Well, I didn't get to a meeting today to scope things out. We worked in the yard all morning and didn't even come in for lunch until 2:00. So, I'm no more knowledgeable, but I've got 10,000 steps to show for it.

Karla, thanks for the info. I'm excited to see and hear about the changes.

Patti, I have snowmen, too, but have decided they're too much trouble. I love them, but have to take down and pack other stuff away to make room. Dave is not big on change, so that's my excuse for being too lazy to put them out!

Janet, are you sure you're not doing too much too soon? That was pretty major surgery, please take care of yourself.

Cindy, waving hello as you race by on your busy day.

Cindy, congrats to the graduate. What a special day for everyone. Do you have any complete sets left? I am interested.

"Wicked" was fabulous. Had seen it in NY and this touring production did everything right. It was a 6:30 curtain, which allowed more kids to see the show on a school night. Great people-watching with the many families there, with lots if little girls in their holiday best. We stood in line behind two women, each accompanying a young girl with Down syndrome. The girls were so excited. We had great seats too - my friend Meg ordered the tickets in early September.

I am beat though. Have pushed myself this weekend and my sore spots are feeling it. Tomorrow I see doc and Tuesday I intend to stay home. Hoping to get my nostrils freed! Legs have some serious healing to go but that will happen.

Didn't eat much today. Just wasn't hungry. Did stop at McD's for a cone on the way home - needed something cold and something mild in my stomach. Still way under on calories. Oh well. Will eat more normally tomorrow.

Need to kick into Christmas prep gear and also figure out when my dear friends in MI and I can get together.

Good night, dear friends. See you in the morning.

Good morning friends. I am feeling quite nauseous this morning. I had to take a Norco because my arm was hurting so bad last night. I took it on an empty stomach. I didn't eat enough yesterday either.

Janet- How does the nose look? You must have the bandages off if you are going out in public. Are you pleased? Please be careful on the incisions on the legs, I would hate for them to get infected. I know I don't need to tell you or even fear you aren't taking care of yourself, but you know I worry. Looks like WW listened to you on lean proteins.

Here is a post from one of my friends that went to a meeting yesterday on WW:

I'm excited about the new changes. Higher sugar foods = higher points which means you really need to think through if you want to spend the points. Many lean proteins are now the better buy so to speak. And fruits are still what they were, phew! Activity points seem to be more I think. I earned 18 points and I'm a little perplexed; 4 mile run this morning, 2 mile walk w/pup and lots of meandering walking thru the day while I shopped, cooked etc. Come to think of it this is the first I'm sitting down to relax since the meeting this morning!

I know it's too late for us to enjoy these changes, but it is good to know that they are more in line with healthy guidelines. Charging more for sugary and carbs is a good idea. It is strange how they are allowing people to start it though. I'm trying to find out about the online only.

I am off to work half day today and then more shopping. I'm going to get Glenn a camcorder for Christmas. I was going to get him a camera, but his new Iphone does great, so I think he will enjoy this with all his family get togethers.

    I'll check back later on,

Good morning, it is overcast and cold and looks like rain, yuck!
I am going to stay in until time for Zumba tonight. Seems like I was on my feet non-stop this weekend. I do have the last of the decorating to do but that won't take long. My weight is up a bit but I know it is due to sodium. My weekend was full of it with too many processed foods. I have been craving a big salad, so that is what we are having tonight with some grilled chicken. Next week I have lots of events, 2 lunches and a dinner during the week, but have scheduled everything so I only miss one class at the gym. My GF who is the GF baker is having an open house this Thursday showcasing her baked goods. There will also be several other vendors with samples of their wares for sale. The one I am the most interested in is Weezy's Garlic. She is a local garlic and herb farmer and has lots of her own special blend garlic seasonings, spices and mixes. All of which are natural, no preservatives, non GMO and, from all reports, fabulous. I plan to go to TRX, come home and do a quick wash down so I am not offensive and then go. Love supporting our local small business woman and men.

Edd has a cold and I as keep my distance, no time for it in my life, lol. Fortunately I rarely get a cold. Actually can't even remember when the last one was, I know it has been several years, I intend that streak to continue. I thank my parents for the most awesome genes!

Karla, thanks for sharing again about what is being said about the new WW plan. I am happy they are taking a healthier approach, I think it will lead to long term success for their members. I am very happy and confident with switching to MFP. I am actually doing better with tracking since the switch. For me, I think I needed a change from points and the WW way. I still believe it is a good plan but my body and mind needed to switch gears a bit. Maybe if I had a good meeting and leader, like Suzi, I may have stuck with it. Also, saving the money is a good thing too, lol.

Janet, I love seeing the little girls in their Christmas finery at those shows. I remember taking my granddaughter to see The Lion King at the Arnoff in Cinci when she was 6. What a gracious and pretty little girl she was, so excited for the show and being all dressed up. Can't believe that little girl is 19, living on her own, going to college and working. Where have the years gone?

    Hi, all.

Karla, hope you can relax and feel better. Patti, avoiding your dear Edd is self-preservation. Do what you can.

WW changes make great sense. I suspect the rollout is staged over a week to avoid crashing their all-too-fragile site. Sounds like somebody got enough sense to have the same cry in the wilderness I kept making about how they valued points unfairly for lean protein vs. junk carbs. Eager to read more, though I doubt I will rejoin. Can use the extra $20 each month.

Tired and slow here, which is fine. I am planning to do only minimum necessary for a few days. Today, the doc and will pick up something to eat. Been craving a sloppy sandwich (filet o'fish, of all things) and may just need to dial that into a day soon to get it over with. My nose has a splint on it and several visible stitches at the bottom, inside and out. I simply decided that I would go out this way and let people stare if they wanted to -- same as when I had the throat bandage after thyroid and the facial bruising after the neck-up lifts.

The packing comes out today - yay. I will continue to sleep in the splint. The biggest thing is wearing glasses normally isn't possible. Been going without as much as possible and perching them on the splint so as not to mess anything up. I am being very careful about everything and am not going to derail healing. But it sure is weird to realize I have been through something like 33 hours of surgery this year (including the thyroid). You have all been a godsend through it all.

I have to take this week pretty much off to rest and recuperate. Christmas cards and warpping will simply have to wait -- my plate is full with taking care of basics for a few days.

Hugs to all -- back later.

One comment I wanted to make about the new WW plan, what we know of it so far from Karla and Suzi, they seem to really be pushing the online aspect, what was known as etools in the past. That was the one thing that was rarely, if ever, mentioned in the meetings I went to. I always felt that it was a big missed opportunity for the members. I would bring it up, especially the message boards, in meetings and most everyone acted like I was speaking in tongues (and it was a fairly young crowd) When it was mentioned during a meeting they focused on the phone app for tracking. The one leader I truly loved quit to work in admin at the University of Dayton, her dream job. If she was still the leader, I would still be a WW member, going to meetings. I just wasn't able to connect with the new leader after her. She spent most of the meeting talking about herself, allowing very little time for q&a or member participation. I tried other meetings, that fit in with my schedule, and just couldn't find a leader that worked for me.

Janet, I can't wait until I see the new you and I am praying you will have a picture taken, I know you hate the camera, but everyone really wants to see you, even if you only share it here as your profile. I hope we can get together after the holidays.

The online emphasis may be their way of maximizung membership and also appealing to a younger audience. Hope their tools and platforms will be improved. Patti, you were lucky to have had such a good leader but she's obviously a very tough act to follow. I remember when you tried to bond with the new leader but she was just an egotistical cow.

Doc is pleased with my healing and I am pleased with my nose! Tip is still swollen but no more bump. A more refined, straight nose is healing well -- almost cried. Thighs are healing well too -- the raw spots are not at all unusual with this surgery. There are a couple of small revisions necessary with the thigh surgery but there are always a few little fixes required with this extensive work. I am just so thrilled with my doc!

Very tired and going to put feet up with the game. And sleep in tomorrow if possible.

Hi Ladies- yesterday was hectic but I had an NSV- I stayed on my no s plan- no snacks, seconds or sweets- well I did eat ONE cookie but that was it. Much better day and today I woke up feeling empty. I weighed in and recorded it- I am taking charge.
I sent out a bunch of requests to indie bookstores to see if they are interested in author events from a self published- so far have heard from one and I need to pitch myself as they don't know me- I can do that but I'll see if other are interested too.
Janet- yes I have sets left- I over bought for the events in November....
Patti- let me know if you got your package today.
    Suzi- doing great on steps.
Karla- how is your arm today- hope you're feeling better. Need to head to the office but I will be back at some point-
Janet - wanted to say SO thrilled you're liking the results as they are unveiled so happy for you dear friend.
    Until later-

Quick good morning also. I've been up since before 4am, but watching two recorded shows I fell asleep on Sunday and last night. Cleaned the kitchen, washed my hair and came here to say hello!

Cindy- I purchased the eBook for the Last First Kiss on Amazon last night. I hope to find some time to read a bit each day. Love the cover.

I realize what my problem is since I've been tracking on MFP and seeing my totals more clearly. On a normal basis I am only eating what others use to lose weight. Therefore my body doesn't lose at the normal intake. My dear mother always said that Karla has to BEAT her weight off. Sooooo, no matter how tired I am when I get home this evening, I am DOING a video, even if I only make it 15 minutes, it's a start.

Patti- seems like you have a funfilled week. Enjoy!!

Janet- I'm glad to are trying to have some down time.

    I better run,

Good morning and a quick stop as I head out the door to Mom's.
I couldn't get to sleep last night until nearly 4am, so slept a bit later than I planned. Wolfed down my omelet and now need to scoot. My cards are done and going in the mail today. I never get them out this early, so feeling accomplished.

Cindy, ^5 on your NSV. My mail doesn't come until late afternoon so will let you know. I just finished a book last night, hence the up until 4am, so am ready to dive into the novella.

Karla, just making a commitment to your exercise is a good start. I skipped the gym last night. Monday seems to be a day I bug out on regularly and I need to stop it. Next Monday they are having a member party so my WOP and I are going at 5:30 and then going to Zumba. It is the 6:45 class time that makes it so easy to skip. I have thought about going to a morning class but have committed to my WOP and I know if I don't go she won't either.

Janet, I can tell you are thrilled with your new nose. You have been thru so much it is nice to know that your results are just what you wanted. Wish I knew how to give you an infusion of confidence. Even more I wish you could see yourself through my eyes, eyes that never saw the "before" you, eyes that see your true beauty, inside and out. If you could see what I see you would strut your stuff and bring the men to their knees. Hope you got some rest and continue to do so.

Off I go, later ladies, have a day filled with Christmas Joy!

Cindy, congrats on the single-cookie victory! I would love a set -- will send you a check, just let me know how much. Also ordered e-version of LFK last night.

Karla, How are you feeling? Your mom was talking to me, too -- but you knew that already. Between "thirfty" metabolism genes and being on Rx speed as my body was developing (yes, it helped me lose some weight then but it messed my system up for good). We're both in the same club. It isn't fair but waying that doesn't belp. We just hvae to think of food as a spectator activity! Trying to stick to 1,200 here (let myself have 1,500 Saturday). Not getting on scale until after Christmas because I really need to care much less about The Number and focus on my intake.

    Patti, is Edd getting better?

Doc wants to do "after" pictures in a couple of months. I might just have to get a "slinky" outfit of some sort for the occasion, maybe on after-Christmas sales.

Sore this morning but have promised myself I will stay home and relax. I hvae "Jurassic World" and "Big Eyes" to watch and will contemplate a Christmas movie binge starting soon.

    Later!

Cindy, no delivery but expect it tomorrow. I am so anxious to read the book and to have my own personal and signed copies of your works.

Janet, just love your new nose!! I can tell how happy you are with it. Will your nieces be home for Christmas so they can see the new you?

Nice chatty day with my Mom. All she wanted was for me to help her change her sheets. She had made some split pea soup from the Thanksgiving ham bone. Sharing it with my DIL and will have mine this weekend when Edd is gone to the cabin. Have mustard and brown sugar coated pork tenderloin in the oven now and can't wait to dig in. It is basketball season, so we have to share the gym. I normally love kids but these kids are "uncouth gypsy savages" They see us working out and they just run into us, throw balls our way and never a sorry to be heard. The gym had a survey for us to fill out with our feedback on current classes and classes we would like to see them try out. The best part for me was the comment section. I got to let management know just how wonderful their staff is, from the desk greeters to the personal trainers. The minute you walk in you are greeted with genuine smiles and hellos, bravos for making it to your class and support from the trainers for a job well done. I have never belonged to a gym with such a positive attitude. When there is a complaint, they address it immediately and appropriately and you get feedback within a day or two. The best part is that it doesn't smell like a gym, no stinky equipment or rooms, all the equipment is clean with antibacterial wipes everywhere to clean after use. The bathrooms and locker rooms are spotless. Sorry to go on and on but I have never had such a positive gym experience.

Timer just rang, so better get my tenderloin out of the oven to rest. I hate the waiting period but it makes all the difference.

    Hi Girls-
Patti so sorry the kids are rude- why do parents not teach kids manners anymore- My girls would have been in so much trouble...
I'll pull up the tracking number to find out where the books are- I paid for 2 day shipping.... I think it is guaranteed for today.
i'm about 1/2 way through the edit on R2S- progress. I could use a full day of just editing to really get it rolling.
Janet- can't wait for a new avatar of you.......
    Have a great evening.

Hi y'all from AR. It's been a busy time with my work buddies. Pretty much non-stop since I got here. I'll be heading home tomorrow after the conclusion of a 9:00 a.m. Meeting unless I get roped into something else before I get away. I'm happy to be mostly retired but do enjoy getting caught back up on things. Here are some changes coming down the pike and my division-head told me today that they will be needing me to do a bunch of training and traveling toward the last half of next year if I want the work. We'll see...

I posted a couple things today to our FB OMG group about the new WW program. I thought they answered a lot of my questions.

I'm beat and need to get some sleep. Talk to y'all tomorrow.

Good morning ladies and welcome to Wednesday, our mid-week day, and usually my day at home for me.

Suzi- I am liking what I am seeing and reading on WW too. I still haven't been able to do my assessment. I added my weight in and you don't get the pop-up box anymore saying if you lost or gained, that's nice, lol. I also tracked on the site yesterday and it is now a lot like MFP as the latest foods show up right away that you can pick from. I just couldn't get to the boards yesterday, so not sure what's up there.

My housekeepers are coming today and I'm trying to prep the house for them. There is so MUCH Christmas decor, presents, wrappings to move around, lol. My tree does look gorgeous, it really makes the holiday season. I have the Martha Stewart tree that rotates, switches from all white to colored lights, if you want it to, or it can stay either other. I did the spikes again for the topper. I love it. I have my fire place lit up too with garland, ribbons and stockings. Izzy is enjoying the music boxes I have out. My little sweetheart is coming over this afternoon to makes candies and cookies with me. I have my Christmas luncheon tomorrow at the eye clinic. We play Dirty Santa, I went to Pier 1 yesterday and got my gift, that place is so wonderful!! I got a new ornament in honor of the Paris shootings, it a glitter Eifle tower.

Janet - I'm so pleased you are please with your new nose. I'm glad you are over all the surgeries. Everytime you got cut on it was like I was getting cut on. LOL.

I better get going. Izzy's bedroom is a mess and I need to bag up some toys to donate today too. Her birthday is this Saturday at Pete's Party Castle. Our grandson, Jakob, is coming over to spend the night with us Friday night. He the cute brilliant red haired one. A neat kid.

    Back later,

Good Morning, Ladies.....it's yet another busy day ahead for me; however, I enjoy being busy (most of the time). I know I won't be busy in about a month as my surgery date is Jan. 6. I'm heading to campus this morning to hand in paperwork for 3 of my 4 students. The last student will be completed next Monday. Then I'm heading out of town to pick up a golf club for Mike for his Christmas. After that is Christmas dinner with my former colleagues. I'm so honored that they wanted to invite me back.

Pretzel Salad: bottom layer is half bag of crushed pretzels, 1 1/2 sticks butter, and 2 tbs sugar. Bake for 10 min at 350. Middle layer is 8 oz cream cheese, 1 container cool whip, and 1 c. sugar, top layer is 1 pkg jello mixed with 2 c. hot water and mix with fruit.

I use all sugar free ingredients and also low fat butter.

    Have a great day!

    Bert, that sounds way yummy!

Suzi, glad you will have the option of work if you want -- and if not, their loss.

Karla, I've never seen a revolving tree! How fast does it go? I think that would upset the cats here.

Judy, where are you Saw the pic you were tagged in on FB -- you look beautiful!

Patti, glad you and your mom had a good day. And to think that used to be only a dream. Also happy you got a chance to submit formalized gym feedback. I have never once in my life had any positive association with any physical activity of the exercise type. Not once, ever. And a huge supply of humiliation -- tears come to me at the mere thought of even entering a gym. It's hard-wired. Consider yourself lucky.

Bit of a touch night here. No appetite so going to shower and put clean clothes on, maybe fix oatmeal and berries for lunch. I have a couple of necessary errands and a manicure this afternoon. Also planning to buy the winning Powerball ticket. Yeah, right.

OK -- a few more online tasks, then clean time! Back later.

    Good morning dear friends,
Suzi, I will be reading your info on the new WW when I am done here. Thanks for sharing what you can. I am not sure I could do the part time work like you do. I enjoy full retirement with my time being my time, working if I want, taking off at the drop of a hat if I am so inclined. However, the early years were quite an adjustment with not knowing what to do with myself when we weren't traveling. Now I don't know how I could have had time for work, lol.

Bert, I'm with you on the being busy. I love a full calendar, as long as it is not full of work! Enjoy your dinner. My Yaya's are my former colleagues. The Heart Hospital where we last worked together was bought out (consumed really) by the huge local hospital and no longer exists. All the nurses are scattered throughout town, but the core group still gets together on a regular basis.

Cindy, the rude kids come from equally rude parents. They were walking all over our mats and getting so close that some of us had to stop what we were doing so as not to run into them. Most of them were carrying food from the little restaurant in our gym. Lets just say the man with the buffalo boneless wings did well to run past me, lol!

I am sore from TRX last night, it was a really intense workout and we didn't have class on Thursday, should have a workout over the weekend, just have trouble talking myself into it. So strange when I worked out for 2 years on a very consistent basis before joining the gym. Will be doing some shopping today but nothing else on tap. I am hoping that we have good weather on Saturday so I can take my Mom out looking at Christmas lights. We used to take Edd's Mom every year and she got such joy out of it. I know Mom has missed seeing the big displays because there was very little of that where she lived in Texas.

Janet, are you relaxing? It must be a huge relief to have all the sculpting work done. Now you just need to get used to your new body and nose. I bet it is always a surprise when you look in the mirror, especially with your cute nose. When do you go to Toledo?

I just read the posts that Suzi shared about the new program. I think the plan is solid and the changes are good but I am glad that I cancelled my membership. I don't want to be a "negative Nancy" but what really jumped out at me is that all the WW material I currently own is now defunct. I have a significant investment that now would be just money down the drain. Points calculator, eating out guide, food companion and over 2 dozen cookbooks. Plus the cookbooks by other authors that are based on PP. I do like that they are truly focusing on nutrition and health and giving the scale less power. If I had continued my membership I think I would have been very unhappy about the need to invest even more money to follow the plan. Part of that is my problem because I am a gadget person and would want to buy everything I need to follow the plan, especially cookbooks. So making the switch to MFP has been perfect timing for me, especially for my pocketbook, lol.

Good later morning ladies. I am just off the telephone to my health coach nutritionist. She was wonderful. We went over all the MFP settings. She had it pulled up in on her phone. Here is what she recommended on the nutrients:

    Carbs- 50% of your intake/calories
Protein- 70 gm or 20% of your intake/calories
Cholesterol - 300g (for people watching their cholesterol)
    Fat - 30% of your intake/calories

She also recommended to get the plain yogurt and add Stevia and fruit to it as the flavored yogurts have more sugar and carbs because of it. Interesting. I told her I also liked one tbsp of walnuts in my yogurt and she highly recommended I keep with that as they have good Omega 3 in them.

I am feeling so much better these days. Does anyone have any experience with Lipitor? My doctor's nurse called me yesterday and she has switched me to that. My BFF, Tammy, said she couldn't tolerate it. I have to pick it up today.

It is nippy in my house. I need to put some socks on. I am in flip flops. We are still in the low 70's during the day here, but mid 50's at night. So I guess house is just staying cold.

Janet- Sorry you are having such a tough time. For what you have been through, I think you have done marveously, because recuperation after any major surgery is tough and limiting, but I know you are hurting, even without your surgeries with your back and foot. Tree does not move very fast at all. It is very elegant. I bet you would love it and as long as you don't have dangling ornament on your lowest branches, I don't think it would bother the cats.

    Back to work,

Hi Ladies- Another very busy day- I got another chapter edited at lunch and trying to keep up with the day job work- Holiday stuff and life in general.
Janet- please rest as needed non of us want to see you over do your daily tasks- enjoy the manicure.
Karla thanks for sharing the nutrient info- are these to lose weight or maintain etc?
Sorry I don't take lipitor so i don't have any advice.
Patti- so glad you went to TRX- despite the soreness- you are so good to your body.
Suzi- thank you for posting the WW info- I'll read it a bit later.
Need to get back to the day job-
    Until later.

Karla, that is interesting info and basically is the same as the MFP recommendations so that makes me feel good about sticking with this plan. I know lots of folks taking Lipitor but have never heard anyone say if they had side affects. It certainly has been around a long time and was the drug of choice for many years. Hope it works for you without any problems.

Cindy, progress is being made on the next book. Your gift to you as you are really busy this time of the year.

Did a little shopping. Mom wanted a specific scented wax for her burners from Walmart. There was a huge bin in the middle of the aisle filled will with every scent you could think of for the this time of year. It took me and a very helpful shopper to come up with the 6 packs my Mom wanted. There were hundreds of every other scent, lol. Got my ham for Christmas on sale for $1.09/pound so that is one less thing I have to think about. Edd is still under the weather but not horribly so. He is just not up for doing much other than sitting in his chair, lol. Leftover pork for dinner tonight, so a no sweat meal for me. I ate a late lunch so will wait to have dinner after the gym. The hardest part of following a plan is figuring out my meal times and making sure I get them all in and spaced properly so that I have energy for class and protein for afterwards. My trainer told me I really need to have a protein heavy meal within 45 minutes of a workout, especially when there is strength training involved.

Janet, I do hope you find some rest. You always seem to be on the go and never giving in to the rest your body is begging you for. At least you did something for yourself by getting your nails done.

Cindy- since the carbs, fat and protein are figured on a percentage of the calories you indicate, it will automatically be what your calories are indicating. In other words the higher your calories for maintaining they will adjust up. The lower you calories.. and so on.

Patti- I love hearing all the things you do for and with your mother. It really warms my heart.

Bert- I enjoy your emails immensely.

Suzi- I have been logging on WW and reading all the news, but it won't let me do the assessment.

Cooking some shrimp stir-fry for Glenn and I. I'll check back later on,

Karla, my best friend has been on lipitor for years and has never had a problem. Same for my dad. Hope it works for you without side effects. Glad you are feeling better. Thanks for the nutritionist report -- knew she'd reassure you that you're on the right track! Wish I could tolerate stevia -- the taste and I are not friends. So I use Splenda or honey (I never buy yogurt that has sugar or fat but really should use more nonfat plain Greek yogurt). Your tree sounds amazing!

I looked at the cost for WW earlier -- online only has nearly doubled -- glad I dropped it before the price increase! My big puzzlement is why they have decided to drop fiber as a criterion. Weird.

Got silver sparkly nails and will go red sparkly for Christmas. Why not?

Best news today -- my niece Julie (Caleb's mom) called. Caleb is being baptized the 20th in Ann Arbor, and the night before is her husband's family's annual Christmas party, which I've heard is great fun. Terrific people, spirited card games, etc. Need to find an ugle Christmas sweater for it -- even Caleb will have one! So I will drive up Saturday and home Sunday after the post-baptism brunch, be home for a couple of days, then back up for Christmas. Can't be up there the whole duration but gas is cheap and I like to drive (only six hours each way). I need to get a Marriott night in this year to keep my points anyway so that will work out perfectly. Can't wait to see them all. Hope I can wear glasses without my splint or taping them above my nose by then!

Legs are still pretty sort but improving. Ran a few errands and going to relax this evening -- tired but mellow.

Hi gang! Quick check in while I had the computer out after getting home and unloaded. I finished shopping for bedding, Christmas and bought some super-sale clothes for both Dave and myself. You should have seen the truck - I couldn't have fit another thing in that cab and it's even one with a back seat!

I haven't been to FB yet to look for today's post about the new WW, but will share it to the group when I do.

Karla - When is you're regular WI day? You won't have access to track with the new system until that day this week.

Good Morning, Ladies.....I'm having the upstairs hallway, stair steps carpet cleaned this morning. Our son's dog "staked his territory" when they were down for Thanksgiving. I was not happy about what happened, but in the big picture, it's just carpet and I thoroughly enjoyed their visit. I tried to clean it the best I could and also used a product from the vet's office. I just want the make sure it's clean.

PATTI: I agree with you on cancelling WW membership. I know they are always changing which is good, I'm just happy that MFP is free and gives good information.

KARLA: Thanks for the information about % of Carbs, Proteins, Cholesterol, and Fat. Was sugar mentioned?

    Have a great day!

    Hi Ladies-
I have a vacation day today and Emily and I are baking holiday treats- chex mix and lots of cookies. She'll be here about 9-
Patti- I hope Edd recovers soon it does sound like he's on the mend. I have your Mom's card ready for the mail tomorrow. Did you get the books?
Karla- I just heard on the news your weather is supposed to be very warm this weekend- so you won't need socks :)
Janet- Its wonderful you are close to your niece and her extended family- maybe you would feel comfortable posting a picture of you and caleb?
Bert- I dont' blame you about getting the carpet super clean..
Suzi- You were the shopping queen by the sounds of your trip - thank you for keeping us updated on the changes to WW. After hearing the price has doubled I am pleased to be on this site. I'm putting the money from my old membership into new clothes fund. As in 2016 I will make my goal!

Actually I would like to offer up a challenge to use all- if you'd like to participate jump in.
How can we structure something so that we can each stay focused on our health and food and exercise plans for 2016. I think it will take us to do something each month.
Let's talk about this- its time we follow Miss Janet's success and reach our goals.
    I'll be back later.

Cindy- I was just thinking we have lost our mojo of mini challenges, personal challenges, today's topic and quotes!! I have just been so busy this week I have not posted any for us. I am glad you brought this up. You are absolutely correct, we all need to get on the bandwagon and do what we know we have to do on a consistent basis to lose weight!! I'm in!

I was so wore out from going strong from 4am until 11p last night I slept in until after 7 this morn. I am warming my green bean casserole and finish packing my goody bag of treats for my ladies at the Eye Clinic. Today is our Christmas Party at noon. I bought a nice peppermint body gel and body lotion in a neat caddie from Pier 1. I love that place. I made two batches of the reindeer bark, it is so easy and so festive. Let me know if you want the recipe.

I better get my hair dried and on the road,
    Karla

A quick good morning to you.

Suzi, sounds like you were ace ninja shopper. Good for you!

Bert, I'd have the carpet cleaned roo, just for peace of mind.

Karla, I know you really like the eye clinic. Have fun.

Patti, will get a card off to your mom.

Cindy, check for books is in the mailbox for pickup. The price increase shocked me. Frankly, I am surprised that our cancellations haven't triggered any sort of follow up attempt at retention or even the most basic understanding of why we left. Sure does not make a years-long member feel valued.

Slow start here. Leg incisions are telling me they are healing. Hoping I can get away from the ace bandages next week - they are a big hassle when I move. Nose is tender but that also means healing. Have several early afternoon errands but going to keep it as easy as I can.

Have a great day. Thinking about how we can all rev up for success in the new year.
