Good Morning, Ladies. Yesterday was cantata day at church.....very tiring but the message of Christ's birth through music was amazing! I always love singing with an orchestra....

Arthritis is in full swing today.....it's raining, and a big weather change is coming.

PATTI: Yes, I had my pre-op done at the hospital...they are to forward the information to my surgeon. I'm going to call later this week to verify they received it. I so hope that this surgery will ease the pain in my right groin, hip, quadriceps, and the tingling in my leg.

Today is full of making fudge and sending it to my brother, making pretzel "salad" and chocolate cake for tomorrow's carry in at my former school. I think it was nice for them to invite me to participate. Tonight is the Christmas Party where I work part time as a college supervisor. I have one more student to evaluate this week, and then the semester is over. Have a great day everyone.

Question: How can you delete items from your list of foods? My list is getting pretty big and there are some foods that I don't eat anymore.

    Good morning, everyone!

Karla, good idea on the camper as a guest space and -- far in the future -- place for Kerry. Figured you and Glenn were about due with a serious sit-down with Chris. He has become too comfortable in your loving home and needs to start thinking forward. (But we all knew that -- and remember being 18 too.) Glad Glenn has significant time off over the holidays -- what fun you will have!

I am better today -- yesterday was an unexpected scare but I knew how to handle it. Today seems better. I have put this old body through a lot this year but truly wanted to get it done as expeditiously as possible. Next year I will try NOT to have 30+ hours of surgery!

Going to make this an easy day except for doc appointment and a couple of small errands. Had a protein shake for breakfast and will have citrus of some sort in a bit.

Am really looking forward to seeing family and friends Saturday night and being with Caleb as he is baptized Sunday. Need to figure out what to wear Sunday that will look nice for church and still be comfortable on the 6-ish-hour drive home.

    Waving hello to all.

    Good rainy morning,
Bert, I bet the cantata was moving and filled you with the beauty and love of the season. So glad your pre op work is done and you don't have to worry about it thru the holidays.

Janet, I am sorry you had the scare yesterday. Knowing how to handle it was a plus but I am sure didn't make it any less scary. Rest this week so you can truly enjoy your visit with Caleb, Julie and family. Wish you didn't have to turn around and head back home so quickly. If you would like to break your trip up a bit I would happily meet you for lunch/dinner/coffee....whatever as you make your way down 75. I am about half way between Toledo and home. We can keep it brief, just long enough to give you a break and give me a look-see at the new you. Just putting it out there. I will be home on Sunday, no plans and ready to meet you at the drop of a hat anywhere. I know there is a Panera on Miller Lane, just off 75, south of 70.

Waiting for the drain cleaner guy so I can get on with my life. Need to run the dishwasher, do laundry and clean up the kitchen. Then a trip to the grocery, that's a maybe. It might wait until I tomorrow. Still not feeling my best and Edd seems to have relapsed. Hate when we pass the crud back and forth. But I am not complaining, first cold in over 10 years. Tonight they are having a Member appreciation party at the gym and rolling out new plans/memberships and hopefully classes. Then it is blacklight Zumba. Better start thinking about what's for dinner so I can get something thawed out.

HI Ladies- Another busy day and the rain has just hit us. Even had a bit of thunder and lighting. Who would think December would be warmer than September.
Janet I got your card and check today so I'll get the books out tomorrow. They are packed up and ready to go- I hope you enjoy them I included a couple of book marks so you can add one with the books you're passing along.
I'm glad you have a fun weekend coming up and I agree no surgeries a all next year.
Karla- the camper space is a great idea for Chris and eventually your brother. They can be very comfortable to live in and many people do just that.
Bert- sounds like your surgery pre-op is all set now- good news. Have fun tomorrow with everyone.
Need to run- but see you all tomorrow. I had trboule logging on at work- think we might have IT issues again.
    Good night dear friends.

Bert, glad you got the pre-op stuff done locally. Smart to check to make sure they receive everything.

Cindy, thanks -- looking forward to the package and bookmarks!

Patti, thanks for the offer. I will probably want to motor home after baptism and brunch but if I need a break will let you know. If not Sunday, let's get together after the holidays. How is Edd doing?

Karla, how did Glenn do at work? Hope it doesn't frazzle him this week as he gets ready for time off.

Doc said I did the right things yesterday. She tended to everything and although she is quite sure nothing's infected, gave me another week of antibiotics just to be safe. And more pain pills, which I still need with this one. She gave me permission to drive up for the party and baptism, and to wear glasses without my splint or taping them above my nose while I am with people. I see her again next Monday.

Indulged a long-term craving for a Filet O'Fish. It's been two years since I had one and the desire has been bugging me. It tasted great and killed the craving. Sigh ...

    Have a good evening, everyone!

So I went to the gym early for the members' party (4-7P) got there at 6 and they were basically all done. They had food but were taking it away as I walked in. They had door prizes but were drawing the last one as I arrived. I didn't want the food and was ok about not getting in the drawing, it was the principal of the thing. Did get a few minutes with the gym director and got questions answered about the new membership plans. Few changes to the classes next quarter, but they are bringing back a full Pilates class on Fridays instead of the Zumba/Pilates combo class. There is a new class called extreme fitness, it is just a 30 minute class and sounds intense. Will give it a try at least. I really need more strength training and less aerobics. There is a women and weights class but the trainer is so annoying I dread taking her classes. I have been coughing and having a runny nose all day so wasn't sure about Zumba, but made it thru without any problems and feel better because of it.

Janet, totally understand the need to get on home. But we will definitely get together after the holiday madness. This year my calendar seems to be much fuller than in previous years, but in a good way. I am so glad your Dr is super cautious. How nice that you don't have to do the tape/splint thing for your trip. And Edd is much better, just needed a day of rest and he is right as rain.

Karla, when do you see the ortho for your arm? Is Glenn still on the mend? I think the talk with Chris and the moving him to the guest room is a smart choice. We use our RV as a guest room all the time. It will be perfect for Kerry in the distant future.

I have no appetite, sinus drainage will do that for you. I ate some noodles with butter because a salad with chicken just wasn't appealing. I have one all made up so hopefully that will be tomorrows meal. Edd enjoyed his though. I do need to find something else to eat because I am still below just my basic calories, not including Zumba (which is way over estimated on calorie burn). Enough from me. See you all later

Good Morning, Ladies. Today is the Christmas carry-in at my former school. My principal invited me, so I'm happy to attend. Yesterday, I made pretzel "salad" and a vegetable lasagna for the guy I taught with. This morning is chocolate cake from scratch! I didn't have any baking powder, so I hope it turns out ok as I was not getting dressed at 6:00 am to go buy it.

Tonight is a church committee meeting. Then I think I'll collapse! Have a great day everyone.

Good morning ladies. Sorry no post yesterday, but I did read it. Training this new lady is draining me dry, but she is doing well. Busy with the holiday, as all of you. I'm still making the throws and they are so lovely this year with the contrast threads and stitches I am using.

Patti- You are not speaking much of Susie lately, is she okay? Plans for Christmas? Your mother's card went off yesterday as I went to the Post Office to mail cards and a package.

Janet- Sounds like the legs are giving you a bugger-bear of a time. I hope the two trips don't push them further. I'm sure the doctor would have told you if not. I would stop and take a little more breaks than you normally do.

Bert- You cake may not rise and well without the baking powder. Did you use self-rising flour or plain? You have been a very busy bee.

I'm working again today and then I'm off tomorrow. I meet my BFF, Tammy, tomorrow at 1p for our gift exchange and lunch. We are eating at Moe's Southwestern Grill and right next door is a Starbucks, so we will be going there to continue to catch up and have a Latte of some sort. They have comfortable seating and not as noisy as Moe's. We usually talk for over 2 hours. Then it's off to have a mani and pedi and my hair done, so a sun day. Saturday is our Mitchell family get together in MS. Unfortunately, again, it is on the same night as my other BFF, Moncia's, annual Christmas party. We will attend it afterwards.

TT: What challenges would you like to see the OMG board focus on next year? Where is your personal area of need?

TT: I'd like to see us start this board three times a week. That way we know there is a new topic and quote. It just feels like we meet here and talk and not focus on why we are here, which is fine during the holidays, but many of us are hanging on to the re-gains, not losing as we should, WHICH, we all know is due to our eating habits. Exercise alone will not drop the weight off you, but it does help for fitness and added burned calories. Most of us have done the exercise thing to extreme and not lost weight. But we know, that if we focus on good healthy food choices, drink lots of water and cut out the sweets and carb snacks, we will lose. Let's turn this bus around and utilize this system to the fullest!!

Good morning, to bed late and up late. Heading to Mom's when I am done here. It has been raining and she usually doesn't go out in the rain, so will see if she needs anything before I go.

TT: The one thing I like about MFP boards is that we don't have to constantly restart them. I would vote for a weekly restart. I love being able to go back easily and read all the posts without going from board to board. I would like us to get back to weekly group challenges and mini goals and it would be easier to post and follow if we are on the same thread for a week. I think we can easily post quotes and topics this way too.

Would love for everyone to weigh in on how they want this board to work starting in the New Year. I am flexible and will gladly go with whatever the majority wants.

Karla, I have been texting with Suzie frequently. She suffers from major depression so becomes anti social this time of year. I make sure we continue to talk even if we don't see each other. She is very witty and bright, I just wish she didn't have this particular demon to battle. I know there is nothing I can do to change it other than be there for her and not stop encouraging her to be a part of life. She says she has never been suicidal. I think her husband and son keep her from going down that road.

    Later taters,
    Patti

    Good morning, Important Women.

Patti, I feel for Susie and you. My ex had severe depression and anxiety and it can really be debilitating. Is Edd continuing to bounce back?

Bert -- bet you had a blast -- of coures your friends wanted your sunny presence at lunch!

Karla, how is Glenn doing, and how aare things with Chris? Hoping things are smooth. I know you are a aterrific trainer -- it's a lot of work for you but think of it as paving the path to your retirement. You haven't mentioned your eyes lately -- are things more stable on that front? Have fun with Tammy!

My vote would be for a weekly restart (Monday start) with a focus and challenges. Would provide continuity of a running thread but also give us time to focus. We want to make navigation easy too. Definitely no more than two threads a week, please. Restarting each week will restore the opportunity for each of us to step up again with our unique spin on things.

One other suggestion for the new year -- maybe each of us could take stock weekly and post successes and concerns -- What's Working for Me and What Needs Work. We need to be fully accountable to ourselves and each other -- it's the best way forward.

Snacking is my big current issue. Until my thyroid levels get figured out it's a bigger struggle. As soon as the holidays are over (and am not giving myself a pass during them, just acknowledging the difficulty), I HAVE to get back to many, many fruits and veggies, lean protein and little else. Am finally feeling up to doing a little more than grabbing something that takes NO effort -- that's been my last couple of weeks.

Yes, Karla, this surgery is indeed a bugger-bear to recover from (love that term -- must be a southernism), which I knew going in, and the second and third weeks are the worst part. But today my energy is starting to come back. Am going to challenge myself a bit -- gently. But taking pain meds for sure. Am on third load of laundry -- clean sheets tonight!

The doc is fine with me driving but I will vary from my preferred pattern of stopping once and as briefly as possible. I will make at least one stop of at least 15 minutes, though it will bug me to do so. Even without a schedule, I just like the zen of driving with as few interruptions as possible. And with both upcoming trips, there will be endless Christmas music too!

Been writing this on and off for two hours -- time to post already.

Hi Girls- A quick stop in.
I vote for weekly starts- and I like Janet's idea of success and challenges. In addition I would like to see recipe exchange with high protein and correct kind of fats and carb in balance.
I'll be back but really needed a friend fix.

Janet, that is a great idea about what's working and what's not.
Cindy, love the recipe exchange idea too.
Looks like we are getting our thinking caps on for the New Year and the new us. We all could do with a bit of focus. We may even want to consider changing the name of our group to reflect weekly focus/challenge/accountability/sharing as we work toward our ultimate goals.

Janet, the frequent stops to get your circulation flowing into your legs is a must for your continued healing. I know it slows you down and is a change from your usual zen driving, but worth it in the end.

Mom and I watched Gone Girl today. I am very behind the times on my movies. Since we don't go to them, don't buy the DVDs and don't have Netflix or any pay channels there is always a laundry list of movies I want to see "someday"
Helped Mom set up her cellphone, change the sheets, move some things around and then we just chatted away until we decided to watch the movie. She recorded it back in June! Need to get ready for TRX booty kicking time.

Hit the wall this afternoon and plopped -- was actually able to sleep for half an hour with one cat at my ankles and the other at my shoulder. I have clean sheets. Ate well today -- had shrimp cocktail for dinner and have had a couple of yogurts. Stayed within my limit -- whew.

Tired but it's up early tomorrow -- much to do. And my cleaner is coming and I need to find and wrap her gifts and put her Christmas bonus into a card.

    Sleep well, everyone -- hugs!

    Hi Ladies-
Yes it does seem like we are preparing to battle our weight loss program and come out victorious in the new year. I know stress eating has been a big factor for me in the last few months and with those stupid cookies in the front porch it has been easy to dip into them.
I know that mindless eating won't take my stress away and I had a stern talk with myself this morning while putting my make up on. For today I am refocused on eating 3 meals and NO snacks. I guess I'm in the one meal at a time mode. If I want to snack it will be liquid only and considering I don't drink soda or juice it will be water or coffee. Again, refocused on what I really need to do for me.
With the exception of two gift cards my shopping is done- now to wrap. Not something I enjoy and I will get to the post office today for stamps. My cards are done but I keep forgetting to purchase stamps.
Janet your books are in the mail tub at work so you're all set :)
Karla- is Glenn back to 100%? The pictures of Izzy on her first bday are adorable.
Janet- glad the fur babies kept you company while you rested yesterday.
Patti- Was Gone Girl good- I haven't seen it yet. I did buy Rick a bunch of DVD's yesterday on Amazon for Christmas- they were around $5 and many of them had 10 movies on the DVD so a worthwhile investment- we watch them at camp.
Bert- how was your event yesterday- I'm sure everyone loved the cake and salad you made.... although somehow calling your pretzel salad is amusing.
Need to get busy with work but needed a friend fix to start the day.
    Until later.

    Good Morning, Ladies.

TT: I would like a weekly board as well. Would it still be this board so we don't have to search? I like the fact that I have book marked this board and don't have to search for it. I would like to focus on losing the weight I have regained and focus on mini challenges such as drinking more water (a big downfall for me) and avoiding unhealthy snacking.

I can stay home today, which I am so thankful for. Have a great day.

Good sunny morning here, but cold, I will not complain.

Cindy, I am right there with you on the mindless snacking. Edd offered me a Ding Dong last night, not even something I like or would ever buy, but I said yes. I did eat it very slowly to somehow justify eating it at all. Figured if I truly savored and enjoyed it that would make it worth my while, not sure that is solid reasoning. But I tracked it and today is another day.

Bert, Not sure how we will handle a new board weekly since we have only ever started 3 threads here. It will probably be a trial and error sort of thing but we do want to make it as easy to access as possible. I think we all need to get back to focusing on the basics, especially after the holidays. I am hoping that by this time next year I have this under better control and don't have to still need to loose weight.

Well the drain did not get totally cleared. Our house sits way back from the road and we always need them to bring in the extension for the rotorooter thingy, I noticed they didn't do that this time and mentioned it to Edd at the time but was ignored. I did 1 load of laundry and the danged thing backed up. So he will be waiting for them to come, and it better be today. Off to the grocery, then hair appointment, followed by Christmas shopping and dinner with my scrapbooking ladies. I do know that the meal is homemade noodles cooked in the drippings of a pot roast, and as far as I am concerned I need nothing else. But there will be sides and desserts, all homemade and delish. Will be missing Zumba tonight but that is how it goes. Tomorrow after Circuit class I am meeting my Yayas for lunch at Bravos. At least I know I have a very calorie friendly meal that I love there. Better get a move on or I will be chasing myself all day.

Hi, all. Definitely getting better but trying to take thjngs slowly. Just had a little siesta. Going to cook crab cakes from local seafood market for dinner.

Still need to wrap gifts and find stockings, but not tonight. Going to shower and go to bed early. Hair trim tomorrow, mani Frday.

Am vacillating between no appetite and being ravenous. Doing my best ...

    Hugs to all.

Well this day just flew by, but was fun and productive. Only have 2 small gifts to buy and one of them is a gift card. Now just need to wrap them. Drain is not totally cleaned out so I can finish laundry tomorrow, hopefully after lunch with the girls and before TRX. Dinner with my scrapping buddies was so much fun and 2 of them didn't know about my daughter and I meeting. They were so happy for me and there were lots of tears shed when I read Susie's FB post of our story. I feel more blessed every day and keep wondering what I ever did to deserve all my wonderful friends and family.

Janet, so glad you are feeling better. Must be a huge relief to know that things will just keep getting better from here with no more major surgeries on the horizon. Rest when you can, eat what you need and then you will be ready to see your darling Caleb. I know that will lighten your heart like nothing else can. Hugs right back to you.

Hi all. I'm still here and have been reading your posts to stay caught up. It's turned into a busy week and I've got kidney stones again.... Or should,I say still. The ones on the other side that were there but not moving and causing pain have decided to move and cause pain. Carp! Lithotripsy surgery for Christmas again this year. At least this time it's not on Christmas Eve, it's the day before.

Good Morning, Ladies! Today will be focused on running errands, mailing gifts to family, etc. I'm determined to make wise choices in the eating department. I need to focus on eating more veggies. I just don't get them in unless I have a salad.....that will be my lunch today. Have a great day!

Suzi, Not again, what a way to spend Christmas again this year. Hope that you are feeling better by Christmas day and that this is the end of those pesky stones.

Bert, maybe your first mini goal can be to have a least one veggie with every meal. Hope you have a productive day.

Karla, are you ok? I know you have been busy with training and getting ready for the holidays, hope you are not getting run down and sick again.

I thought I was over the crud that Edd gave me, but the coughing started last night. I think it is mostly post nasal drip, I am not sick in any other way. However, I was coughing so much that my ribs and chest hurt, throat is raw and I am exhausted. So decided to skip the gym this am, want to be able to enjoy lunch with the girls, then a little shopping and if the coughing stays at bay will be able to go to TRX tonight. We are finally getting WiFi in the house today. We have been using our cellphone plan for out internet. When we had an unlimited data plan it worked but that is no longer the case. Will need to see if I can reduce my data plan on the phone since I won't be needing it except at the cabin or when we travel.

Wishing you a day full blessings and hope you don't overdo.

Suzi, RATS. Those little buggers are painful. At least it'll be Eve-eve, not Eve this year. Still, that just stinks.

Had very vivid and bizarre dreams, which happens when I'm sleep-deprived. I know that all my wrapping is likely to need to be done Monday and Tuesday. Still recuperating here but better -- only needed two pain pills yesterday. Was going to have yogurt for breakfast but no longer have time -- must shower and get out for hair trim and a couple of other things.

Bert, could you please make me a salad? I have the fixings but have just been lazy on that front. Have two more small crab cakes for tonight and WILL have a salad with them.

Much to do == was just thinking of everyone and wanted to say good morning!

A thought about the board for the new year: We could start thre thread January 1 and just let it roll with the same title == BUT someone would chair the board each week and on Sunday night or Monday morning would begin the new week's topic/challenge. That way our bookmarks would hold and we'd have continuity of conversation BUT also get back to our fundamental focus.

    Later, friends!

Janet, I really like your idea. With the way the boards run here I see no value in starting a new thread every week. Especially since it brings you to the next post after your last post. 2 pain pills a day sounds like progress. I would love to find some crab cakes around here that are worth eating but so far none I have tried are worth the price.

Weird day here. I bought new snowman earrings yesterday and they broke today, bummer. Then stopped at the liquor store on the way to lunch and the guy in line in front of me was paying with all change and had to have the clerk count it for him. Enough for a pint. He had some very telling body movements, repetitive strong motions of hands and arms, that made me very nervous. He was standing outside smoking when I left the building but I waited until his back was to me to scoot out and into my car. Just had an awful gut reaction to him. Got the restaurant, ordered our food and it was taking forever. Our server was very gracious and apologetic, he seemed to be having a less than stellar day but was still attentive. It turned out the kitchen had cancelled the order but never prepared it. 2 of the girls needed to get back to work. Our server offered to take our drinks off the tab, we all had water so no go on that. Then he offered to comp the salads, I did not have one but the other girls did. The one girl had to take her entire meal to go, plus she had a carry out order for her hubby. The server asked if we would like separate checks. I spoke up and very calmly said "I really don't think there should be any checks. Would you have the manager come over. Please understand, we know this is not your fault" The manager arrived shortly and asked if the food was to our liking and said the meal was on him today and he apologized for the inconvenience. We all piped up with a thank you and assured him we would return. After all, it is one of our favorite restaurants. When we were finished we called our server over and each gave him $10, more than double the tip he would have gotten normally. You should have seen the look on his face, I thought he was going to cry. We all just said Merry Christmas. He was then off duty and heading to his 3rd job of the day, serving at Starbucks. Stopped at Kohls and exchanged the earnings for ones that seemed to be sturdier, lol. Driving home on the expressway some idiot going 80 miles and hour was whipping in and out of traffic and then passed me on the right shoulder, I was doing 70 in a 65. Never a cop around when you need one. Was happy to be home to find that the WiFi was successfully installed and working. Now I am coughing like I was last night, so skipping TRX to get some rest and may just start using my new Netflix for some shows I have been wanting to see.
Thus ends the saga of my day.

Hope we hear from Karla soon, beginning to get worried about her. Hoping all is well

Patti, you and your friends handled the lunch situation very well -- and your server has probably had his week made by your collective kindness. Netflix is a really nice thing -- a dear friend gave me a three-month trial years ago and I've kept it up. I still get DVDs too because they don't put new flicks or old-old onoes up to stream. Reconsidering that expense (beyond streaming) for the new year though.

Karla, where are you????? Hope you aren't sick again.

Went for hair trim only because when I made appointment my guy (who owns the place) didn't have availability to do cut & color. But he made time! He is the best. Ran several necessary errands -- bought a bourbon cake to take to Saturday's party.

I am improving each day but still won't be all the way back for a few weeks yet. Have to cover all that up around family though. Going to take it very easy tonight -- about to lie down with a bit of a headache, then make packing list for the weekend. I have a mani tomorrow afternoon and need to pack for Sat.-Sun trip.

    Will check in later.

    HI Ladies-
I thought today was Friday and when I realized it was Thursday was a bit disappointed.
Patti I agree about a cop being around when you need one- but they're out when we're going a little too fast lol
Janet- you are sounding more like yourself- so glad.
Where is Karla- has anyone heard from her?
Suzi- does the doctor know why you get kidney stones- I feel your pain literally I have had the twice.
Slowly getting ready for next week. Bought paper goods tonight. I have two more families to wrap and Rick's stuff and one last gift to by for my mother-in-law and then i'm done.
Megan is on her way to Georgia to pick up her step kids as they'll be here for the holidays.
I can't believe the year is almost over.
Janet- are you leaving Saturday morning?

We all seem to be ready for Friday! I leave early Saturday - want to get checked in and have a little lie-down before I get ready for the party.

Been thinking about the board. Just because we keep a single running thread, it doesn't mean we can't mark weeks with fresh challenges -- and there is no reason why we shouldn't have multiple TTs during a week. I do like the idea of having a leader for a given week - it will help us focus because we all know we need to. More important, we WANT TO.

2016 is our year to shine, and we shine best together!

    Good Morning, Ladies

JANET: I really like your idea of keeping one thread. That way we can book mark it and won't have to search. It's difficult at times to find the threads. I've book marked this one and really like not having to search.

PATTI: You certainly had an exciting day with the restaurant, driving, and ear ring breaking.

I got many things done yesterday. It cost a fortune to mail the goodies to family members, but it's only once a year. I also sent them coffee made by a local business, Clabber Girl. They make Rex coffee here as well as the well known baking powder. The UPS guy said those were the best smelling boxes! Today is house cleaning and organizing where I'm going to put out goodies for our Sunday Christmas celebration.

I really need a boost in the motivation department concerning my eating. I do well at breakfast and lunch, and then it goes downhill! Have a great day everyone.

    HI Ladies-
TGIF- It has been a long week in the house of Race- but progress is being made.
I have more presents to wrap this weekend and need to make and ship bread on Monday. Need to run to JCP tonight for my MIL- I'm her personal shopper- :)
I'm doing a 2 hour stint at a booking signing tomorrow which is actually pretty exciting.
Need to run but thinking of you all this morning

Hi, all -- Quick stop here as well. Trying to make this an on-plan day because the weekend will be entirely eating out. Hoping to make decent choices and not eat much during the drives (with traffic and stops, 6 1/2-7 hours each way). Christmas music ready to roll, of course.

Had two yogurts with some PB2 for breakfast -- antibiotic is messing with stomach so mild things are better right now. The party tomorrow night is bring-finger-food so there will be many temptations. I bought a KY bourbon cake to take -- easy and something no one else will bring. I do want to taste it but not have a ton of it.

Christmas is just a week away! So much to do but let's concentrate on the reason, not the trappings -- including food.

    Later!
