Dean -- my DH has wanted to walk almost every day since we gave our notice. I pick up the pup and off we go. It's been pretty nice so far. This morning, however, I went out by myself and got sprinkled on. It really started to rain after I got home. It wasn't cold, and the wind was mild. It was great to see!! And, if this just a rest month for you, then I suspect you'll be back at it next month with no problem! Right?
Wed - 6.91 miles
Hope everyone has a grand Thursday.
Chris

Added 4.25 miles for a June total of 42.25 miles.
The weather today took a huge jump in temperature to 90F. And it is expected to be hotter tomorrow. Yuck,
Time for me to head off to bed (I've been staring at the screen for the last 5 minutes trying to remember what I was doing) I am so grateful we are all doing what we can to help and encourage each other. I do feel very lucky to have found this group. Thank you Everyone!0 -

I'm going to blame my coach for making this a rest month after I already set a goal of 400 miles. @Chris - You are really wracking up miles since you retired. I don't know if that qualifies as retiring or just changing careers. @Susan - It's good to see you back on the bike. It will take awhile but you'll get back to where you were. It took me almost three weeks after my injury but coach pointed out that I'm producing almost the same power numbers I was before the injury so it takes time but it comes back.
It is all about... " no more excuses" ... And trying to get to goal sooner so I can give much needed miles to Anaconda469... ... Also working hard on my strength ... Before surgery....0 -

@VHUBER - That must be difficult for both of you. My heart goes out to both of you as well. While I have no real personal experience with it, my suggestion would have been to get him to do what it sounds like you tried to do tonight....get him exercising some every day. Walking or whatever else he might enjoy. As you know, sweating can be extremely therapeutic.
