    8 miles running today. A first for me, I almost got hit with a golf ball while running :o
    I'm increasing my goal to 100 miles running for this month.

    Kristine - I know it's hard, but you need to give that thing a rest and give it time to heal.

    Dean - I took your counsel and stayed off the bike yesterday. Since I didn't trust myself to honor that decision, I didn't even take gym clothes and just stood/sat in front of my class, teaching in street clothes. Unfortunately, the standing for that length of time also hurt (and was awkward). So... I went back to gentle pedaling today and went 14 miles.

    I will foam roller it (again) tonight and keep taking my Aleve. If it's not better by Monday, I'm going to go to a chiropractor and/or acupuncturist... and if that doesn't help, I'll go to my PCP for some medication (pain killers and/or muscle relaxers) 'cause this is just ridiculous.

    Sounds like a good call. Sorry you're struggling through that. It's tough when you're laid up. You have my sympathies. Here's to a speedier recovery. :drinker:

    I'm back! I wasn't feeling well for a couple of days so I took it easy. But I just read through all the posts I missed and I'm glad I did because I would have missed Dave's big announcement about the January numbers! I was wondering what that teaser was all about - thanks for posting!

    As for me, I didn't mess around and started back in with a 17 mile long run. It's "cold" here in Florida, like the high was only in the 60's. There I was in my running shorts and short sleeve technical shirt and - no joke - a woman rides by in a parka and asks "aren't you cold?" LOL The truth is I was relishing what I consider ideal running conditions!

    Well got to ride in a cold fog bank. But I can't complain, its better than getting stuck in the house due to stormy weather. Cold and foggy is kinda bad for my arthritis though.
