Everyone is busy! Enjoy some relaxation Ang. You will get a new job and be very busy soon. Take time to some things you like while you can. A good cleaning of your place will make you feel good too. I've done body pump before. It's a very good workout. My neighbor teaches it at her fitness center. I've seen her slim down and her body is very strong and toned.

Shirley- When is the baby due again? What kind of house did they buy? Baby clothes are so fun to look at and sort. Nice that Kathy has clothes for that many ages. They grow out of them so fast so one hates to spend too much on clothes. Hand me downs are wonderful! We are going to Panama City Beach, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico (panhandle of Florida near Destin).

Marla- Will Zach have to skip his game or recital? That's a difficult decision. Hope the schedule works out and he can do it all. Loving this mild winter, just need more sunshine!

I had 5 appointments with kids today so was never in the office. This whole week I will be running day and night to get things done. I have paperwork to get done and haven't tackled it yet. Bad!

Well I need to shower since I got my hair cut. I don't want loose hairs on my pillow, yuk!

    Have a nice sleep!

Checking in before this day gets too crazy busy.

Sounds like you had a really nice weekend, Shirley, despite the weather.

Marla, hope you got some answers from your doc. Two more games for us (then playoffs). I'm kind of sad thinking I will be in these gyms only ONE more time. My guy will be a senior next year. Embrace the freshman year! It will go by so fast!

Jenny, how are you feeling? Hope you're marking things off of your to do list. The waves are calling. A Krewe is an organized group that puts on balls and parades for Mardi Gras. I guess it's like an adult version of a co-ed fraternity/sorority.

Good for you to get to the gym, Ang. I'd be inclined to laze around my first few days from work.

Amy, I laughed when I read your fb post about fixing dinner and cleaning the kitchen like a regular housewife. Did your husband get his pie? Mine would have gotten a swift kick :D

I tried attaching Ball pics from the last two weekends but they did not load. It may be restrictions from my work computer. If I can think about logging in at home I'll try again. This past weekend's festivities were so much fun. The band was GREAT! They played 70's to today with a mix of country and rock. They even threw in a few jitterbugs. I don't know that anyone left the dance floor other than to hydrate.

Gotta get busy at work. Have a great day.

so - not really any 'answers' - but he gave me some samples of something vesicare (I have seen a commercial for it) - who knows - so far all I am feeling is dry mouth - not really any less urgent - it appears to maybe be a side effect from my buproprion which I take for anxiety - so that blows - I have been on the bup for a couple of years now and was really pleased with how it worked - but I will probably have to consider getting off of it - I don't think this vesicare is going to do it - and I really am having a hard time imagining spending the next 20 years going to the bathroom 20 times a day. Boo. All around. Boo.

Mid-quarters and another fight with Thing 1.

    Today's mood - unhappy!

Shirley - sounds like a fun time with your girls - it will be baby time so soon!!

Marla - Are you seeing a Urologist or just a general practitioner? I think a specialist is in order for you so you can get down to the problem. It's not normal to have to hunt a bathroom every hour. Good luck! Cheer up things have got to get better soon.
    -
Well all is good after the colonoscopy, all clear and no polyps. Good for another 10 years.
It was like an assembly line. Everyone on their side being wheeled in and you know what they were having done. :p I actually felt a little uncomfortable this time, I was still out but could feel something was going on. Last time I didn't remember anything. Different doctors and I guess different ways of doing things.

I am a little dozy yet but getting better by the hour. No driving for 24 hours. I have choir
practice tonight and I have to pick up a CD of all our songs so we can practice at home.
I think I will get Dave to drive me and I will just pick up my stuff and song sheets that I am missing and go home.

L - Its pretty easy to load pictures on here. Just click on the Paper with the corner turned down and then read the rest of the instructions. If I can do it anyone can.

Well the snow started falling today. It's pretty to see but I could have done without the ba roads. First small ice chunks fell and coated cars and roads, then it turned to snow. I had 3 home visit appointments today so I drove like the older person I am and went slow so I did not spin out. Glad to be home but have to pick the dogs up at the groomers soon. Baths and brushing before going to the dog sitter on Thursday.

Well my to do list only has a couple of things left on it that had to be taken care of so we could travel. Now I need to finish laundry tonight, pack tomorrow night, clean on Thursday eve (like to come home to clean house), and organize my trip info, emergency info for boys, pick up rental car and get dogs to sitter.

L- It sounds like you have a great time planning and partying :)
Marla- I hope you feel better soon. I agree with Shirley, see a specialist. It's what they see and do all day long every day.

Shirley- Yay! Not for another 10 years!

I survived my first class! I had the lightest possible weights on the barbell that I could. The hardest was when we were doing chest. The rest wasn't that bad. At one point we did pushups (from our knees) My arms were shaking as we were doing them! Most of all the moves I recognized and knew from doing JM. My legs are still aching somewhat as it's been awhile since I've done squats and lunges. My arms actually really aren't aching at all. It's my core that is the worse. I am feeling it when I stand or sit. I feel it when I cough. :( There was a girl there that came up beside me and helped me through the class. It was really nice. I thought I wouldn't be able to do it for an hour, but the hour actually went really fast. Afterwards, this one older guy in the class (also the only guy in the class) came up to me and told me I did better on my first day then he did on his first day! I do plan on going back, I just won't be able to until next week. I was told not to come back tomorrow, but to wait 24 hours. I can't go Thursday, as my job is keeping me on as "casual" and I will be going in Thursday to work.

Right now I have plans to go away for Friday and Saturday to a singles retreat. However, there is a storm coming on Friday where we could get 20+cm of snow. (That's about 8 inches or more). Then ANOTHER 10-15 cm on Sunday! Sigh. In the space of less then a month, we've gotten over 120cm of snow! That's over 3ft6in of snow! Now grant it, we currently have no where near that much on the ground (thanks to the rain we keep getting between all the snow) but enough it enough!!! This winter started off so mild, but it has certainly changed!

Shirley - Glad to hear it went well! Enjoy your choir practice. At church we've started practicing for the Easter program. It's the same one we did a few years ago so I recognize all the songs (Plus I have the CD at home and listen to it on a regular basis!)

Jenny - Stay safe driving in the snow! And if what you are getting is what we are getting in a couple of days, can you please direct it elsewhere? We have more then enough!!!

Marla - Hope you find answers soon!

L - Hope you can post the pictures. It will be nice to see them.

I downloaded a book called something like "Praying for our sons" trying to help me find some peace - I am enjoying it and hope it will help me stay focused and grounded during all these exasperating times that just come with being a mom. Since parochial school has been part of their lives forever I don't know why I find it so awkward to pray with them them but my goal is to work on getting over that and start trying pray with/over them.

Shirley - glad your scopy went well - I can't say I have any longing for the day when I have to do that one. Ick (not that procedure -but the prep - ick)

Ang - hope the snow holds off for you and you can go and enjoy your retreat - it sure has been a big snow year for you it seems!

    Jenny - vacay! vacay!!

    Hey Amy and L!!

One more day of work! I have some paperwork I should be doing right now. Better get to it in a minute. I also should be packing my suitcase but I paid bills and finished laundry when I got home. I need a break. I go to work a little later tomorrow so I'm going to put my clothes in my suitcase in the morning. I'll finish tomorrow eve before bed.

Very cold today but not snowing. We saw the sun so that is always a day brightener both literally and mentally.

Marla- I have begun praying more often to myself about the kids, their decisions, our health, etc. It gives me peace. You're a great mom from what I can tell so enjoy the positive moments and let them energize you for those frustrating years with teens.

Ang- I hope you get to go on your retreat. Snow, snow go away come again another day!

The retreat has been postponed. With the weather coming it was the best decision to make. We will have now either in March or April. The thing about waiting to have it, is that at least it will be warmer!

My muscles are still aching today. My legs are feeling somewhat better (provided I avoid steps or steep hills) but I'm still feeling my core anytime I turn. Not really fun.

I've been a bad girl today. I've been "snacking" all day. :( Hence why I'm not bothering to record what I ate today. I know I am way over.

Marla - Feel better and tell your hubby to sneeze the other way!

Jenny - A nice break for you and your husband. Have fun and be safe.

Ang - Sorry your retreat was cancelled. Better to be safe than stuck somewhere.
    Hi L and Amy!

Today was getting some exercise in with weights. I did the whole program of 45 min instead of the short version of 25 min. Actually I liked it better.
I also had 40 squats to do for my challenge but there were so many squats and lunges in the weight DVD that i used that for my challenge today and it was over 40.

I have started packing some sunscreens, first aid things and bath/shower so far. My suitcase is upstairs now. Now for the clothes. Packing is not my favorite thing to do. I take everything but the kitchen sink. I also take extra hangers. I vowed I was going light this time but it doesn't look like it.

Have a good evening everyone !

I told myself I would go to the gym today. I woke up discouraged about not going to work after all and couldn't make myself go. I then made cookies. I ate a few to many. :( I was making to give most of them to a friend who is moving away. I should have given him more!

The To Do list is complete, the dogs are at the sitter and the house is cleaner than it was. We are beat! Very cold here so it will be nice to head south. 60 will feel like 80 to us.

Shirley- you look fantastic in your new photo! I don't like to pack either. I'm the list maker and think of everything we might need. I also pack way too much but would rather have choices than be stuck with one outfit that isn't appropriate. I like to pack for layers and weather changes.

Marla- I use to get a sore butt sitting in bleachers all the time. I called it bleacher butt syndrome. Usually I forgot to take my stadium pillow so it was my fault. Sorry your sick, feel better soon.

Ang- You are all very wise to cancel if weather is going to be bad. Must have been a hard decision since retreats are so much fun. Warm weather when you go later will be a blessing.

    Hi Amy and L!

Well I need to give the cat monster some food so he doesn't starve overnight (sarcasm) and then get in bed. We are leaving at 5am to get through Minneapolis before rush hour starts. We live in the north suburbs and need to get to the southern suburbs and drive towards Iowa. I'll be checking in at some point. I'm sure Russ is taking his computer. I'm not...

Have a wonderful weekend and week.

Jenny Enjoy your trip away and let us know how you are doing away. Are you tracking your food? If not, just keep in mind what you are eating and try to stay on track as much as possible. I will do the same when I go away. It is hard, but I didn't gain much last year at the resort so I will try again.

Just got back from Yoga class and came home to finish off my coffee. I usually don't drink coffee before I leave I want to stay calm. The thing I have been doing lately is drinking hot water and lemon first thing in the morning before your breakfast or coffee. It is a daily cleanse of the body. It helps the digestive tract and an overall good thing to do. If you google it, it gives at least 16 reasons why you should do it.

I am going to have lunch before getting groceries today. Not much to buy since we are leaving next Saturday. The temperatures there are anywhere from 81 to 85 everyday.
It will be a shock to the system after this cold weather.

It is 6F right now and a high of 10. Tomorrow will be much colder.

Ang[/b] It sounds like you are having a hard time relaxing since you quit your job.
Have you heard any news on the government job yet? Baking cookies is a boredom thing to do. Maybe get into some of your crafts while you are off or get into a project that you
have wanted to do but couldn't.

A sun shiny day today but extremely cold. The snow crunches under your feet.

I'm winding down this very odd week. I can't exactly put my finger on it, but "odd" sums it up. While I was walking last Sunday, a young lady backing out of her drive stopped me to ask if I wanted an exercise partner. Anyone who really knows me knows I wanted to run away as fast as I could, but as usual I said, "sure!" We got together Tuesday and walked and we both had an excuse for yesterday. We are supposed to try to get together this evening, but I just don't wanna go with with someone. I know I'm terrible for feeling that way. I'm just horrible at small talk for one and I don't like working out with others.

Our agency held our own Mardi Gras Parade today through the parking lot. Departments decorated carts, wagons, golf carts, anything with wheels. My department rode stick horses and did an old fashioned Mardi Gras Run (like Mamou, Amy). It was a lot of fun! If you get a chance, read up on Mamou's Mardi Gras' so you get a sense of what I'm talking about.

I'm so envious, Jenny and Shirley, of your vacations. I NEED sand between my toes. Safe travels Jenny!

Ang, I like Shirley's idea of crafting while you're not working. Take advantage of all of the things you thought you could be doing if not at work. While I was off for recovery, my list looked like: cleaning the oven, cleaning the closets, painting base boards, etc. I did get to knock some things out though.

Marla, I hope you get to feeling better soon. Enjoy those games if you can.

I haven't had much of an appetite in a couple of months, but I am craving a nice dinner out. You know, the ones with linens and a bread plate. My weekend is full of activity, but I will have that dinner out next week! I hit the road for three weeks of travel for work.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

More snow today, temp is 22F, tomorrow -4F and Sunday -1.
Just finished shoveling and Dave snow blowing again, I cleaned off his car and he cleaned off my car. LOL

Getting some more clothes together this weekend and trying to think what to pack.

We were going to rent a movie at Red Box but found our they have taken all red boxes
out of Canada. Just like Target, what is happening? So there is actually rentals at the
convenience store and a nice dinner at home. Our original plans was eating out and a movie at the theatre. The roads are bad and the winds are going to kick up this afternoon.

    Safe weekend everyone.

I am ready for tomorrows storm. We can now possibly get up to 50cm of snow! That's over a foot and a half of snow!!! There's all ready a pile of cancellations for tomorrow. Including the transit system! THAT is certainly a surprise! They almost never pull buses off the roads. In the eight years I've been living in the city, it's happened once! (last year). Although they haven't officially said anything yet, I"m pretty sure our services will be cancelled. I hate to see services cancelled but for the safety of everyone it will be for the best. We can also get near hurricane force winds. I just cooked up some chicken. That's something that can be eaten cold, just in case.

Here is yesterday's clean up from the storm. My car is tucked in the garage.
Today it is -7 F but sunny.

Tonight is dinner out at a German restaurant and a hockey game with friends.
I will have to bundle up.

We made it in two days of driving. Russ and I are so busy at home that we don't always connect and really talk to one another. We talk all day on our jobs and at night we tend to enjoy relaxation and solitary activities at times. We do most of our talking in the car so it was nice to connect over the two days.

The condo is wonderful! Beach décor, clean as a whistle, and the balcony is to die for as it faces the Gulf. The waves are crashing, the sun is very hot even though it is low 60's, and we both got some color for the short time we walked the beach around noon. It will be hard to go home after the R & R down here.

Not very crowded since it is not peak season/weather. Everyone we pass is very friendly but don't sound like northerners like us. We can tell by that southern accent. I'm sure we sound different too.

I didn't bring sun screen since I figured I could buy down here. Definitely need it before I take another walk or sit on the balcony. One of the pools and hot tubs are heated so people are using them. I wonder if the people that are here will be gone by tomorrow and are just here for a 3 day weekend? Several snowbirds that are brown as leather. Must spend a few months down here and walk the beach every day.

Shirley, that is a lot of snow. Ang, you must have similar pictures. When we left MN we didn't have snow but it was frigid.

L- I always liked having an exercise/walking partner for accountability. I don't have that now. I don't think a complete stranger would be my choice unless you found you had a lot in common fairly quickly.

Well just checking in. Things to do, places to go. I'll check in again soon.

    More fun in the sun!

So , I had to bring this dang laptop in because every time I turned it on it would turn off in about 3 minutes . Ha it was the plug itself that wasn't working . I thought the laptop was broken again. So new cord, all fixed . I was so happy .

I've been working while I am off so I feel like I am too busy . I also had Jury duty all last week so had to call every evening at 5 and if no jury duty then call work and let them know I am available . I hated that . I like to know what I am actually doing, I hated last minute knowing .If that makes sense ?

I also had my Grand babies on Friday whice I love and I had one on Saturday . I already had the day planned to go to the museum with my good friend and so we took her little boy and my grand baby to the childrens part and My Daughter actually came with us . It was a great day . Children are so much fun at 1and 2 ! you can see their mind turn when they see something new. My daughter was great with that part of the experience - she made big bubbles and showed them everything . I also had a beautiful strawberry /chocolate bouquet delivered to my daughter and my husband yesterday afternoon . My daughter loved here/my husband - eh? he almost gave them to our neices and nephews ( that I babysat last night ) I almostlost my mind taht he almost gave them to the kids , I spent 45 dollarson them and now I feel bad hat I didn't let him share them but I felt like they didn't matter to him ? Maybe i WAS JUST SENSITIVE . He didn't give them because he saw my face .

I received flowers and a book caleed Atchafalaya Houseboat . By Gwen Roland - we saw the doccumentary recenltyand he bought me the book . I thought it was sweet - he has never actually gotten me a valentines gift before .

Jenny , I'm envious of your trip to the beach and really looking forward to retirement myself ! Hahaha I have a few years to go but I think about it all teh time.

Marla , I hope you do find a specialist soon alsobecause it's just so terrible to suffer through that for any amt of time.

Shirley , So weird that you and Anj, are getting all the snow and we are begging for it here so that we can do normal winter activities- cross country skiing and down hill skiing.

the weather is relatively mild here in Anchorage but on the slope it's still freezing !

L . Ha ! I am familure with the Mamou MardiGras hahaha ! Sounds amazing ! you guys seem like a hoot !

Anj, I too have been eating too many sweets . I don't understand whats happening with me but I hope I can get my mojo back and start exercising too !

Well everyone have a great day ! I'm going to a movietoday and all I can think about is popcorn and candy - sigh .
