Weigh In - July

Good morning all! It's about 7:30 AM on the East Coast USA and that means weigh in time! On another note, I'm going to unlock this thread earlier in the future to account for different time zones and then it will be locked within 30 hours until the following week.

When commenting, please follow the following format (also PLEASE PUT YOUR UNIT OF MEASURE as some people use lbs, kgs, or stones):

Starting Weight or SW: (this value is your starting weight from the PREVIOUS WEEKLY WEIGH-IN, not since starting MFP)

I will do a new thread each month. Also, if people are interested I can create a spreadsheet or something to track the groups progress (I like spreadsheets so it's no trouble at all).

    Damn. I must have been really bloated when I weighed myself Wednesday or my scale is lying to me today (and I got on and off a couple times). My personal "official" weigh-in isn't until July 9, so we shall see what happens.

    Not as much as I'd wish, but I know I had a hectic start of the week food-wise. I am also already feeling way stronger and in better shape (can definetely feel it in my arms!) so that's the most important for me now. Have a good week lady !

    Tough week this week. There's been parties and take aways and the weather has been extremely humid, making it tricky to work out (as i use an outdoor gym). But I'm slowly getting there.

    No loss in the past week. Hmmm.

    I know this is the 50+ group, but I'm not sure if my goal weight will end up being my goal weight. I kind of just picked a number at low end of the healthy range for my height. In the end, I might find that something higher than my goal weight is good for me. In other words, I don't really know what I'm doing!

    Just stick with us until whenever your decide you have area he'd goal :)
  • Decided to get one more work out in before home weigh in (I weighed yesterday at docs office, but was thinking, "Just maybe...."). No such luck as an extra pound shed, but it was a good week over all! Four work outs in this past week!

    7/11/14 Update:

    Hello all!

    I am so encouraged by the pounds I am seeing shed this week! That's awesome!

    To those of you who didn't lose or happened to gain, it is very true that it could be from muscle tone and definition that is building in areas that used to....well....you know, just kinda hang around....! lol.

    DO NOT be discouraged, as inches lost, stamina, and strength increase are also HUGE gains (that we actually want) that can transpire before pounds begin to come off....SO HANG IN THERE!

    Not really a gain as my July 4th weigh-in was all kinds of botched...I *know* that I wasn't that weight for that weigh-in but I could not get the scale to read any differently unless I stood on it with weights. Anyways I am down to 198.2 from 202 as of July 1, down about 4 lbs.

    Up 1lb this week but I had a great week, tracked calories daily, continuing to progress with the c25k and enjoying the crunch challenge. Not disheartened by the gain because I am becoming fitter and healthier :) Good luck with your weigh ins everyone :)

    Not surprised. This has not been a great week for me. My 10-year-old nephew got hit in the eye with a roman candle on Sunday night, so I was at the ER with him for a couple of hours, then went to stay with his 8 siblings while BigBro, SIL, and nephew went to Children's Mercy in Kansas City to see specialists. (He's doing well; prognosis is good for a full recovery.) Stayed with the kids until Tuesday morning, then had to go out of town for the day. The rest of the week I've spent catching up on work and sleep. Diet has been dreadful; back on track with exercise as of last night.

    Need to do some meal planning for the next week and head to the grocery store.

    I updated earlier in the week when I got a reading of 155, but since then I've been kind of up and down within about a three-pound range. Oh well. I still am having trouble with the calorie target, not being able to meet it when I exercise. It's pretty frustrating.

    Melifornia - sorry to hear about your nephew's accident! I hope he's ok.
