8.2 mile hike in sprinkles, then small light hail, then nothing, then a mile in the rain, but here is the miracle, I had an umbrella with me.
The bluff at about mile marker 4 looking down at the Katy Trail which goes across the entire state I believe for cyclists, walkers, runners, etc Keep posting your photos!!!

We just had a new park open last week - the trail is a former section of Highway 1 in an area called Devil's Slide. The road had to be closed so often due to slides that they eventually built a tunnel that was completed last year. It's awesome that they turned the old road into a walking/biking path! Finally had a chance to go walk it after work yesterday.

What a beautiful place to take a hike or bike ride!0

My friend showed me a cute little trail that I didn't know about that's right in my own neighbourhood. Who knew??
She found the one little spot of snow left to roll around in ... silly puppy

What a beautiful place. Love how dogs go insane with snow. My Senior dog turns into a puppy when she gets near snow.0 -
Love those pics grammiemaggs!!
Hiked 2.75 at Graham Cave State Park in Danville, MO today. Nice hike, will be prettier in spring. Also walked a bit in the neighborhood, no pics from there tho'
Hope you are all doing well and getting out. It is supposed to rain the next two days in St. Louis, so I don't know if I'll get out, tho' I want to. Poncho anyone?

Great pics Super Amy and nice video Hiker Dude. Didn't think I'd get a hike in today, but the rain stopped at 2 or so, so I hit the Clark Trail. Joe
I wasn't able to cross this creek last week due to the rains.
Today's trail wasn't this bad for the most part.
I'm really enjoying seeing other photos and hearing about all your great adventures!!!0 -
No hiking this weekend but I am planning on getting the kayak wet with a jaunt down the Stillwater River.
I've also started planning a backpacking trip to Big South Fork in Kentucky/Tennessee. If anyone has any favorite trails there please chime in.0 -

I've been waiting 3 yrs. to do this hike. It's all about timing , weather, and a hiking buddy or 2 that want to shuttle cars. Welp, it finally happened. We all wanted to do something challenging and with avalanche season here, we are limited. So Rattlesnake Mountain it was!!! 10.8 miles, 3384 total ascent 5 1/2 hours. (not counting the long breaks we took to admire the beauty of nature)
View from the first ledge (first 2 miles)
MEEEE
I do believe this was the only flat spot in 10 miles

View of Mt Si ( I hike up there all the time) Ha ! Poor souls that worked hard to get to top of that had NO view. Socked in with clouds. Glad I'm on the other side

Went on another hike along Wood BisonTrail in Elk Island Park. Came across some Buffalo, its an impressive site when they run.
Later on we came across a dead coyote along the trail. Provides us with a reminder of the cycle of life.0 -
Great pics everyone. I'm getting jealous of the hikes you are doing (in a good way)!!!! Joe0
