Love4fitness- I'm not sure it was "a lot" but I lost almost 8 lbs with morning sickness. I wasn't even throwing up. I was just so nauseous and had so many food aversions, I could barely eat.

I'd say 8 pounds is a lot. Lol. I wouldn't be able to lose that much if I was trying.

I lost around 8lb in my first trimester. 4lbs were intentional, before I knew I was pregnant. The other 4lbs were lost over the next couple of months while I was figuring out my nutrition needs as a pregnant woman, also breastfeeding, also running and doing other workouts. I actually ate a lot of food, the aversions weren't too bad and I tend to be less nauseated when I have a full stomach, so I had plenty of snacks.

Never would have happened in my other pregnancies, though! I gained like crazy from day 1.

I've just been hoping to maintain through the first trimester--I don't weigh myself at home though. I don't want to get scale obsessed while pregnant as I don't think it's mentally healthy. I also don't want the scale to dictate how much I eat if/when I'm hungry. So, I just get my weight every 4 weeks and kind of just accordingly (although I haven't had to make any adjustments).

Well, the nice thing about this particular thread is that, if you ARE scale obsessed, you can come here and freak out a bit... other women who totally understand the fear of gaining too much weight will a) tell you it's okay to feel how you feel and b) more importantly, reassure you that you're supposed to gain weight, you're pregnant ;)

    week 4 - 135
    week 6 - 134.4
    week 8 - 135.0
    week 10 - 135.2
    week 12 - 137.2
    week 14 - 136.0
    week 16 – 139.8
    week 18 – 141.4
    week 20 – 144
    week 22 – 146.4
    Week 24 – 149.4
Week 25 – 148 (got sick last week, but then superbowl happened so I’m back up to 149.2 today - don't know where it'll settle again)

Overall not bad. Last two times I didn’t slow down a lot in 3rd tri, so I’m betting I’m looking at about a 30 lb weight gain, which wouldn’t be that bad! I was hoping to be more like 20-25, but healthy weight range is all that really matters.

It's nice to have that support system. I was once as scale obsessed as the next--now my focus is just on having a healthy baby and being the healthiest mommy that I can be.

    Pre-Pregnancy weight: 186.2

    Cumulative weight loss/gain

    7 weeks: 183 (-3.2)
    13 weeks: 174.0 (-12.2)
    19 weeks: 171.8 (-14.4)
    23 weeks - 171.2 (-15)

Had an appointment today and doctor is extremely happy with my exercise, he was a little concerned about my lack of weight gain but as soon as I told him what I'm doing for exercise he didn't say anything else except how proud of me he is for my exercise. I've got the 1 hour glucose test on Wednesday, let's see if my lifestyle change over the last year helps me where it really matters.

I know. I joked with my mom a few times and said "Who knew? All I had to do to lose weight was get pregnant?" I'd never watched weight fall off that easily... not that i'd ever want to go through morning sickness to lose the weight. That was the worst.

I was supposed to gain a few pounds this week from my indulging at the SuperBowl party, but that didn't happen. Oh well. Maybe next week will be better. I asked my MW about doing the 3 hour glucose test instead of the one hour and she was fine with that. I'll do that on 2/17. I've been testing here and there with my meter the last couple of days, but the strips I have expired so I can't really go by them. :(

I run 3 miles 2-3 times a week and do a non-impact cardio kickboxing class twice a week.

Starting weight 66kg (BMI 22.5 so aiming for 11-16kg gain total)

    Week 1-11: +0.8kg
Week 12: 67.8 (+1.8kg, cumulative total) eek that was a huge gain last week but still within normal overall for first trimester

I stopped logging last week, and didn't get to the gym as much as I would've liked, so not too worried as I'm back on track this week :)

PS. I just bought myself a BodyMedia arm band which is helping me not go overboard with my food. My goal is to only gain pure baby weight these last 7 weeks.

Maintained this week so my 3 pound weight gain last week now looks like 3 pounds over 2 weeks which is A-OK. 2 weeks left and between my girl scout cookies and valentine's day I have no intentions of denying myself some yummies. I'm really happy it looks like a 25-30 pound gain for me overall.

34 weeks today and weigh 138.8 which is only 1 pound gained from last week :) starting weight 115 @ 5'4 so I've gained nearly 24 pounds and I get induced in 4.5 weeks! I have had to really watch what I eat and drink because I was consistently gaining 2 plus pounds a week for a while

I don't have a clue what my starting weight was as I "miscarried" and was magically pregnant again the next month but I do know that I gained 6 pounds my first trimester because I wasn't telling anyone and wanted the nausea to go away. I go back in tomorrow and I'm hoping it's not too bad.
