Happy Christmas Eve to one and all, not sure when anyone will see this post but since I had a moment between tasks thought I would stop by. The ham is slow roasting, the deviled egg filling is made, need to sauté my veggies and put together the chorizo stuffing. That ends my cooking for the meal tonight. Next I need to cook up some bacon and make the broccoli salad for tomorrow and prep the veggies for tomorrow's meal. My heart and life are full to overflowing!
Karla, so happy to see you here once again and thank you for your beautiful words. I know everyone will covet the throws you made, mostly because of all the love that was sewn into each one.
Sending you all my love for the season and beyond"

Merry Christmas to you and yours. Doubt I will check in tomorrow but you will all be in my heart, my thoughts and my many prayers of thanks.
Very long, tiring, GOOD day. Drove about 475 miles, spent afternoon with dear friends, including four adorable kids, and the evening with my best friend and one of her sisters. Watched the last half of "White Christmas" too. Tomorrow, breakfast at her daughter's, then up to my brother's in MI.
Love to all! May the Christmas spirit infuse your whole weekend.0 -
Sorry missed out on this round, and plans to start a new round/challenge?0

Good Morning, Ladies. Today is a new day! I made French Toast this morning for Mike and me, and then I'm hoping to stay away from sugary food. I'm going to take down indoor decorations today, but will leave the outside ones up for a few days. Family Christmas celebrations are over for another year. I loved spending time with them. Have a great weekend.0

Happy Day after Christmas. Hope you all enjoyed your festivities, family and friends. I know I did. It was a year that exceeded my expectations and was filled with love, family and friendship.
Jay, we are planning to start new challenges after the New Year, so please find us again. Our way of doing things is to have a group challenge and individual mini challenges and report back on our progress. We are a chatty bunch and would love to have you join us.
We are headed to the cabin and staying thru the New Year but I will stay in touch. Let's all put our thinking caps on and come up with our New Improved Board of Challenges to get us back in the groove and on our way to healthier and skinnier New Year.

Good morning, barely. So glad to hear of everyone's great family fellowships. We had a great day yesterday also at my son's . I started with a cough and sore throat last evening, but seems to be subsiding. Glenn and I are just hanging out watching movies. So far we have watched The Kingsman The Idential and The Gambler. All very good. Time for a chick flick though now, or some more NCIS. I've even watched an episode of House.
Janet - I know your heart is full and your body tired. Do you head home today?
Patti- it warms all my emotions that your daughter came forward for Cristmas. I saw her comment on FB and she really appreciates you and feels your love.
Cindy- it was nice getting your text yesterday. I hope you are enjoying some down time today.
Judy told me on FB she doesn't like the message boards on here. Maybe if we make our own group it will be better. Just don't know if you can.
I'm looking for a structured diet for myself. I was tracking and counting points, but slow or no losing. Same with calorie counting. I'm going to do some research today.
Please continue to enjoy this wonderful time of year. Glenn and I are both wanting to lose weight, so I need to find something he will do well on.
Back later or tomorrow.

Hi Ladies- Happy Boxing Day!
I have scrubbed the stove today and made breakfast- other than surfing the internet not much else but I did do 20 minutes on my bike- so I am feeling good about that mini step.
Karla- I saw the link you share Beyond Diet and her words make sense about the artificial ingredients- I decided to pay the 37 to see what its all about- sounds a little like low gylcemic food diet and it has a 60 day money back offer. Worth a closer look.... I'll let you know what I think. I do think focusing on whole foods will be a better idea for us all.
Patti- you sound so happy and I'm thrilled your holiday was special.
Janet- spending time with family and friends is priceless- hope the drive home will be uneventful.
Bert- we un-decorate next weekend Rick's birthday is the first so we'll leave the tree up until the day after - we have one more family gathering- he turns 60 this year.
Going to plug in the laptop and then work on the book. Really want to do nothing but I need to get focused and keep things moving forward.
Until later-0 -
There are lots of free and borrowed books for kindle on weightloss. Glenn wants that Garcinia Cambodia supplement to take. I just don't want anything like that. I think I'm going to order a Gamin activity tracker like my friend Tmmy has that tracks swimming and sleep.
I have JJ and Izzy tonight. JJ got one of those Hoverboards and is playing on that. It's been near 80 all this week and rain back tomorrow.
I'm having my chai latte tea and surfing the net. Maybe this metabolism plan?
Back later,
Karla0 -
Quick hello. Christmas with family was great fun, and an hour after I left Caleb did his first real hands-and knees crawl. Video is our friend.
Saw my only living aunt today, and two cousins. My aunt is probably facing recurrence of cancer so glad j saw her today - we'll know more next week.
Have been eating a lot the last few days and will recommit as soon as I get home.
Thinking of you all - based on posts here & on FB it appears everyone had a blessed and joyous Christmas.
Tomorrow I will pay respects to a family friend who passed this week then drive home. Monday I see doc but am really hoping to unplug and get some rest the remainder of the week.0 -
Hey loves I lost 115 lbs and hit a brick wall. Very discouraging as I have 106 more to go. Would like more friends with a lot of weight to still lose. Please add me Hugs0

Good morning ladies. I am sad this morning at the loss of one of my classmates and a friend to me back in the day. She leaves a large family that is heavily struggling with this sudden loss. Please pray for my friend Jennifer's family. I had sent her a message on FB over a week ago, but she was in the hospital then. She never came out of the coma. She had lost her son four years ago and of course, never got over the pain of this.
Karla0 -
Hugs, Karla - what a difficult thing, especially with the shock of the sudden loss.
Am not going to add 3-4 hours to my day by waiting here to visit funeral home. I need to get home before I really hit the wall. Added it up in my head and it will actually be closer to 2,000 miles for the two trips, many different people, and I am just maxed out and need to get home so will leave right after brunch. With luck I will be home before 6. Weather is dicey (wind & rain) so prefer to drive while it's light and traffic lighter.
I have eaten whatever the whole trip and am back ON bring very careful tomorrow. Will fetch fresh groceries and concentrate on starting anew.
Wishing you all a very good day.0 -
Good morning from paradise,
Sitting on the porch, watching the river fly by. It has come up several feet in the last 2 days and is suppose to rise another 5 feet by New Years. No where near flood stage but very swift and dangerous. We saw a 18-20 foot ski boat go by, half sunken, yesterday. We had our last Christmas celebration for this season with my son, DIL, granddaughter, BIL and his heinous wife, and favorite nephew. Lots of laughs, the heinous SIL was sickly, as usual, and kept herself isolated from all the fun, so we were able to,really enjoy ourselves. I shouldn't speak so meanly of her but she is a very evil person and has caused so much trouble in the family, that it's hard to be charitable about her. We were up until after 3am and I was awake by 8:30. I sleep very little down here because I don't want to waste any time enjoying it, lol. Everyone is leaving soon and Edd will be going home for the day to help the son work on one of the rentals,,but will be back by dinner time. This will be a much-needed quiet time for me.
I brought my workout gear, DVDs and TRX with me and plan to get back to exercising, otherwise returning to the gym next week will be super ugly! Also plan to research some diet plans also, and start menu planning. Haven't been on the scale in a while becUse I don't need that kind of negativity in my life, lol.
I have truly enjoyed this season like no other. Feeling blessed is an understatement! Praying that my good fortune continues into 2016.
Janet, I hope by now you are ensconced in your bed, surrounded lovingly by your cats and resting for the next few days. Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend.
Karla, you made quite a haul this year in the present department and I know you reveled in being with all your family. Also sorry to hear of your unexpected loss. Such a hard time of year for people to lose loved ones.
Cindy, tell Rick happy birthday on his special day from me. You are sounding less stressed and I pray that 2016 is better for you in that department.
Suzi, if you are lurking, I hope your lithotripsy was successful and you are enjoying the holidays with little or no pain.
Better go wake up the hubs and nephew and get their day rolling so I can have the place to myself for a bit. Got some Netflix shows calling me!

Cincinnati, congrats on your loss so far. We all have varying amounts of weight to lose and would love to have you join us. We are a fledgling group to MFP but not to weight loss and all the ups and downs associated with the journey, please come back, tell us about yourself if you would like and join this group of smart, funny and very devoted women.

Hello, it is long lost me..but there continues to be much more of me. I am sick of it. back to Trim Fown Club next week I like the diet and it was cheap.0

On the beach for three nights and it is gorgeous and in upper 70's, people in the pool when we got here. Lol. Going to see my dad and brothers tomorrow. Jason and his family coming tomorrow too.
Judy- glad my instructions to find us here helped.
Laying down before my reunion buddies get here for our gathering. I made the sliders and Captain Rodne cheese bake earlier. They are marinating in the fridge ready to bake.
Take care,
Karla0 -
A quick, tired but happy hello. Patti and Karla, glad you are in your happy places. Cindy, hug Rick for me!
Made it home safely. Good thing I headed out early -- heavy rain + traffic + too many bad drivers made it an intense trip but I got home before dark.
Had great times with my own family and other families I love. Little arms gaave me hugs, great conversations were had and fabulous food was ingested in inappropriate quantity. So be it. Will make a grocery run tomorrow and stock up on fresh veggies and berries. I want to stay in this week and be quiet much of the time.
Very tired here -- hoping nobody tries to reach me tomorrow morning because I intend to languishh in bed as late as possible -- need the sleep and the snuggles with the cats, who were glad to see me.

HI All- quick check in- don't bother with the Beyond Diet- I can't eat 2000 calories per day and have specific things that I must eat- yucko.
I'm checking out a 21 day challenge from Prevention Take Control of Your eating. Its on online thing for $10- reading about it now. Seems like a sensible approach- but getting daily tips.
Patti- glad the river is wonderful
Karla- the view is stunning
Judy- so glad to see you- What is Trim Down?
Janet- Glad you made it home safe and sound. Rest tomorrow.
I haven't tracked the last two days- but tomorrow I'm back at it!
Need to finish up some stuff- got a lot of editing done yesterday and my blog is posted today.
See you all then.0 -
Great fellowship with my reunion buddies. Great friendsjhip spanning 40-45 years for most of us were in Junior HS together too. Erroneous bought a dish and had healthy fruit wig flowing wine glasses for the ladies. It was wonderful and view is out of this world as seen above.
Cindy- I like the prevention magazines. $10 is something affordable to kick start us for the new year. We are breaking down Chris's room and moving my office out of our bedroom and getting a nice treadmill and stationary bike in there. So excited. Glenn is onboard to lose too.
Heading out on the balcony to listen to the waves. Life is good.

Good Morning all! Haven't posted much to this thread, but have been reading along, so hope you don't mind if I chime in. Trying to get going after overindulging this Christmas. Nothing awful as the scale seems stable. Going to incorporate some additional exercise into the regimen in the hopes of seeing Onederland maybe by Valentines. I think I can do it! Expecting some winter weather today. Have been terribly spoiled with this mild weather and I am not ready for it!
Have a great day everyone!0 -
Good Morning, it's raining again today! Our creeks and and river levels are up. Breakfast is tracked and I'm hoping to stay within the calorie limit today! Have a great day everyone.
Bert0 -
Good Morning Friends- I've biked for 30 minutes this morning and ate a good breakfast and a pint of water. I'm off to a great start. I am going to avoid the scale for a bit as I feel it will be horrible and make me give up and keep eating way to much. I've packed a bunch of cookies up for the freezer and for the kids so less temptation.
Rhan91- welcome and feel free to hang around. We are a group from WW and we use our real names if you'd like to share feel free.....
I'm based in Western MA and I've love 35 pounds- before thanksgiving it was 40 - sigh I started in April 2013 and I plan to reach my goal of losing another 40 this year.
Check back often.
Karla- good news about your office/ exercise room. Good use of space. Did you buy the RV for your cottage on wheels at your house?
Bert- you are on plan- take it one meal at a time today. You can do this....
Janet- hope you're rested and take it easy today you are still healing.
Patti- How is the cottage this morning- Im sure peaceful.
Judy- waving to you
Suzi- how are the stones?
Well off to the mall to return some clothes-and someplace for lunch- I'm planning salad.... so we'll see
Until later.0 -
Good morning everyone and welcome Rjan. Hope you keep stopping by. We are all Erving up to kick it into gear in the New Year so stay tuned for some group challenges, inspirational quotes, sage advice, and best of all support and friendship.
Karla, loved your view and your post really made me chuckle with Errounious food and fruit wig wine glasses. Sounds like a great get together. I really like that you are getting your office back and replacing it with gym equipment. Nice to just take a ride r do your walking and then hop in the shower or go to bed without having to go very far, lol. Me, I just cannot do the bike or treadmill. I make it about 10 minutes and I am so bored I just can't stand it. I have tried watching tv, reading, listening to music but I just can't do it. Guess I just need more distractions than most to get it done, lol. So proud of you and Glenn for getting your plan in place0 -
Oops, hit reply instead of return. So here I am again.
Cindy,,great start and I am right there with you on not weighing just yet.
Janet, hope you are all snuggle up and resting. These past few weeks have sure been jam packed for you. I know you have truly enjoyed your trips but are long over due for some real down time.
Well it is cold and rainy here, I was going to say again but really it is still ⛈☔️0 -
You have been handed a reprieve, most of my WAY too long post got deleted some how. Dangerous iPad anyway. So here is the short version. River coming up, started at 35 ft and going to crest about 45.5 by Thursday. Still below flood stage. My heinous SIL brought her cold with her this weekend and reinfected Edd, poor baby. I got a subscription to Shape mag for Christmas (my request) so will pass on anything I think. Ishtar be useful to the group. Heading to Wally World later for food and a few other things we need, like cold mess for Edd.
Tonight is the big game.....Bengals at the Broncos ...... I am rooting for the Broncos, Edd is a Bengal fan so it may get ugly up in here tonight, lol.

It is amazing how this thing changes what I write, but at least it is good for a chuckle

Hello and welcome to Cinci and Rjan (love the dog pic!).
Very tired today -- this week I will focus on getting more rest, which I desperately need, and getting set up for success in 2016. Will make a grocery run tomorrow or Wednesday, have ordered shrimp, lobster tails and crab cakes for pickup (I'll do a seafood splurge for New Year's to treat myself, since I'll be home alone).
Keeping this short today but hope everyone is dry, warm and happy.0 -
Janet, thanks for the info on Karla, I was hoping it was that she was just busy as we all are this time of year. After the New Year we will all be ready to buckle down and get this ball rolling in the right direction again.
I will be going to the cabin the day after Christmas and will be staying until after New Years but will do my best to stay on track and stay in touch. My BFF from Texas will be here next week and I can't wait to see her, hopefully Wed.

PattiSafe travels Janet. We will be here when you return.
Dinner with Mom was a true pleasure. She so enjoyed the company and the few gifts I brought her were well received. Loved my time with my BFF and can't wait to see her again this summer. Her life is not a happy one and I wish she lived nearer to me since we always seems to lift each other's spirits no matter what.
Back when I can and wishing you all the beauty of the season
Patti
