No miles today. No miles tomorrow either. But after that I will be back to my normal work hours so will have most Fridays off and should be able to get back on track with my miles.0

Tacking on another 9 miles from the Fat Tire bike. You guys gotta get one of these! The ride was through snow, mud, rocks, woods and sand and it did all of them and made it almost easy! Very stable with the 4" wide tires. Even when slipping in the mud it didn't want to go down. It would have been even easier to go over the branches, rocks and stumps if I had dropped the pressure in the tires just a bit. This is quickly becoming my favorite bike.

What fun! Getting muddy on purpose! I just took my new one over to the school for about 50 minutes and made sure I could still do it. It was iffy there for a while. Still working on my "U" turn and not running off the asphalt onto the grass screaming like a girl...oh, wait, I am a girl so that part's okay! I had my husband in stitches though.
6.75 walking miles...4.58 biking miles...total miles 11.33
Have a great Tuesday.

Chris - That's funny. :-) I can't remember what you got for a new bike. Refresh my memory. That sounds like fun riding with the hubby. I can't get my wife to ride very often or very far but I do enjoy when she goes. I took the dogs today. They had a blast and the new one was doing the silliest thing. When we got to Cliff Lake, she was lying in the water and would stick her head under the water like she was trying to get rocks off the bottom of the lake. We were all really muddy by the time we got back. The inside of my truck looks terrible but it was worth it.
Scarfe - It really was fun. If you get the chance to ride a Fat Tire bike off road, take it. I had wanted the Moonlander with the 4.8" tires but I couldn't afford it and I got a great deal on this one. It's a couple pounds heavier and has an aluminum frame instead of steel and it's got 4" tires instead of 4.8" tires. It was a blast to ride though. I'm glad I got this one. Saved some money AND got a great bike.

04/12 - 4 mile hike with Cora, then walked to the local fairgrounds to welcome MS150 cyclists to my hometown, then back home again, another 4.3miles
The support from local people along the MS150 route was awesome, so inspirational! Every town we went through had people lining the streets with signs, waving and yelling (and offering beverages, etc)! It really gave us a boost! Thanks!0 -
