@TAXMOM9093 - Glad to hear your calf is easing up on you enough to get out on it. :)

@TAZZTHATSME - Sorry to hear you're going to be down for a month or two, but we'll be here and leave a light on for you! Plus you can still pop in and say Hi and let us know how you're doing if you get bored.

Feeling much better but I'm still taking it easy on that leg. I have a vacation in the Smoky Mountains in two weeks and I want to be sure I'm OK by then (OK, I do know two weeks isn't very long, but I'm optimistic). At least riding my bike is still an option. Even a sudden rainstorm on my way home yesterday didn't dampen my enthusiasm for moving some way. (Although it was pretty hard to see with rain running into my eyes).

Added 4.5 miles on the bike and another 1.5 gentle miles walking. August total 46 miles.

You are very kind . I will put 5-10 miles for those two months . Do not want to lose my streak . I know I will have to more , just can not go crazy . I just join the gym , but i can put membership on hold until I get better . My needed surgery came up quickly , so taking the bull by the horn , I told the doctor do it and get it over with
    Thanks again Dave

My computer is messed up and I cannot open my ticket on my phone so here is my last three days of mileage.
Adding 41.79 miles for Aug 10: 7.5 miles of walking, Aug. 11: 10 miles of cycling 5 and walking 5 miles and Aug. 12: 24.29 miles of cycling 20.29 miles and walking 4 miles.

    TTD: 148.53 miles

Taxmom: Take it easy on the calf. You do not want to make it worse. I have some tendon issues so I backed off all running till it is feeling better.

Tazzythatsme: Sure hope all goes well with your surgery. We will be here when you are ready to start back. Your well being is most important.

Yesterday was babysitting ALL 3 grandsons. A 14 hour day that included doing their dishes, their laundry, weedeating around their yard, cooking & getting them bathed & ready for bed...
This USE to be a piece of cake! LOL The two younger ones are whiners & that about drove me nuts!!! Needless to say I did not get in any miles!
But today I walked with my furries 3 miles & rode ex bike 8 before we go to an evening wedding.

Last week was a bit different for me as my DDD is expecting our first grandchild any day now, and she is also a 1st Grade Teacher. We were in her classroom last week setting up for the sub who will be coming in to cover for her when school starts this coming Wednesday. Since it's too hot in the afternoon for her, we went right after I walked in the morning. I didn't get in any biking miles or exercise DVDs done. I felt like I was cheating!! It was funny!

Today was normal. Walked w/DH then got on the recumbent for 13.75 miles in 51 mins and an episode of Ray Donovan then worked out to a 30 min kettlebell DVD.

    08/11 - 7.28 miles
    08/12 - 1.59 miles
    08/13 - 6.13 miles
    08/13 - 13.75 bike miles

Hope everyone has a fun Sunday!

Congratulations to Tazzythatsme on making goal. Sorry you'll be out of commission.

Vhuber - makes me tired just thinking about it!

Sussexbythesea - glad you're able to get around a little but don't overdo it.

As for me, I haven't moved as much as I'd like but I'm hanging in there, just barely. Tomorrow I'm supposed to run the annual local 5k but it's supposed to be like 100F out so I may be walking.

On Thursday I was doing a ride in two halves. Well I didn't make the second half. There was an accident, there were perimedics, there was Lifeflight to Portland OR and 2 days in the hospital. I am home now, but doc says off the bike for two weeks. Brand new helmet, 2 weeks old. Getting a replacement, Oh well that is what I have a turbo trainer for. I just don't know if I will make 275 mile goal this month. I am going to give it hell for my mileage goal, but I am just not sure how this is going to play out yet.

    08/08 - 01.0 miles walking
    08/09 - 02.0 miles walking
    08/10 - 19.0 miles cycling
    08/11 - 18.0 miles cycling (and crashing)
08/12 - 01.0 miles dragging the nurse around the hospital
08/13 - 01.0 miles walking with my friend slowly

    Total: 142.0 miles

@anaconda469: Oh my...ouch and double ouch! I am glad you are okay....but gal two nasty accidents would make me think. Be glad for that helmet. My PT told me that my helmet would not save my head going downhill at 48 mph. It made me take a look at the risk and I stopped racing in triathlons. Hope you fell better soon.
