    Good Morning everyone, Happy April

    Goals for April with the nicer weather coming I am hoping to get outside walking with my girls a little bit more so I think I will increase my goals to ***115*** I am going to try for the 30 day challenge

    I figure 30 - 7 rest days = 21 days x 5 miles = 115 miles

    April 1-4 * 21 miles* using the 4 Mile Power walk and parts of the 3 Mile Mega walk. Friday and Saturday are the only days that I made the 10,000 step goal as I had just decided on Friday that I would do this challenge
    April 5-11 *
    April 12-18 *
    April 19-25 *
    April 26-30 *

    Total so far this month is 21 /115 miles.

    Saturday (April 4th) 3+ hours of yard work today

    0 DVD miles.

    0 outdoor minutes.

    180 minutes "other" kinds of exercise, including strength. (today it was yard work)

    April goal: at least 2-3 miles or 30-45 minutes outdoors 5-6 days a week. Or else some other form of exercise including focusing on strength.

    So far: 2 Leslie/ or other walking DVD miles

    So far: 0 outdoor minutes (in the neighborhood or in a park)

    So far: 480 minutes "other" forms of exercise, including strength, spring time yard & garden work.

    We are blessed because we can walk <3 .

    Just joining today.. It's raining here in Dallas today on this awesome Resurrection Sunday, so I'll be doing one of Leslie's dvd's today..

    Because my job keeps me in the basement (literally) I like to walk outside. My basement renovation is almost finished then I will have the option of walking with Leslie.

    April - 120 miles - 20 days over 10,000 steps

    April 1 - 2.6 miles
    April 2 - 5 miles - 11104 steps (1/20)
    April 3 - 5.2 miles - 11410 steps (2/20)
    April 4 - 4.5 miles - 10055 steps (3/20)

    Total 17.3 miles

    4/1-Vivofit Tracked-1.2 miles
    4/2-Vivofit Tracked -3.2 miles=4.4 total miles
    4/3-Vivofit Tracked 1.8 miles=6.2 total miles
    4/4-Vivofit Tracked .9 miles :grumble:=7.1 total miles

    4/5 worked outside in garden 1/2 hour/Easter not feeling good today either cold or allergy
    4/3 LS 30 min fast burn = 2 miles
    4/2 LS dance party with HIT 40 min or 3 miles followed by LS firm 30 min or 2 miles my first total = 5miles
    4/1 walked about 1/4 mile outside in evening but I was too cold to continue went home.

    First day of Couch to 5K I think I pulled a muscle in my leg (Ouch) so I have been babying it a little bit after the run this morning and not pushing the other walks but doing them any way.

    I was able to get out to the park with the girls today the temperature said 6 but with the windchill it was more like -1. I am so looking forward to warmer weather.

    Somehow I've missed checking in here .... Anyway - I'm doing Leslie's April Challenge of 10,000 a day and so far so good. On one of her DVDs (can't recall which one) she comments that we never regret having gotten up and exercised, but often regret not exercising. That's motivated me to do what it takes to get the steps in every day, morning and after work. It's working so far:

    In reference to the question about the Kettlebell Workout. I have done some videos that I found on you tube and really enjoyed it. It was a beginners workout and wasn't too tough but tough enough for a really good calorie burn. But the DVD that I purchased OMG, I don't think I will ever have that kind of strength. Gonna try it again today.
