week. Lesson learned that it is critical to plan out meals while I'm not at work. This will be important to implement while I'm on maternity leave. So I weighed myself two days ago and had 155.4.... since then it has been so warm and humid, and my feet and hands were swollen this morning when I weighed myself again. BUT I have been eating a LOT and not so great stuff some days... anyway, this morning I was 156 something. Hoping its water retention though I know I've got to clean up the eating! I've had ice cream pretty much every day for a week now (and not small portions either... eep!) Keep it up ladies! You're doing great, and you're all pretty inspiring to me!0 -

I don't know how/where, but somehow I got off a week. Any ways I am so happy to be back down to 165 lbs. I am going to have to really watch myself. I had my first dr. apt. today & got to hear little babies heartbeat. I love that first time, hearing the heartbeat. I think I am pretty much over the morning sickness, so long as I eat healthy small meals, I feel pretty good.
