My winter coat that I bought 2 years ago got more snug as the winter went on and eventually I put it away. I took it out this past weekend and it fits like a glove!!! So glad I don't have to go buy another one. Shopping out of my closet is the best deal in town3

That's great. About a month ago I had to go through my closet and spent half the day just trying on clothes and checking sizes. I took two boxes full that were too big to goodwill and put all the rest in order of size so I can shrink down into them - too fun!3

Too funny
We all have the same tendencies to put clothes back into our closets that we don't fit into anymore thinking ....one day I'll get back into them.
Both of us have proved it can be done.2 -
I can walk/jog around the track 5 minutes faster then I use to.3

I pulled out my winter dress pants to wear today, and they are comfortable, even loose. They were purchased last winter (on-line), and quickly shoved into the back of the closet because they were so tight and uncomfortable!0

I can fit into the booth again when going to a restaurant.0

Wow guys, great!! I like your 5 min. cut on time around the track bm1409. I use to run and walk until a good year ago when I overdid it planting trees. Too much activity caused my back to hurt too bad. Soon I too will be timing myself. Prob. start with the treadmill, slow! Yesterday I tried on a pair of pants that fit 2 years ago and now fit again! Funny though, I decided I didn't want them anymore because I felt "too old " for them! I also have serious issues with bloating, to the point of looking and feeling about to give birth after eating. This has greatly improved!0

I really love these! Heart2Health I'm going to check on my old winter coat today, it would be lovely not to need to buy a new one! (I was just on the Columbia site, and got sticker shock!)

These stories really give me hope. My work pants are (can't say were yet) so tight I felt sick. I only have to "dress" for work once a month normally as I work from home 3 out of 4 weeks. I'll be back in my office on Tuesday.... that will be my first test for clothes to hopefully fit a bit better. Only been a week, but my fingers are still crossed!1

My daughter bought me some "fit into" jeans last Christmas that has been hanging in my closet, waiting for me to fit into. Today I pulled them out and I can actually fit into them. I have to admit they dont look great ( can see bulges here and there), but Im hoping by this Christmas they look good enough to wear. I think I may hang them in the kitchen to be a constant reminder of things to come.3

Kcd2961: what a result0

I can never wear these pants again without a belt. I just had to hold them up on my way to a meeting, annoying, but in a good way!1

Ha ha , how funny. That happened to me once when I was running late for work, my skirt was falling down. But I was young & slim then. I can't wait for that to happen again. Enjoy shopping for new pants0

Is it the usual holiday blues or what? I did great "considering" at Thanksgiving but then "gave it up" on Saturday for "just one day." Well, now I want to find that motivation I had when I started. One NSV is that I had tremendous bloating this past weekend that def. confirms that I am one of those people who can't tolerate carbs and NEED to learn this for life. It is a NSV because it is an affirmation that I am on the right track. Yest. at work however, I allowed a half a piece of chocolate chip cookie sheet cake because "it's our student nurses last day for the semester!" Did NOT need that !! But someone I never see DID ask me if I was losing weight so that was encouraging!
OK, I'm blabbing but thanks for listening!!0 -
I put my wallet and cellphone in my pants pockets yesterday and they almost fell off - Had to put my belt on and discovered that I'm now on the last hole. - now dropped 6" off my waist - WooHoo!1

Catongirl : it's interesting what u were saying about carbs, I sometimes get the same feeling. I'm going to try & give carbs a rest & see what happens, u must have felt great when someone commented on u losing weight. Now that would have made my day.
BRaye325;
Looks like u will be shopping for new pants the same as Bibliocephalus. What a great result for u both. Congratulations.
I bought a dress yesterday a size smaller as an incentive
Hoping it won't be long before it fits me.0 -
Went to Olive Garden last night! What a nice treat!! Had salad, no breadsticks, minestrone soup , chicken gnocchi soup, AND had my best day yesterday! Went over my carb limit a little but MUCH better than usual!!0
-
Olive Garden sounds lovely0

Way to go Braye!
Busybee: a new dress is a great incentive!
CatonGirl: Olive Garden with no breadsticks? Now that is an accomplishment, nice work!0 -
I keep looking at the dress
I will try it on in a weeks time & report on progress0
