I have completed 7 miles walking this week between the treadmill and Leslie Sansone. I need to get in 10 this week on my journey to 30 for January. Two more days to get it in. Sunday is my rest day. Also, I've completed some strength training this week...crunches, bicep curls, squats. Feeling very good.

So far this week I did my treadmill twice for 45 mins each time. My knee tends to bother me every time I try to get a regual routine going.. I plan on going to a special shoe store like Fleet Feet in the next couple of weeks. I want to make sure I have some good sneakers to workout in. I'm hoping that will help solve my knee pain. I hoping its just from improper shoes. Plus being overweight.

Making it three miles on the treadmill was my goal for this week, and I've reached it!! Don't know how much more I will be able to do this week, my stomach is being bad. :(

Congratulations on making your goal! That's awesome!

Fitness goal for the next week is just to keep on moving. C25K didn't work out so well, my treadmill belt has an occasional hesitation in it. I didn't feel very safe on it during the running/joggin part. So I will just keep doing my Leslie Sansone DVDs and my strength training.

Fell short on my walking Saturday, Monday and Tuesday but working to get back on track.
Wednesday I did two resistance band exercises. Will do those today, too.
Yesterday I got on the treadmill. I went only 1/2 a mile, but it's the most I've walked at one time in more than a year.

    My new plan is:
Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday on the treadmill.
Monday, Wednesday & Friday using resistance bands.

I don't want to push too hard at either. My goal is to work up slowly rather than push myself to the point where I never want to exercise again--which is how I've always approached exercise in the past.

My friend canceled on me last night for our weekly meet-at-the-gym, but I went anyway. We're hopefully going to get together at the gym on Saturday. I had a great week for fitting in workouts, so I hope to keep it up for next week.

I made it to the gym for the first time in many years today, and even though I feel sore I'm glad I did it! Most of my exercise so far has been walking the dog (which I'm pretty religious about), but with temps in the single digits for the foreseeable future, I have to go indoors to burn the calories.

My challenge this week was to burn 2000 calories. I have already done that and still have two more days! Next week I REALLY want to finish my weight lifting book and get that new work out going! Here's to a healthy weekend!

For the upcoming week I want to do at least 20 min a day of something, did not quite hit last weeks goal but was able most days to do 20 rather than 30, so I am scaling back a bit this week and will see if I can manage to beat my goal instead. Today (Sat) I did 18 min on my treadclimber, which feels way harder than a 2 mile leslie sansone tape and registers less distance. Not sure what that's about. But I feel good after and I find myself wanting to do it more often, so that's my real goal, to actually want to do it
  • I plan to schedule my exercise in my work calendar for the week so that I save the time to get it done

Fitness goals again already!! Well I didn't quite make my daily goal this week, but the total minutes for the week were right on track. So this week's goal - 20 min a day x 7 or 140 minutes total in the week, whichever works out. When I do the sansone video it's 1/2 hour so even if I only get it in 5 times I will still be over goal. But I am still aiming for something every day and see if I can make it this week.

I am planning on 5 days of cardio workouts with 2 of those days being strength training also. I usually do cardio 7 days a week but sometimes something comes up and I just take it for a rest day.

We are having an ice and snow storm right now so for the weekend it looks like we will be staying at home with no big temptations!

Need to confess that I did not do the treadmill last week. But I did increase my walking. Now, my goal is to hit 5,000 steps a day, up from 4,000 goal last week.

Second week doing a little bit of resistance band workout. I'm starting slow and easy and, so far, I like it!

I completed my Leslie Sansone 30 mile challenge for January. In fact, I walked 33 miles between Leslie DVDs, treadmill and the park. I'm quite proud as I couldn't start until Jan. 7th because of my ankle. My goal for February is 40 miles. I plan to incorporate a little light jogging if my ankle & knee hold up...if not strictly walking. I also will continue with daily challenges and I need to begin strength training at least 2-3 days a week.

I lost 4lbs in January so I'm very motivated!!!
