Thanks for your help with this. I've been unsuccessful in finding a place to do a body fat test.

I've reached my "weight goal" and now I'm just working hard to continue progressing on my fitness journey.

    5'6"
    140 lbs
    48 yrs

    Relaxed.

jimlambrt2: We would put you right around the 10-11% mark. Definitely in a good position to start bulking if you want to.

Hey, I don't want to pester as you're basically doing for free what I'd have to pay for elsewhere, but have you had any thoughts about my bf%?

    Thanks.

Thanks for the estimate. I am going to stabilize my weight for a few weeks here and then try to add muscle (bulk).

    Hi!

We would put you in the low 20's. The estimate is a little vague, so apologies, but it is hard to get an accurate estimate due to the fact you have lost 90lb and your BF is relatively concentrated in one area.

Cool thanks. I kinda knew this might be the problem. The calcs figure me out at 16-18% but I didn't think I was this low as I have very slim bones for someone 195cm (my wrist is 6.5"). Still got plenty to work on then. :)

Just did a quick calculation and this means I'll have to lose at least 30lbs before my bf% is low enough to bulk. <sigh>

To clarify, you may want to bulk before that. You have a relatively low muscle mass for your size (or probably, more accurately, you have an average muscle mass as far as the general population goes) and so may not have the LBM to support getting that low. Someone with a lower LBM often needs to bulk at a higher body fat % otherwise they can end up getting too thin in the areas where they do not hold the weight.

    Stats: 5'2" 126lbs --- I'm thinking 20-22% BF scale has been about 20% lately.

Unflexed (probably holding the abs tighter though)
