Here's to self control and no hangover :drinker:

    Go..baby..Go

Chloe, at our wine club place, the manager used to be in sales for hip replacements and changed careers to run the wine club. Good luck with the opportunity!! Maybe you weren't looking for a new job, it was looking for you?

Robin, I probably matched you or even went over...

Trade and new liquor from Brazil yesterday....acai liquor, it was one of our bottles from the wine club which is a twist from the usual wines...delish with lemonade.

I need to hit some zero's!!

I have some jalepenos from the garden so I am making some stuffed jalepenos that I learned from Trent long ago. I modified it a bit from his original.

    http://www.crumblycookie.net/2010/11/07/prosciutto-wrapped-neufchatel-stuffed-jalapenos/

I modified by not wrapping in proscuitto. Instead, I pan-fried the proscuitto and chopped into small pieces. Then, I just sprinkle on top after cooking. I've made this for parties and my whole family loves them.

Not a huge fan of the flavor of jalapeños unless they happen to be very fresh but I do however love pretty much anything spicy

Just got my bike ride done after alllllmost convincing myself to take a rest day today but I'm glad I did it because it's TOM so I lost some good water weight in that hour

Going out in a few for dinner with the fiancé, going to get the salad I love so much since I'm not that hungry and also get some champagne :drinker:

Well ....... I failed. Apparently drank too much and didn't eat enough last night. Don't remember the end of it but what I do remember was a good time. Also been keeping the hangover at bay by having Octoberfest and Harvest Pumpkin beer all day. Guess I should leave the scotch having for home and stick to champagne if we go to the bar with friends. Think I'll call it an early night and prepare for next weekend which is the Beer and Chili Challenge! So many delicious beers and so much good food, I'm hoping to keep things under control and not get caught up in the fun and guzzle like I did last night. Guess it's still a work in progress to pace myself in certain situations. Fiancé is making us dinner right now and I'm excited, he makes the best dinners

For those of you in the mid west and east I know you don't want to hear it but .... damn its hot. Okay so it is only 87 but I am used to 70 for my summer time heat so this is HOT! Fans are going full boat and the drinks are very very cold.

    Now your talking my language.

Well, Kat, you had good intentions...I kind of thought when you said you were having a salad that it could potentially be dangerous. Glad you had a nice recovery day.

Seems like everyone had a fabulous weekened.
We went down the shore friday afternoon. Never made it to the beach which bummed be out, but we sat outside my husbands grandmoms and enjoyed the day. Saturday my family came down for the day and we went whale watching, had dinner then took an evening stroll on the beach, it was a really perfect day. Then we went back to my husbands gmoms and hung out with my in laws. Came home yesteday afternoon and finished up season 2 of the Tudors.
    So....

Friday-1 bottle of white, 1 sweet tea vodka with water and maybe about 1/2 bottle of red, not too bad and felt pretty good saturday.
Saturday-3 beers, 1 strange concoction on the whale watching boat, and 1/2 bottle of white.
    Sunday 2 1/2 beers

All in all not too bad. I remember going to bed friday and saturday so that is a huge PLUS in my book and no hangovers. I even did some stuff around the house yesterday when we got home which, honestly, is unheard of (for me) on a sunday!!!

Not sure if I will have any wine tonight or not. Also throwing the idea around of a workout today BUT I usually don't wanna by the time I get home from the supermarket, so we shall see.
    Have a great day!

I did pretty good for the "long" weekend. Thursday I had a beer and 4ish glasses of wine. Friday was 4ish glasses also. I decided to make a yummy dinner: crab legs for app, mahi with kalmata olive, artichoke, white wine, lemon, butter sauce with lemon blue cheese risotto and mozz, goat, parm, sun dried tomato stuffed zucchini boats. So all that needed wine. Saturday I had a beer, 2 cocktails, and 4 glasses of wine over about a 5 hour period, so not too bad. Yesterday I had a Blue Moon with my burger for lunch. I don't feel like a bloated piece of crap today so I must have done something sort of right.

Sounds like you all had great weekends! I plan to stay dry for at least the next couple days.

Good grief ashley, that food sounds soooooo good!
Everyone sounds like they moderated pretty well!

Well Friday was ridiculously bad for me. Not only too many drinks but I ate like caca so I woke up a mess on Saturday, bloated and hungover. I had zero Saturday and drank a ton of water and had a great workout yesterday so Ive managed to undo the damage.
Im gunna try to step it up this week and shoot for some 0s. I need to drop some lbs before Maui. I have a casino trip planned for Wednesday but I dont really like to gamble (FINALLY a vice I dont have!) and I think I can get away with not drinking while Im there.

    Have a great week lushes!

Thanks nisi but it shouldn't matter how much I do or don't have to eat. What matters is how much and in what time period I have to drink. I can drink on an empty stomach and stop at 1 or 2 drinks and be good. I just get caught up when we hang out with friends and I forget to sip and forget to keep track of time and drinks :noway:

On that note, I spent yesterday drinking Fall beer watching movies and ending the night watching the X Files  Woke up feeling good and just cleaned up the kitchen and vacuumed and will get my 2 work outs in at some point. Probably drinks tonight as the fiancé will be late again the first part of this week.

Sounds like a good weekend for all, here's to a good week :drinker:

I think I need to detox after this weekend. Friday was ok, though, I only drank a couple of glasses of red wine, Saturday I started early, a marg and three or four beers. Then went toa friends and drank white wine spritzers but I had to get up early Sunday and I felt preety hung-over, so I had a bloody mary at breakfast and then went to a baby shower and drank mimosas.
I might try to go alcohol-free at the movie in the park tonight-ET! I am looking forward to it, will probably have some reese's pieces:wink:

    Who's with me?

Ha, ha, I have a ridiculous week and that's why I am going to behave. I picked up tons of hours this week not realizing that JHACO will be lurking in the halls for the hospital to be accredited. They scare me and I don't want to deal with them. This may require serious drinking if it happens. I have been able to avoid them all these years.

    Sunday 2 1/2 beers
    Monday-6oz of wine
    Tuesday-wine

I have found that if my booze fits in my day it doesn't affect weight loss either way so......well I haven't have a weight loss in a while but

I have found this rings true for me also. I also have found that if I pass on the booze, I tend to replace it with sugar, so it's a wash as far as calories go and I prefer a booze high as opposed to a sugar high :blushing:

    Sunday - 0
    Monday - 3 vodka drinks

Company starts coming in tomorrow, so I must get some cleaning done. Adios!
