  • I completed day 10! I've had a couple food slip ups but managed to lose two inches around my waist and one around my thighs so far. :) I also feel like my face has gotten smaller. I always lose weight there first haha.

I'm new, but I just finished day 4. I'm trying to take short runs 3-4x/week too...hoping to get healthier and maybe lose 5-10 lbs. Mostly I just want to build muscle and lose a bit of fat. I'm going on vacation in 7 weeks and using that as motivation to get off my butt!

I am much less sore today! I alternate weights used - 5lb weights and a combination of 3lb/5lb weights. I think after today I am going to try to use only the 5lb for the rest of level 1.

Besides running a little, I haven't been doing any additional exercise besides extra crunches and reverse crunches after 30DS. Since I can only do maybe 1/3 of the pushups in proper form I've found level 1 doesn't really do as much for my abs as I'd hoped (no soreness is a bad sign!) but I'm sure this will change in the next two levels. I am keeping a food diary and carefully watching calories right now because I do want to drop a small amount of weight, but I guess eating a low calorie diet might slow my muscle development a bit.
  • yay!! I compeleted day 5 of level 1 and, I feel great.

d5 L1 done. This workout is still hard the second time through. Maybe I am working harder at it. I'm glad it is one that I should not outgrow. I might get bored with it, but I don't think it will ever get too easy for me.

What do you all use to count calories burned? I'd like to get something but I am on a pretty tight budget.

And I finished day 5 today. Feeling good! Actually managed to do all the arm exercises through with 5lb weights. I already really feel a difference in my stamina, so I am eager to see how I feel when at day 30.

Is anyone else going to post their photos and measurements after the first 10 days or is it just me on my own? :(

    D6 L1 done.

I found a formula to calculate the approx. calories burned.

    It is :
Your weight x 3.267 divided by 3 (to show for 20 minutes) = calories burned.

    For example:
    165 x 3.267 /3 = 179.685 calories burned.

Not totally sure how accurate it is, but it gives me a guideline.

    level 1 day 1 1/3/13
    Level 1 day 2 1/4/13
    level 2 day 3 1/5/12
    level 1 day 4 1/6/13 371 cals burnt
level 1 day 5 1/7/13. OMG my shoulders and my thighs, but that only means it's working!

level 1 day 10 done and done! rest day tomorrow, then on to level 2

Level 1 day 6 1/8/13. I usually do this at night, but we're calling for severe storms and I wanted to make sure I got it done (no excuses!). I actually feel great even tho I did day 5 and day 6 less than 12 hours apart!

apparently my post from yesterday didn't take, so:

    level 1 day 7 1/9/13
    level 1 day 8 1/10/13

should finish level one Saturday, taking a break on Sunday before starting level 2

    level 1 day 9 1/11/13

Day 7 done! I haven't lot any weight yet, but I think it might be time-of-the-month related so I'm giving it time. I've been under on my calories all week and I really think I am starting to see a bit of difference on my arms and waist. Besides measurements, I FEEL great - so much more energy. I am actually looking forward to my workouts each day! Tomorrow I am doing 30DS twice because I want to finish it early to get started on RI30 before my vacation.

Day 4, level 1 done. A couple sleepless nights was no good for getting into routine! :/ But, glad I did it earlier!! :)

Glad to see so many people logging on and sharing the journey with us!

Day 5, Level one DONE 1/9/13!

    Day 6, Level 1 DONE 1/10/13!

Reading everyone's comments- i am just so proud of everyone!! Great job sticking to this you guys, and loving hearing about results!!! I actually gained a lb...but i think it is from the muscle work...retaining water. idk what else it could be! I am not goingt o measure until the morning of day 1 of level 2! :) Hoping to see some inches gone! WOld be nice to see some lbs go as well, but inches will suffice!

    Day 7, Level 1 DONE 1/14/13!

I am obviously taking the scenic route! lol. I also did miles 1,2 and 3 of Leslie Sansone's 5 Really Big Miles walk at home DVD. Wore me out!!
