    Pre-Pregnancy-150lbs
    9 Weeks-145lbs (severe morning sickness)
    12 Weeks-145lbs
    Today at 16 Weeks+5 Days-147lbs

I was a little concerned about my progress, or lack of, but at my last appointment the baby was growing just fine and the OB said I'm doing good. I'm working out less (but still a few times a week) and eating more so idk! I still could stand to eat more calories but I get so full I don't see how I could possibly eat and drink more. When does the major appetite kick in?!

You're doing.just fine. I didn't gain my first 12weeks either and bam I put on 5lbs out of nowhere and been bouncing between 5-6 lbs gain for last 2 weeks. My weight gain picks up very fast after 20wks and lasts until 28wks, then it slows down again.

    Edit * this is my 3rd kid, I'm.just about 15 weeks now. I'm 5'5 as well :)

Thank you, this is my first so I don't know how my body is going to change. So far a little slow but I notice changes physically for sure! In the belly...and other areas, even without weight gain

Hi all :) I'm 5'4", 28 years old. I was gaining a lot of sudden weight the three or four months before finding out I was pregnant. I was actually getting concerned about my fertility (I had been charting, and the month before conception, I'm fairly certain I did not ovulate) because of my weight gain. But then the next month, low and behold, BABY! So here are my stats. I haven't really kept up with a week to week, but I'm happy with how my weight is tracking since I was obese pre-preggo (still am, but losing slowly/healthily!)...

Pre-Pregnancy: 227 (down from 232, but still the highest weights I'd seen EVERRRR)

Week 5ish, when I found out I was preggers: 227

So far so good, as far as appointments go. I'm happy I haven't had any dramatic weightloss so I know baby's doing okay too. I've been walking more than this winter of course, but I will say I've been eating like CRAP. Mostly I eat crap, but I just eat so much less of it at a time! Then walking for about 30-40 minutes a day, and standing as often as I can at work (I have a standing desk that I can adjust if I need to sit) has helped a lot I think! Some weeks my DH and I eat so much pizza...but I still lose weight. I know it won't last, but it's hilarious saying that I'm on the Pizza-Pregnancy Diet! Thankfully I've been wanting fresh fruit and some raw veggies since getting into the second trimester. :)

Keep up the great baby making, ladies!

Edit: And I didn't have ANY morning sickness. So I really chalk up the weightloss to eating less and walking. :) Oh and baking a bun in the oven! Our body temps are just HIGHER now!! :) Sometimes this all doesn't seem real, but I have started noticing a baby bump in the past couple days, so that's exciting! :)

    Week 24: 227.2 (-.6)
    Week 25: 230

    Total: - 10 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight

Definitely pigged out over the holiday weekend! I need to be more careful if I want to stay under 240. Now I'm not sure if that's a realistic goal for me. I'm only supposed to gain 15, but I'm assuming that's from my "pre-pregnancy" weight at my first appointment.

Checking back in at 17 weeks....AND.... 1 pound gained from pre pregnancy weight.
My weight was/is too high for my height, so I'm wanting to gain 12-15lbs total in my pregnancy. My doctor doesn't seem worried about my weight and the baby is healthy

I don't get it since my OB told me yesterday I didn't gain this past week. Officially hit the 20 pound mark but baby already is weighing in a tiny bit over 6 pounds according to yesterday's ultrasound....big baby!

The baby shower was absolutely wonderful and my friend took our maternity photos. Seriously though we should have taken maternity photos a long time ago because at 36 weeks I definitely do not look cute pregnant anymore!

    1st pregnancy
    Height: 5'6
    Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
    April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
    May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
    June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128 (home scale, right before appt, read 126.6)
June 23 - 21 weeks: 131 (Yikes, a 3 pound gain!! baby girl must have had a growth spurt this week!!)
July 14 - 24 weeks: 3rd routine appointment, weight = 132.1 (home scale, right before appt, read 131.4)

    Total gain, roughly, 12 pounds.

Week 13: 160.2 lbs (+4.2 lbs) right on track
    Week 17 1/2: 162.2 (+6.2 lbs) on track (At home scale 17JUN14)
Week 17 1/2: 161.4(+5.4 lbs) on track (Doctor office scale! 18JUN14)
Week 21 1/2: 166.2 lbs (+10.2 lbs) on track (at home scale 15JUL14)

So gained 4.8 pounds in a month (4 weeks) which is right on track, my goal for this pregnancy is to stay in the recommended limit of 20-25 pounds for slightly overweight starting weight for 5'3" 156 pounds BMI of 27. I know I can do it although this month may be hard since I got in a really bad car accident and now can't workout like I was due to neck and back injury. :( There's still walking though which I am gonna stry to step up more now that its light outside for longer. :)

Tomorrow is an exciting day get to find out the sex of the baby! I can't wait!!!

129.2 lbs at 20 weeks. Up 7.4 lbs total, .6 gained since last week. My midwife wants me at 40 lbs total and told me to eat 3000 cals... I upped my calories now by 500/day so I should start gaining 1 lb/week. That's still 2100/day and I don't think I can eat much more than that!

you're doing fantastic! I'm sure your maternity photos will be lovely! Also, ultrasound weights are estimates at best. At 36 weeks the average baby is ~5.78 pounds so your little one is only ~4-5oz more than "average" which is negligible and actually completely normal if you're having a boy since boys weigh a bit more than average and girls less. Don't stress it. My little girl was 4lb12oz at 33w3d which is 5oz more than "average" and they said she was "perfect."

You don't have to up your food volume, just your calories! Just adding certain things to your food will increase the calorie intake, like mayonnaise, peanut butter, etc... and actually, nuts are a healthy way to get some extra calories without feeling like you're stuffing your face! Another option is to maybe drink a protein shake of some kind.

Thought I would update my info. on this thread. Pre-pregnancy weight: 113lb at 5'4 height. Just left the doctor's appointment today - 35w/4d and my weight is 130.8lbs. So, I've gained roughly 17.8lbs., which I'm happy with.

They also did an ultrasound today, baby weighs 5lb. 3oz! Fundal height is still about 1.5weeks behind, and there were a few measurements that were slightly behind, but the doctor was happy! Both my husband and I are pretty small people, so the doctor is expecting our baby girl will end up weighing right at 7lbs, or slightly below. We can't wait for her to be here!

Okay, been a while since I updated my stats here:

    Pre-pregnancy weight: 159.9
    Height: 5'9"
Found out I was pregnant at 4.5 weeks

    Week 5: 160
    Week 7: 162-ish
    Week 9: 163.3
    Week 10: 165.2
    Week 13: 167.4
    Week 14: 167.4
    Week 15: 169.4

I'm not pleased about the 2lbs jump since last week. I've made it my goal to gain no more than the respectable 25-30lbs, and so I'm still basically on track for that. But, ergh, I still hate to see it creeping up so fast.

Now that I'm in my 2nd tri I've been starting to feel better, but still not 100%. I've got a step tracking app on my phone that's been helping me stay active, and I've been trying to get to actual workouts when I have the energy. Made it to the gym for the first time in weeks the other day -- 30 easy mins on the elliptical felt great!

I think my trouble is letting myself have free reign on the treats that I want, which I kept on a much tighter leash before. I told myself that I wasn't going to make different choices just because I was pregnant -- as much as possible -- and having ice cream after dinner when really, I'm basically full and I'm honestly just letting myself indulge because "I'm pregnant, leave me alone!" is no good.

Anyway, confessing myself here feels good, haha! Here's to a healthy weekend, ladies!

    Week 24: 227.2 (-.6)
    Week 25: 230 (+2.8)
    Week 26: 231.8 (+1.8)

    Total: - 8.2 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight

Arrrrrgghhhhhh. So frustrating to see how quickly the weight is coming back on! I know a couple pounds of it is probably water weight, as my fingers and feet have started swelling. My ring doesn't fit anymore, and some of my flat shoes are now too tight. But still.... I'm resigned to the fact that I'm going to gain weight. I'm pregnant, it happens... I'm not going to cut calories or starve to rein it in, but I'm not happy about it either. I feel like I've been eating fairly well (with the occasional treat).

Looking at the numbers, I guess I'm not doing too badly. I've gained back approximately 10 lbs from my lowest weight, and I'm still under my pre-pregnancy weight. 26 weeks today, so I shouldn't be too hard on myself. But I was REALLY hoping to go in to delivery under 240 lbs. I'm not going to make it another 14 weeks without gaining more than 8 lbs, but I'm going to really try to keep it in check.

    Hello all,

I am brand new to this group. I found out I was pregnant on 5/1/14, conception was likely 4/16/14.

    Height: 5'4"
Pre-Pregnancy weight: 186.4 lbs on 4/16/14 (20 lbs lighter than last start of first pregnancy!!)

    Weights:
    4/16 - 186.4
    5/1 - 187.4
    6/15 - 187.4 (11 weeks)
    7/7 - 191.4 (14 weeks)
    7/15 - 191.4 (15 weeks)
    7/18 - 192.2

5.8 lbs gained so far at 15 weeks, 4 days.

I really wanted to get lower in weight before conceiving this time around, but things don't always work out that way. My hope is to keep my weight as close to the 200 mark as possible. 20 lbs of gain would put me at 206.4 and would be equivalent to .5 lbs per week of pregnancy. I think it's do-able now that I don't have the same mentality of "eating for two" as I did last time. I gained a whopping 45 lbs to bring me to 250 lbs on my delivery date last time. My mentality last pregnancy was also that it was ok to gain about a pound a week. I have very different goals now that I know what kind of pregnancy it could be if I don't keep things in check. I had several complications due to weight and I do not intend to have those same problems again! I was also advised to not exercise last pregnancy due to placenta previa which was a big bummer for me.

You all are inspiring me that this can indeed be done and I am perfectly capable of remaining in control of my eating while pregnant.

You sound pretty similar to me with previous pregnancies and this time too. I'm 21 weeks today with starting weight of 55kg/121lb and gained 3kg/6-7lb so far. I'm 5'7" so a little taller though. I have a midwife appointment this week so I'm wondering if she will say anything about weight gain being small, especially as I'm starting 5kg lighter than my pregnancy 3 years ago. Last pregnancy (same midwife but as part of a team) I was never actually weighed throughout pregnancy and I gained at least 18kg/40lb with a baby 8lb12.

All the best with baby #3 :)

Up 30 pounds total from my happy weight and I'm 38weeks. Hoping to end at 32-33 pounds total gained. That seems reasonable. I'm also hoping that I'll lose 22-23 of it by my 6 week check and the other 10 over the following 5 months.

    Starting weight: 113 at 5'4
    Current weight: 131 at 36w/1d
Total gain so far: 18lbs. -- expecting to gain roughly 1lb. a week until our baby girl is here! So, will probably end up at around a 22lb. total weight gain or so. Been trying to eat relatively healthy and exercising throughout the pregnancy (well, with the exception of this week, taking it easy due to hip flexor/groin pain), which has seemed to help keep the weight at a minimum and has kept me feeling pretty good throughout this journey!

July is an ugly month for us when it comes to eating right. July 4th is a big week of family time ended with a July 7th birthday for my mil. Then my dad's bday on the 13th and then mine on the 17th. I've slowed down the last few days and when my dad finally goes back home we won't be eating as often or out as much. I'm hoping to stay less than 180 (175 would be perfect) and I have 16 weeks to go. I also have been so tired for the last week I'm guessing John is growing like crazy. I fell asleep at the dinner table. Shame. I'm borderline narcoleptic lol.
