Howdy y'all. It's fabulous Friday! Based on last night's forecast for today, which is still up, 80 degrees for the high today with 20% chance of rain, starting at 0% then mostly 5% but tapering up and peaking at 20% at noon and 1:00 this afternoon and then tapering back down to 0%.
Was up about 15 minutes early today with good old Charley...but it's mostly gone away now. Off to the salt races after breakfast!

It was 54 Degrees this morning a change to the cooler from yesterdaystemperature. It was comfortable walking however. I walked 8,831 steps today. Yesterday I ended up some what over 11K steps.
I looked at my email and I see a tracking number for my upcoming NS order this morning, that is the good and since it shows tracking for two deliveries That would seem to be the Shelf Stable and Frozen shipping on different dates.

I'm sure I probably followed up yesterday, but on my computer this has begun a new 'page', and if I go back to look, I lose my post. eek!
Still on BP meds...she thinks forever..told me to stop 'fretting about it' (she couched her words very nicely). We'll see about that. Just strengthens my resolve to NOT eat fats or salt. Those are the two primary motivators of BP issues. And IF I believe in all the research, and advice of Dr. John McDougall, and Dr. Essy, etal, I CAN still fix my blood vessels, by removing built up crud, and WILL be able to ditch the BP pills.
Wish me luck. It could be a long haul...like a year or two, but it would be worth it to me.

I'm trying to track an order from Kusmi Tea, ..pricy tea there that Ted especially likes, so its part of his "don't get me anything' birthday 10-25th. Also planning to take him to a nice brunch-ish meal at Sunflower Cafe. Not exactly sure if that is for him, or for me, as I loved it there...AND I did play a major part of his birth!!! So, birthday dinner for us!

I'm not sure what Browser You use for the forum but in the Windows world with FireFox and Internet Explorer and Micrtosofts replacement browser in Windows 10 I can click on the page link and select "Open in New Tab" and have the current page with my post open and switch to the other page to review.
I am sure that weight change affects it and I suspect Age also
I hope Your Shopping was successful and You enjoyed the Gymnastics class.
The only thing I can think of is that NS set up a shipment and got a tracking number and then decided to fulfill from a different location and used the same tracking number and TBH I am not sure if that would work.

It DID rain here! And is still raining, lightly. Just the kind of rain we need, and very welcome, though unexpected. I know Matthew is wreaking havoc elsewhere but I'm pretty sure we have that hurricane to thank for this much needed rain.

Howdy y'all. It's sensational Saturday! About the usual in the weather prediction. Regional orchid judging today so J and I will have to pack up the photography equipment and head in to town. Not a good day for it as too much stuff is going on in the nearby park.
I've been up since a bit before 4:00 but distracted by feeding Lilo, breakfast, and internet.

It was 54 Degrees this morning no change from yesterdays temperature. It was comfortable walking and I walked 9,455 steps today. Yesterday I ended up some what over 11.5K steps.
Yesterday I received my Frozen Delivery and according to the tracking number I should receive the Shelf stable portion of my order today via the USPS. It seems that FedEx has handed it off to the Post Office. I suspect that is due to it being under 8 pounds as that is a first for my regular NS food Deliveries. I say regular food as I have had Missing items come that way in the past.
FWIW I also updated my Weight in the tracking here as it has been down for several days a little lower than what I reported. I prefer to see a several day weight before posting it.

A light steady rain is the best as that way it can soak in and not run off. Good that You got what is needed.

Hockey late morning today. So a little family time. Ted who lives in Midtown, about 2 blocks off of the park is home bound this weekend because of the parking when there are big events in the park. He does bike around to get groceries, or do laundry, etc. Meaning he can leave....but he will not have a parking spot for his car when he returns.
Hope the photography goes smoothly... and that you don't have to carry the equipment very far. (I'm guessing its heavy!)

Howdy y'all. It's scintillating Sunday! Been up for a couple of hours, but distracted by feeding Lilo, feeding me (pork chop, small olive bread stick, cantaloupe) and internet, of course! I need to order a new external backup drive as my current one has failed. These external drives don't seem to last too long.
The photography wasn't bad yesterday, we had to shoot four award winners. Most of the equipment is moved on a collapsible hand truck. It's the setting up and tearing down of the "studio" that is time consuming and tedious, but we've done it so often that we are pretty efficient at it. Yesterday a friend who happened to be there tried to help with the set up but really she hindered more than she helped...
Laundry and indoor watering to do today.
High of 82 expected with 0% chance of rain.

It was 64 Degrees this morning a change to the warmer from yesterdays temperature. It was comfortable walking despite the light rain. I have walked 7,707 steps today. Yesterday I ended up some what over 11K steps.
I expect to have a decent step count today as my brother & I are going to a Historical event later on today. The details are:Weekend Journey at the Van Horne House 2016

Each year The Heritage Trail Association (HTA) along with the Middlebrook Theatrical Society (MTS) fills the house with an event that took place in the house during the revolutionary war.
This year we are celebrating the wedding of Mary Van Horne to Colonel Stephen Moylan of the Moylan Dragoons. Col. Moylan also served as Aide-de-Camp to General Washington, (who may visit over the weekend).
Guided tours with groups of 8 or 10 and lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes will have you participating in the following activities:
Learn about relationships and wooing in the 18th century
Dance the popular dance, ‘Come Haste to the Wedding’ with live music –we will teach you! THE place to practice your wooing skills just learned!
Learn about wedding rites and rituals from our magistrate, John Jacob Faisch
The Reception of course, with punch from an 18th century recipe, cookies and be prepared to ‘Toast the happy couple’ (this house is not known as Convivial Hill for nothing!)
Horse races to celebrate the happy couple will occur with prizes to the winners As always, we have lots to do and treats for the kids. Come dressed in period clothes, or modern day duds, but DO NOT miss this party, one of a great many thrown by Phillip Van Horne and his wife, Elizabeth as they celebrate the marriage of their eldest daughter to an Irish officer of the Revolution.
And yes, this actually did occur in this house September 12th, 1778!

Sorry...GA Navigator is a web site that shows all the major road ways and how fast/slow the traffic is moving, where there are accidents, road construction, etc. It also has all the camera's so you can click on the camera icon on whatever part of the road map you'd like to get a real time visual on, and it shows traffic moving/or not moving. I have it on my laptop, but it also has an app...I've just never put it on my phone.
Just checked in with the hockey family, and Jack and Nate will be at the rink...so chances are pretty good that Grammie will be making a return trip tomorrow. Its nuts that I do that, but .... that's what Grams do, either that or I could blame it on senility!
fb posts, Hilton Head Island S. Carolina is closed. no access onto the island, and if you leave you can't come back....lots of downed trees, spotty wireless, lots of electric outages...but the causeway connecting to the mainland survived...so that's a good thing. Glad I won't have to be on island until mid March. Not heard a word about St. Simons though, and I'm scheduled to be there in about 12 days!

I wonder if we have something like that here in one location. I do know that We can access the traffic cameras via the Internet. For traffic I have listened to a local Trenton station that covers most of the state with a a good FM signal. From their website: NJ1015.com, the website of New Jersey 101.5, WKXW-FM Radio, with the best news, weather and traffic coverage in New Jersey.
I am not surprised that things all along the Southern end of the Eastern seaboard are in poor shape. I guess You could call and see if Your lodgings will be open and maybe the local or state police ahead of time, Just in case.

Tonight’s dinner: Pan sautéed pork chops. Acorn squash with butter, Splenda brown sugar baking mix, and cinnamon as a side/dessert.
Wine of choice: Amancay Torrentes Reserva, 2014, Argentina. This fruity white wine paired beautifully with the food.
For J I made a hash of potatoes O’Brien and scrambled eggs with faken on the side.0 -

It was 50 Degrees this morning a change for the colder from yesterdays temperature. It was Somewhat comfortable walking except when the gentle breeze blew. I walked 7958 steps today. I may end up turning on the heat in the near future as the house is starting to run cold. The Living Room was at 64 degrees when I returned from my walk.
As expected I had a decent step count Sunday due to my brother & I going to a Historical event. I reached over my minimum goal of 10K steps for the day

The gentle rain ended Yesterday around noon, Parts of Southern NJ got up to a inch of rain, I guesstimate we got 1/2 to 1/4 of that amount. A bit of a shame as Northern NJ is where the rain shortfall for the year is the worst and the rain amounts lessened the further north You were in the state.
Today's forecast high is a whopping 60 degrees

I looked up psoas, as I was not familiar with it.
Hmmm... I wonder if that is the source of the intermittent pain I feel when walking?
It is a possibility based on what I saw when I looked it up. If so it could explain the sharp pain in the groin area. If that is possible for one side only of course. It has gotten better however so I am keeping an eye on it.
I feel the pain shortly after starting out and then it abates to a sort of there pain but not crippling fortunately.

It was 43 Degrees this morning a change for the colder from yesterdays temperature. It was So-So for comfort walking, I tried out the Electric Hand warmer today. It worked OK, It would have done a better job if I had used mittens so it could nestle down by the fingers rather than the gloves I wore. I walked 8,065 steps today. I ended up turning on the heat as the house is cold this morning, the Living Room is at 60 degrees
Later today We will be going out back and bagging up plant materials from the parts of the garden that have gone by earlier and pulling some more that have reached the end of the line. What is left that is still growing are the Eggplants although what is on them is likely to be all there is. The Beets and Sweet potatoes which are most likely done growing too as the leaves are starting to turn. The Tomatoes seem to be finished too.
I had a decent step count Monday reaching my minimum goal of 10K+ steps for the day

It was 49 Degrees this morning a change to the warmer from yesterdays temperature. It was comfortable walking and due to unforseen circumstances I walked 4435 steps today. Yesterday I ended up with 10.5K steps.
I did get my shopping done at the Grocery Store, 4 Bananas, 4 Honey Crisp Apples, 3 Mineola Oranges and 2 D'Anjou Pears and a 10% discount

Roger, bagging all the 'died, dying, and done' refuse in the garden is a big job! You need a compost pile! Will you put down a layer of straw on the naked garden? or a cover crop like annual rye grass or clover? Something I've never actually done, and always wish I had in the early spring. Makes for good garden soil. Turn in under about 2-3 weeks before you plan to plant, and it is great fertilizer. Also was wondering what if any 'winterizing' your raspberries and blackberries will need in NJ. Down here not much. Grapes, fruit trees, and such get a pruning in late Jan or early Feb...sometime before they 'wake up' for the spring. (roses too)

My brother and I discussed a Compost Pile and the problem is where would it go. The Plan is to Rototill the Straw or maybe it was Hay into the soil where the plants were.
I do not think the Blackberries or Raspberries need any protection in NJ. I know that they do fine in the wild around here, Or at least the Gooseberries and Blackberries used to when I was in High School before the area where they were was turned into Aparments and Town Houses
The Raspberries that are around the Brooks do fine too as far as wintering over. What will need protection is the Fig trees.

We should be so lucky to be that warm, if we were then I could have left the heat off and saved some money.
I do not think I ever saw Pork Cube Steak in the store. I am guessing it is similar to the Cube Steak they sell that is Beef, I suspect it is usually a tougher cut of beef too.

It was in the 50s this morning a change to the warmer from yesterdays temperature. I won't be walking today. long story for another day so I'm siting here drinking my coffee made with a store bought blend of Decaf & Regular coffee. The rest of today's coffee is in a Thermos Bottle From my Brother. Since I had added that to the unused portion of the previous can of coffee I'm going to call it 1/4 Decaf and 3/4 Regular Coffee. For ease of use when I open a can I pour it into the Big can I use to hold it.
Today is not all that bright out and as it approaches 8AM the front porch is only running 53 degrees.

I'm sorry to hear that happened. I'm not sure what You do regarding what they got in the hack. I do not think You can change the Social Security Number or You address. I guess You could change and Credit Card numbers they might have gotten.
I guess we can chalk that up to fail for HIPPA protecting You. I believe that applies to most if not all doctors and health providers.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to You. Good Luck dealing with the fallout. Are they offering free credit monitoring service, Not that I am sure that can really help. I do think that You can put some sort of lock on Your Credit Report from the Big three agencies.

That is the same reason I put the heat on the other day, As You say no sense being miserable.
You do seem to have nice Neighbors, always a blessing.
I'm not sure if they have timers You can attach to the faucet and plug into a outside outlet for power or maybe battery powered? Either way if they are outside above ground I would think they have to be brought into the house or well drained for freezing weather.
That sounds like a enjoyable Breakfast. I suspect a Hot cereal tonight.
When it starts getting this cold I feel it in my fingers first. You might think I'd also feel it in my feet, Nope. Hence the had warmers to go in the mittens

Back and posing before nap time with Lilo. J is finishing off his roasted veggie and cheese tamales, and I ate a can of soup.
My Kroger store occasionally makes pork cube steak. I'm not sure what cut they make it from, but they are quite good when cooked up. I lucked out on finding three packages (three steaks each) in the "used meat" rack and they were marked down enough to be almost a steal! Two packages remain in the freezer and the first package was sautéed in ghee with just salt, pepper, and crushed rosemary. No breading at all, though I know most people dredge these sorts of things in seasoned flour. That package came out delicious.
I might smother the next package in a can of cream of mushroom soup. I like pork chops made that way and I think it would work well with the cube steaks, adding a bit of garlic, some onion perhaps, pepper, rosemary and hot paprika. Or anything else that pops into my head. LOL!
Italian seasoning would probably work well in that too.

Ah...dinner complete.
Tonight’s dinner: Vegetarian Chili Taco Salad, made with Azteca taco salad shells (the BEST!), home made spicy hot vegetarian chili, shredded lettuce, home made honey mustard dressing, diced tomato, Kroger Private Select hot habanero salsa, home made guacamole, and Kroger shredded Mexican style cheese.
Wine of choice: Diseño Old Vine Malbec, 2014, Argentina. A little bit stronger on the tannins than what I’ve been drinking lately, but it worked well with the food. I didn’t wait for the food to start drinking it… :P
