@kar328: Love the shirt. I remind myself that my time is going to get slower the hotter it becomes and the higher the humidity.
I am now rising at 5am to get out and beat the heat but starting the day at 70 degrees is still a bit hot.

Thanks. What I also like is that it was too small when I first got it. Now it's kind of loose. I went out at 9A. It was supposed to be in the 70s but it was mid-upper 80s. And the humidity was already there. I may have to try earlier. I usually get out of bed at 7 when I'm not working, but it takes a while to get moving. I do see a lot of people out at that time when I'm driving home from work.

The good news, Doctor cleared me for all bike riding with the caveat of I don't go down again (like I do this everyday), the serious contusions are not healing as fast, and my mid back, and neck is still stiff and sore. Got out for an easy spin. Boy am I slow compared to where I was last month. Ride like a slug on Valiums. But managed over 50 mins before everything started to hurt. Riding over a bumpy road still give me a headache and after a point my back and neck muscles start to tighten up. Boy I will be real glad when this crap is over. I just noticed I am over 5000 miles, that was my biggie, and I just forgot about it.

    06/08 - 2.0 miles easy walking
    06/09 - 2.0 miles easy walking
    06/10 - 1.0 miles easy walking
    06/10 - 3.0 miles very easy cycling
    06/11 - 2.0 miles walking
    06/12 - 7.0 miles easy cycling
    06/13 - 10.0 miles slow cycling

    Total: 69.0 miles

Sooo glad you received permission to get back in the saddle anaconda469! You will become less sore the more you move but I still suggest you go see a chiropractor. I am serious when I say I could not survive without mine. I have degeneration going on & plus I went through the windshield of a vehicle when I was young so my back is ALWAYS in pain & easily moves out of alignment. Age has not been my friend either! Take it easy, it will all come back!

I was TIRED today from not sleeping well from all the stress, cleaning for my bachelor friend for 4 hours, washing the outside of my vehicle that I only walked 2 with my furry kids! Should have done more but I am flat out exhausted! Tomorrow I have to get ready for a trip to the city for a 3 day workshop. Leave Monday morning & get home Thursday night. Still not sure what to do about my DH. He's already stressing!!! He will either have to go with or I am sooooo hoping my son will come out & stay with him.

    @ Kar328 - love your shirt!

@ lovemyalex - I agree it is inspiring. When is your surgery again?

@ vhuber - love the dog stories!

It's too hot here to run so I've been biking. Going north next week. I'm up to 56 miles between yesterday and today. Won't get any miles in when we're traveling (we're driving with the dogs) so I need to get some in the bank. Hope you all have a great weekend. Now get moving!
June 24th .... Having total knee replacement :)
