    Finished climbing the slope, made camp in a firwood, sleeping by a large tree. Ate and set out again @ 10am.

    50 miles. Hello, byrdiebee! I missed the last post where you said hello and that you could see me in front of you. Looks like you passed me and got way ahead of me. I lost my workout buddy for a couple of weeks because she hurt her leg and I kind of lost my motivation for a while. Now that I have my motivation back, I have to have surgery (nothing too serious) and can't exercise for a few weeks.

    10.5 miles now. Hobbiton hidden as slopes rise and fall.

    I'm starting to feel homesick already, or maybe just hungry - supper soon when I can find some trees to rest under.
