Castle battlements walked, visit to a new Park Run, sailing Regatta and G+T whilst watching the yachts - fabulous (plus an 7lb apparent gain). Then on Sunday I'm flying to Canada for a week.

I had a short day at work yesterday so I was able to go out for multiple walks to build the strength back up in this healing leg. There is a parking area near the bike path that is only about 100 yards from some beautiful woods, so I was also able to get outside some too. I was passed by a couple of nice gentlemen recovering from hip replacement surgery, so clearly I am in no danger of breaking any speed records. Hey, just being able to stand and walk for 30 minutes at any speed is a victory, so I am happy with that.
Added 3 miles for an August total of 54.25 miles
@Tazzythatsme Yes, sitting still is REALLY hard. I am lucky to be healing quickly, but reminding myself that I might only be able to walk 1/4 or 1/2 mile at a time safely is HARD. I have to keep remembering that if I push too hard now, I might not be able to enjoy my upcoming vacation, or worse, it might keep me off my feet for a very long time.1 -

Aug16: 26.55 miles today of which 16.55 miles are an hour of ex bike and 10 miles of hot sweaty walking too.
TTD: 258.45 miles
Okay..asking to kick my goal up to 300 since I made goal early. Should still be able to pass some miles to Susan should she need some.
Going to give it a go at running tomorrow morning and test the right foot.0 -

Work day for me, so less time to walk. Still added 1.5 miles. I'm falling behind, but the leg is healing well, so I should be able to make it up when it is stronger. If I am lucky, I might be able to take the bike out today, but right now it's too rainy out there.
