July is an ugly month for us when it comes to eating right. July 4th is a big week of family time ended with a July 7th birthday for my mil. Then my dad's bday on the 13th and then mine on the 17th. I've slowed down the last few days and when my dad finally goes back home we won't be eating as often or out as much. I'm hoping to stay less than 180 (175 would be perfect) and I have 16 weeks to go. I also have been so tired for the last week I'm guessing John is growing like crazy. I fell asleep at the dinner table. Shame. I'm borderline narcoleptic lol.

I hear ya girl, I went threw the same.thing last month. Lol things are finally slowing down and I have more.time to focus on my eating. I had my appointment today and gained 7lbs in the last 4 wks, those lbs came all in June and beginning of July. Ugh. Been maintaining for a bit, hopefully it stays slowed down from here on out

OK its been a while as I decided to stop tracking my (rapid) weight as it wasn't a concern of my midwife's as I'm still active and eating healthy but it was getting me down. Now the rate of gain has really slowed (only gained 600g/1.3lb in the last 3 weeks, not ideal for the 8th/9th month) so I have the opposite problem from before and have decided to track again.

    Pre pregnancy weight: 66kg

    Cumulative total
    Week 1-11: +0.8kg
    Week 12: +1.8kg
    Week 13: +1.6kg
    Week 14: +2.2kg
    Week 15: +2.9kg
    Week 16: +3.3kg
    Week 17: +3.5kg
    Week 18: +4.6kg
    Week 19: +3.9kg
    Week 20: +5.7kg
    Week 21: +6.6kg
    Week 22: +6.3kg
    Week 25: +10.2kg (3.9kg (8.6lb) gain in 3 weeks)
    Week 26: +10.1kg
    Week 27: +10.3kg
    Week 28: +11.3kg
    Week 29: +12.6kg (27.7lb)
    ....
    Week 33: +15.5 kg
    Week 36: +16.1kg (35.5lb)

    Pre-pregnancy weight: 145lbs (regular BMI)

    15 weeks: 160 (+15lbs)
    23 weeks: 175 (+30lbs)
    27 weeks 178.4 (+33.4)
    31 weeks 182.4 (+37.4)

Feeling really good these days! My gaining has slowed down a lot due to having less of an appetite and generally filling up on fruit or vegetables/dairy. (plus, since I'm not tracking, I don't feel the need to eat "extra calories". I just eat when I'm hungry.) I feel like I'm on track to gain 45lbs (or less) which has been typical of every pregnancy. Although, I'm only a half a pound away from what I delivered my 2nd at: 183lbs at 38+5 weeks. (I started that pregnancy 7 pounds lighter, though).
I have had zero time or energy for regular exercise, but have been doing all sorts of major nesting... heavy duty cleaning/reorganizing, which also must burn calories! lol Especially scrubbing the kitchen floor by hand! LOL Gotta love the nesting urges! ;)

    36 Weeks: 140.8 (+2)
    37 Weeks: 142.8 (+2)

Well not I know why my stretch marks are coming in like crazy- 4 pounds in 2 weeks!! I am ready for this baby to be out now so I can start losing and not get anymore marks  I haven't been eating any differently but I have been swelling a lot in my feet so I must be retaining water.

On a good note, the baby's room has a door and the closet door gets worked on tomorrow! I should be finished sanding down and repainting the changing table to match the crib this weekend(only 2 pieces left!). Today the flooring is going in and being finished in the room next to it so we can have our storage room back finally! Our house is an absolute mess with all of this renovation but things are looking up this coming week for cleanliness.

.......I think they call this nesting

Hi ladies, Just checking in!

Starting weight: 156 lbs 5'3" BMI Slightly overweight for height
Did not weigh myself the first 12 weeks

Week 13: 160.2 lbs (+4.2 lbs) right on track
    Week 17 1/2: 162.2 (+6.2 lbs) on track (At home scale 17JUN14)
Week 17 1/2: 161.4(+5.4 lbs) on track (Doctor office scale! 18JUN14)
Week 21 1/2: 166.2 lbs (+10.2 lbs) on track (at home scale 15JUL14)
Week 21 1/2: 168.2 lbs (+12.2 lbs) on track (at doctor office scale) 16JUL14
    Week 22 1/2 weeks: 165.4 lbs ( +9.4 lbs)(At home scale) 23JUL14

Dropped 0.8 lbs this week from previous home scale weigh-in , I'm thinking its probably from re-starting walking routine, but I am still within my appropiate weight gain.
Goal is to not gain more than 20 pounds so with 17 weeks left goal is about .5 lbs gain a week. I'm confident I can do that if I keep eating healthy and keep exercising to my abilities.

    Pre pregnancy weight was 129

At the end of my first trimester I was 132 and now i'm at 15 weeks and i'm 133.5

This is my first pregnancy and i'm concerned i'm not gaining enough weight! I am hungry in the mornings, so I usually eat a big breakfast and then I'll eat a semi big lunch and then I can't even think about putting food in my mouth at dinnertime. I feel like i've eaten a thanksgiving dinner all by myself and I haven't eating anything since lunch. I'm also really active ( not by choice ) at work. I'm constantly moving and walking from patient to patient so I rarely sit down.

Anyone have advice or tips? Why do I feel so full all the time??

    Thanks =)

Pregnancy slows down your digestive system so you'll feel fuller longer. Try eating mixed nuts at night instead of a meal since they're unlikely to make you feel more bloated or full but they'll provide healthy fat for you and your little one.

You doing great, weight gain isn't linear. If you look back 4 weeks you have only gained just under 4 pounds which is perfectly on track. Since your eating hasn't changed I wouldn't worry about what the scale says but I completely understand the dreaded stretch marks causing anxiety,

I'm.same.way. I eat a lot for breakfast and lunch and have small snack for dinner. I wouldn't worry about weight right now, you'll definitely catch up in few weeks. Lol I was only.at a 1lb gain unti 12wks, and 4 weeks later I packed on 8lbs out of nowhere. I too was starting weight 128. I'm almost 17wks now and weigh 136ish. I haven't been eating the healthiest lately, I plan to start tomorrow to watch myself again cause I'm feeling so sluggish from all the carbs. This is my 3rd kiddo. Feel free to add me

    Hello all!

    Pre pregnancy 109lbs 5'1"

    5 weeks 109 lbs
    13 weeks 114lbs

At 34 weeks I've gained just about 20lbs. I was just 10lbs under being overweight, so I wanted to stick to the lower end of the weight recommendation. Looks like I'm just about on track to do that. I've been on limited physical activity and have been all around exhausted this ENTIRE pregnancy, so I'm pretty happy with that.

    Week 26: 231.8 (+1.8)
    Week 28: 231.4 (-.4)

    Total: - 8.6 lbs from pre-pregnancy weight

Well, I'm a bit relieve that my weight quit climbing so quickly! In the last week, I actually made it up to 233! I think some of it was water weight (and still have a little swelling) and maybe a little due to constipation. I started eating high fiber cereal in the morning, and that has helped a lot. Now if only I can maintain this weight until my next appointment in 10 days, I can still stay on the 1 lb per week track! (although I would prefer it to be .5 per week, but it's better than 2 or 3!)

We put together the crib and decorated the nursery last night!! Having the room put together really is making things come into perspective...like being at 38 weeks. I can't believe baby will be here so soon but I am beginning to feel okay about that now that he/she will have a room. Now I just need to finish painting the changing table (the weather has been rainy lately), finish the window trim and get some curtains up and the room is officially done! Thank the heavens.....

It's normal to slow down in 3rd Tri. The bulk of your weight gain is in 2nd Tri and beginning of 3rd Tri as baby is growing. It slows down in 3rd Tri as baby is going to be adding some fat more than actually growing organs and height as quickly as the other trimesters. Make sense? :flowerforyou:

Week23 1/2 weeks: 164.0 (+8.0 lbs) Down 1.4 pounds? Has to be related to stress and working out more again recovering from injuries

Dropped 1.4 pounds lbs this week from previous home scale weigh-in , it has to be stress related!!! Between being over stressed at my job and dealing with injuries, and just found out husband laid off, dealing with financial issues and other personal issues I am at MAX stress level. Apparently its causing me to lose weight even when I am not trying to!!!
Its not what I want for this baby I don't know how to de-stress myself .
I wish I could take a "babymoon" or a mini-vacation before the baby gets here but just not a possibility!

Its not what I want for this baby I don't know how to de-stress myself .
I wish I could take a "babymoon" or a mini-vacation before the baby gets here but just not a possibility!

I hope your DH finds a job soon. Would creating a budget help you manage your stress? Making lists is always something that helps me deal with stress.

Anyone else have reduced rate of weight gain in their 3rd tri? I just get a bit worried baby isn't gaining enough but hopefully it's all baby gaining weight and not me because I've got plenty to spare at this point ;-) Trying to eat when hungry but this heartburn is such a pain in the a**

I'm in my third Tri and haven't really gained much either. My starting weight was 113lb at 5'4 height.
My weight gain has remained pretty consistent in the later portion of my 3rd tri:
    28 weeks: 128
    30 weeks: 129
    32 weeks: 128
    34 weeks: 130
    36 weeks: 129.6
    37w/2d (dr. appointment yesterday): 129.6

I was worried a little bit with my weight gain, and also the fact that my fundal measurement was measuring almost 2 weeks behind (which isn't really the best way to determine the growth of the baby). I had an ultrasound at 35w/4d and baby girl was weighing 5lb 3oz. I had another ultrasound yesterday at 37w/2d because the PA was a little concerned with my fundal height and wanted to see how the baby was growing. She's up to 6lb. 3oz - so gaining right on track with a .5lb gain per week, even though I haven't really gained, she's still gaining, which is good news! The rate she's going, she should weigh around 7lbs at 40 weeks, so that's right on track. So don't worry about not gaining during the last Tri - your baby should still be growing, even if you're not reflecting that on the scale.

Pre pregnancy weight at 4 weeks - 126
Current weight at almost 12- 127.2

This is pretty typical for my pregnancies! Kinda wondering when the weight will start coming on more ... with my first I packed it on super fast (1.5-2 lbs a week)and with my second I would go weeks without gaining and have a random growth spurt. (I ate a ton with my first baby and didn't exercise regularly, but I exercised 5x a week with my second and watched what I ate.) We shall see!

Prepregnancy weight: 125lbs and 5'5 tall

    1st Trimester: I finished out at 135
2nd Trimester: I just reached 6 months (24 weeks) and I'm weighing in at 141.8

( Yesterday I weighed in and had gained 5lbs in 4 days and almost cried. I weighed in at 146.8 at the exact same time as today; and today I weighed in at 141.8. Empty stomach both times. It was ALL water. Pregnancy is whacked)

    Hi Binky Muffin,
Yes I am also a major List maker and we definetly have a budget right now which is super tight!!! But this budget doesnt include the baby on the way and all those new expenses so huby basically has about 4 months to find something or not sure what what we are gonna do, but I just have to believe "When one door closes, another opens" and this may have been a blessing in disguise!
Thanks for taking the time to reply, sometimes helps to vent it out!

I'm sorry you're going through a tough time. I hope your hubby finds a great job soon!

Ouch. I know I'm retaining some water again, as my feet and hands are swollen. But I traveled the last couple days, so we ate out a lot and I'm also (tmi) a bit constipated. So hoping to see that number drop the next couple days. We shall see! My next OB appt is on Tue morning, so am going to try to drink plenty of water and eat clean until then or my OB might be concerned at the gain! I was 227.6 at my last appointment, so 7 lbs is a bit much in between....

Started previous pregnancies around 145 and ended up around 190. It wasn't that I intentionally let go but the inky time I didn't feel like throwing up was when I ate. My first pregnancy I ate healthy at 1800-2000 calories. Next one not as much and I didn't track. Not sure if it is related to eating healthier but it was a lot easier to lose the weight the first time. This time I'm starting heavier but not as sick.

    Week 4. 160 lbs
    Week 10 161 lbs

    1st pregnancy
    Height: 5'6
    Pre-pregnancy goal weight: 120
At home scale: reading 120 - 121 in February (unknowingly pregnant) but I don't know how much I trust that compared to those in the doctors' offices.
March 26 - 8 weeks, 2 days: appointment with primary doctor to confirm pregnancy, weight = 123.0
    April 14 - 11 weeks: 1st routine OB appointment, weight = 123.8
April 19 - 11 weeks, 4 days: 1st ultrasound, weight = 121.0 (she didn't use the same digital scale this time so I don't buy this weight...)
    May 19 - 16 weeks: 2nd routine appointment, weight = 124.7
    June 16 - 20 weeks: 2nd ultrasound, weight = 128 (home scale, right before appt, read 126.6)
June 23 - 21 weeks: 131 (Yikes, a 3 pound gain!! baby girl must have had a growth spurt this week!!)
July 14 - 24 weeks: 3rd routine appointment, weight = 132.1 (home scale, right before appt, read 131.4)
    July 30 - 26 weeks, 2 days: 133.2, home scale
August 4 - 27 weeks: 137.2, home scale - after calorie intake was done for the day. 5 pounds in 3 weeks seems reasonable but 4 of it was in the last week.

Routine appointment (last monthly one) is next Monday so I'll have an official weight then.

2/3 of the way there, hello 3rd trimester!!!! Total gain, roughly, 17 pounds.
