3500 @ 75 minutes. Note to self, don't try and breathe water...not a good idea.2

Swam 2.5km in 68 minutes. I always do one length crawl then one length breast stroke just to work all the muscles. Oh and thanks for the heads up on the group Monte.2

Yes Welcome to the water rats @xDesertxRatx
Adult Swim Club started up for November last night 60 minutes of drills.
One of my favorite 60 strokes Time-distance.
When we started I said 1:10-1:14 and 62 - 69m.
They laughed but all 3 sets were 2m of the distance and at the pace I stated. .
Didn't take notes but lots of Kick, Pull, drill and then swim lengths for each stroke. Probably 2000m based on Avg swims in the club.1 -

Ha HA. No such rule at the pool I swim at in China. I'm not fast but I pass almost everyone in that pool. One woman doing a very slow breast stroke I passed every other lap but she didn't even have to good sense to get out of the 'fast' lane. Most of the time I was passing people every 3 or 4 laps.1 -
Yesterday: 3000 yds, 70 minutes. Haven't done that distance in almost two months and it felt great!1

During the warmdown my coach told me that my freestyle technique needs fixing. He thinks I overextend especially on my right arm and is going to video me on Saturday to show me how bad my stroke is!1 -

Noon Hour Splash and Dash.
All Breast - 500m and Backstroke - 500m.
One of the Swimmers in the Fast lane definitely needs to see the Sign posted by @Montepulciano . I am a slowwww backstroker and I would pass him every 6 lengths. Which is tricky on backstroke when you can't see where the other swimmers are in the cycle. Waited for the wall and front crawled past him then rolled over to BS.1 -
Thanks @emmab0902
Maybe i should. Gym yesterday but hitting the pool again today after my first ever pilates class if i still have any energy left.2 -
2500 yds, 58 minutes. Light rain and only one other swimmer way over on the other side of the pool. Very nice.1

3500 yards, 73 minutes. Pool victory for me today, 5 x 100 pull on the 1:45 all below 1:30. Did I mention I love a good pull set?1

Adult Swim Club. All Drills incorporated 3 strokes, Crawl, Breast and Back.
200m Warmup 50 kick 50 swim
4 sets
25m Tomb Stone kick & 50m Pull = 75m x 3 (Fr,Bk,Br) = 225m x 4 = 900m
When you are at 1100m and only on your first set its going to be a killer workout!!
50m Fr, Bk, Br x 4 = 600m
Started in the Middle of the pool so we would have to do 2 turns/25m and swim away from the end of the pool. A practise of turns.
200m Front Crawl relay - 50m Tag out and wait for swimmer to get there 50m done. A play on the above drill with 4 turns.
200m cool down choice = 2100m.
We have done more but Tomb stones are brutal.1 -
What is Tomb Stone Kick?0

2600 yds, 58 minutes. Three days in a row!1

3700m 90 minutes with masters
600 warm up
6x100 IM on 2 min
6x (25+50+75) on 1min per 50m
4x100 kick on 2:30
10 x 100 free on 1:45 with paddles and pullbuoys
200 cool down
The 10 100s at the end were killer! My teammates were dropping like flies! I managed to hold on and even descend the last two.

I got 40 min in before class again yesterday. As usual, it was the last 1/3 of my workout before I felt in the swing. I really need to try to get there earlier so that the last 1/3 is longer than 10-15 min. The first 10-15 are brutal sometimes. My muscles aren't warmed up. My arms and legs are acting like they are on separate bodies controlled by separate brains. The second 1/3 is better, but that's usually when I grab some kind of equipment to remind my body to stay flat. Then it all comes together at the end, and before I know it, it's time for the cardio class. I could move to a different lane and keep swimming laps, but each activity I do really complements the others, so I'm reluctant to give anything up.2
