I have updated the GOAL STREAK numbers. Any questions, let me know!

I got a nice long 3.8 mile lunch walk in over very hilly terrain and I survived it surprisingly well! My max heartrate during wasn't too high and it didn't take very long for it to recover after I was finished! :drinker:

@anaconda469 No quitting! We won't let you. You're stronger than the events you went through.

@vhuber I don't have a panic disorder, but I've done both hypnotherapy and acupuncture for stress relief and found both very helpful. Maybe that's something to look into. Some insurance companies either pay for it, or let you use a Flex Spending account as well. And it's not a drug, but I've found lemon balm helpful for mild anxiety. I take capsules, you can drink it as a tea, but I don't like tea, I do grow the plant outside though.

@dave yay! Glad you're doing better.

    15.5 miles today - 12 in my 2nd spin class, and 3.5 run/walk.

Well I did it today. Took a short and sweet bike ride. And I mean short. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Cars passing me gave me the sideways look as I am still black and blue, well actually more yellow. I loved the pedestrians looks the best! I was laughing all the way. I've got some side streets I am going on tomorrow, low trafficked. School lets out tomorrow so I can ride all over the high school grounds which is huge. We have no trails here, have to load and go at least 20 miles. Well enough blab......

    06/08 - 2.0 miles easy walking
    06/09 - 2.0 miles easy walking
    06/10 - 1.0 miles easy walking
06/10 - 3.0 miles very easy cycling (around the block)

    Total: 50.0 miles

Yay our lame, injured & sick are back and moving!!! Good job!!!
I also want to say THANK YOU to those that have shared advice, options, encouragement & empathy about dealing with panic disorder. He has been struggling with this off & on for about 3 years so needless to say I have had NO life but to help him stay somewhat calm. Your words have meant a lot to me--THANK YOU!

It was a cool evening with a breeze so I tried to get him to go walk with me but nooooo so my furries were happy to oblige! We did 3 miles.

@vhuber:Sorry to hear about your hubby's issues of panic attacks I deal with lots of children with Autism, emotional issues or are on the spectrum. Often they are unable to express what they are feeling and have panic attacks or emotional outbreaks. We often need to help to identify their triggers and work to desensitize them or express what they are feeling when it occurs. Meds do help and so does counseling.

I more day of school and I am free for a few weeks. I am mentally and physically spent. Working 12 hour days, packing up my classroom and running field day all afternoon has me pretty tuckered out.

    June 9: 9.28 miles walking
June 10: 10.55 miles walking and running

    TTD: 100.6 miles

@Cleplant - Look at you creeping up on 8000 miles! Nice going. @Lovemyalex is getting in more miles with one leg than I am with two. :frowning: I'm going to blame my coach for making this a rest month after I already set a goal of 400 miles. @Chris - You are really wracking up miles since you retired. I don't know if that qualifies as retiring or just changing careers.@Susan - It's good to see you back on the bike. It will take awhile but you'll get back to where you were. It took me almost three weeks after my injury but coach pointed out that I'm producing almost the same power numbers I was before the injury so it takes time but it comes back.

@VHUBER - That must be difficult for both of you. My heart goes out to both of you as well. While I have no real personal experience with it, my suggestion would have been to get him to do what it sounds like you tried to do tonight....get him exercising some every day. Walking or whatever else he might enjoy. As you know, sweating can be extremely therapeutic.

Dean -- my DH has wanted to walk almost every day since we gave our notice. I pick up the pup and off we go. It's been pretty nice so far. This morning, however, I went out by myself and got sprinkled on. It really started to rain after I got home. It wasn't cold, and the wind was mild. It was great to see!! And, if this just a rest month for you, then I suspect you'll be back at it next month with no problem! Right? ;)

    Wed - 6.91 miles

The weather today took a huge jump in temperature to 90F. And it is expected to be hotter tomorrow. Yuck,

Time for me to head off to bed (I've been staring at the screen for the last 5 minutes trying to remember what I was doing) I am so grateful we are all doing what we can to help and encourage each other. I do feel very lucky to have found this group. Thank you Everyone!
