Wow! I can't believe I'm actually posting miles on the first day of the month! LOL! I'm trying to take the time to get on (even this late at night) to check in instead of only 2-3 times a month.
I got in a 4 mile walk this morning before work with my pup. It was quite humid but still a good feeling to get out there early in the morning before my crazy day starts at work.
Hope you all had a great Monday!

Good Morning All! I taught my first tax class yesterday, so with the nerves and then trying to figure out all of the new computer systems we are using as instructors, visiting here yesterday did not happen. I have a love/hate relationship with new systems, I love to learn them and see how they improve over the older systems, but I hate not knowing what I am doing. I know, I know, it will get better, I just need a little time to learn.
I'm going to set my goal at 125 miles for August. It's a little bit of a stretch, but taking a walk when I get frustrated is more constructive than screaming at a computer screen, so that's my plan for now.
Started out the month with a 4.5 mile walk.
@leanz Right now I would welcome the snow, but maybe not the grey cold days that come with it. Stay warm!
@clepant I'm so glad your BIL was able to recover from such a major stroke. I hope he continues to do well. Hang in there with your dad, it is never easy to balance everything out. We spent many hours working with my dad's diabetes, heart and kidney specialists to get his medications worked out so his kidney's weren't too stressed, but his heart was OK and yes, he wasn't drowning in his own fluids. And his blood sugar was under control too. It was a lot of work, but well worth it too.
Have a great Tuesday Everyone! And here's to a successful August for all.0 -
3 mile run for me this morning. Yesterday was yoga so no miles. 3/750

@Clepant - That is a lot to deal with. Glad it's going as well as it is. Hope the exercise gives you some stress relief.
I'm in for another 350 in August. Getting off to a slow start with 0 miles but sometimes playing catch up is a good motivator.0 -
Amen! Hope you are feeling better each day!0 -
Thanks for all the positive encouragement folks. Sometimes one just has to let things out. I know that God will never give me more than I can bear. But exercise and gardening does helps a lot Dean.
Aug. 2: Must decide tomorrow if I want to sign up for early entry for my Pgh.Half Marathon in May, to get the big discount. I am trying to figure out if my body will take another long run. I don't know how you do it Janet running all those full marathons.
Adding 11.55 miles today of which I ran 6.55 miles and walked 5 miles
TTD: 21.55 miles

Maybe it's a good thing I dropped to 70 miles. I managed 1 mile on the treadmill after a HIIT class with the oh so energetic, crazy instructor. Burned a few extra calories out of fear, when it appeared that I was the only one showing up for this class at first. I almost hugged the woman who showed up next. I think we ended up with about 8 of us.
