Weighed in this morning...34 weeks/3 days and up 26 lbs. Still hoping to stay under 30, although it doesn't look promising. We shall see:)0

I'm not saying don't eat, but I lost a couple of pounds towards the end of my last pregnancy (which was fine b/c I was already overweight and had gained ~60 lbs!), and I remember telling the OB nurse that it was because I didn't have room for very much food anymore. I wasn't starving or anything, I promise, but I did lose a bit at either my last or second to last visit because of that! So you may very well end up at or below 30 pounds. You never know.0 -

That's true...I remember I didn't gain at all like the last 2 or 3 weeks of my last pregnancy because there just wasn't any room! I'm hoping that's the case this time, but I'm also preparing myself if I go a lil' over too:)0 -

hey ladies, im at 31 weeks and im up 40 lbs!!! i had to step on the scale again at the doctors office for a double take. whats worst is everyone keeps telling me i look small for 7 months lol i believe alot of the pounds are water weight.I do watch my sodium intake and for the past couple of weeks I've been noticing that my ankles and legs are swelling. My OB said to eat foods like grapes and watermelon. So for the past week ive been indulging in grapes and watermelon and it has made the swelling go down. Hopefully I stay under 50 lbs, if not i just have to work twice as hard to get back to my pre-preg weight..0

I'm right with you on the weight gain!0 -
23 weeks and 25lbs...although, "just" 4lbs in September, so that's a big slow down for me on the weight gain! If I keep up the 1lb/week weight gain, I will be at 42lbs for the entire pregnancy. So, that's my motivation to keep eating healthier - a 42lb gain, haha.0

27 weeks and up 36lbs . NOT HAPPY about that at all !0

Hi everyone! I will be 15 weeks on Thursday and I've gained only 2.4 lbs. I couldn't eat much during my first trimester and it turns out I was lactose intolerant as I was with my first pregnancy, so since I've changed my milk to lactose free, I have been able to eat a little more. On my first pregnancy I gained 36 lbs. and only lost 11, so even though I haven't gained much so far, I'm still much over weight from my original weight before I had my first daughter, so those of you who have gained a little more, don't get discouraged. It's a learning experience.1

I just looked back at my weight gain per month - it's so crazy inconsistent!!
May (weeks 2-6) +1.3
June (weeks 7-10) +8.2
July (weeks 11-14) +2
August (weeks 15-19) +9.6
September (weeks 20-23) +3.8
WHAT THE HECK?!?!?! I guess I will never understand how the pregnant body works0 -
I am a little over 11 weeks and have gained 7.2 lbs. Freaking out a bit too. :-(0

I am about 15 weeks pregnant. So far I haven't gained anything...I've actually lost 6 pounds since I first found out I was pregnant. This was due to a terrible first trimester! I was so sick and couldn't eat anything. It was awful. I just recently got my appetite back. So thankful for this! Once I start gaining, I will be sure to post!0

Chicky- it's still possible! The last 3 weeks of my last pregnancy I didn't gain any...there just wasn't room. You might be pleasantly surprised:)0 -

thanks for the hope, it's actually 44.2 lbs, I was just rounding up. If I only gain 1lb per week that would be great, but it's been averaging about 2 per week0 -
I'm 30 weeks and 1 day! I started out about 45 lbs overweight, so I've been SUPER cautious! I have gained 10.5 lbs!!0

I haven't kept track from week to week but I'm 12 weeks and for the last 2 weeks the scale has gone up and down between 6-10lbs total gain....I'm hoping it's closer to the 6 since doc said to try to only gain 10 in the first 1/2 of the pregnancy0
-
Doctor's scale: Started weight 124 lbs ( gain of 18.5 lbs as of last week )
My scale : Started weight 121.5 lbs ( gain of 21 lbs)
The thing is I didn't go to the Dr's office until I was 8 weeks pregnant and I knew like 4 weeks before that my actual weight .. so that is what I am going for .... a gain of 21 lbs @ 29 weeks ...
I wanted to gain 25 lbs .. ohh well what are you going to do :P ? ....0 -
Hello ladies,
I am on the home-stretch at 36 weeks. Agree with all that weight gain is not linear. Have spurts that are better and worse. With both this pregnancy, and my last, I packed on the most weight during month 5 (6-7 lbs) because I was so darn hungry. I am starting to slow things down now. I also realize how close I am to having to LOSE that extra weight. So today I had my last donut of the pregnancy (running total: 5. Number in the last 3 years: those same 5!). I also have decided to part ways with ice cream (had two great pints over the last month). My total weight gain is 23lbs, and am really trying to stick to 25lbs total, but it's going to be close! Highly depends on when D-day actually comes!
Am thinking if there are any other fattening foods I want to have between now and then, because after D-day, I'm going off sweets. What about you???0
