Wow guys, way to keep up our pace on this long holiday week!! I'm so proud of all of you!! I'm gonna try to chase down the non-loggers, bump us up even more!!
Back to reality tomorrow and my semi-normal schedule. I'm still dog sitting at my moms until Wednesday, and in 9 days I'm headed to Costa Rica for my honeymoon!8 -
@SmashleyM914: we are on a similar count down. 7 days until we go on our first kid free vacation. Can't wait.
Great job team! I will log more minutes next week..4 -
So I have been thinking and thinking all week of something than the obvious that I am Thankful for. One of my first thoughts was this group. When I dont want to exercise, or eat right, I think of this group and the challenges and it motivates me.5
-
I had more time this week to be active than normal, which is good. I am trying to lose weight. I truly believe more exercise is the key to success. For the most part, I've got the eating part down but it's not working on its own. I've stepped up the activity level since joining this challenge, and I've been focusing on not eating back the calories I'm exercising. I hope the scale will eventually start dropping some pounds. We shall see.3

THE NEW DESTINATION IS UP AND RUNNING!
THE SPREADSHEET WILL FOLLOW SOON!
HAPPY RACING EVERYONE!1 -
WEEK 7 SPREADSHEET IS UP!2

We were number 3 last week. Great! My bags are packed and I am ready to go to Peru. Not sure about climbing down those steps in Peru. Good gravy! Getting the stairs challenge done may be the biggest challenge. If I can get about 300 stair steps done for six days, I'll get it done. Certainly don't want to leave that til the end. Let's go team!4
-
Good morning team!
Oh how I wish the step challenge was next week. I will be on a cruise ship walking steps all week. Oh well, I guess I will get my legs prepared for steps this week
The logging challenge is also good for me. I just spent 2 days not logging anything. First time in 3 months. That will get me back on track.
Have a great Monday!

Week 7 team! I feel like this challenge is going far too quickly I always feel like the time between challenges goes so slowly and these things really keep me going!
I'm grateful for the stair challenge this week, I'm still at my moms house and she's got 3 levels so much more stairs than I have! The more stairs done at home, the less time on that dang stair master!
I'm truly sick of the awful elliptical at my moms house. It's creaky, squeaky, and just horrible! I miss the gym!!
Happy Monday friends, let's try to get into 2nd place!! It'll be hard, but I have faith!!4 -
129 stairs before I left my moms house to head to work this morning4

So cool that we are still in 3rd place. Yay team! I've been doing some calculations over the last few weeks and if we all just did about 40 extra minutes of exercise this week we would be in first place. That number has been pretty consistent each week too. Although one week it was only like 20 extra minutes per person. So really an extra 10 minutes each day and we take over first place. Just a thought.
Now with that being said I have absolutely no, none, zero, zip, nada motivation today.4 -
@darcijojo: love the calculations. I will do my best to add extra exercise this week.
I am on track today. I have run, did yoga, the 10 minute bonus videos, and one of the dance videos.
I love love the dance videos this week! They are fun. Getting me in the mood for vacation next week. I am thinking I may buy the upgraded internet package so that I can check in. I probably won't be able to update my spreadsheet (because I will not have access to my computer on Monday) but since it is the last week, I would really like to stay involved. I am really really happy that this is a stay under calorie count week, so next week won't be.3 -
@darcijojo is that 40 minutes total a day, or an extra 40 minutes?
0 -
@novten82 40 for the whole week.
@lpeltenburg Thank you. Just something I have done every week and thought I'd share.
After posting about my lack of motivation I got dressed, laced up my shoes, stuck my tunes in my ears and walked almost 5 miles. I guess the best way to combat the lack of drive is to just suck it up and do it.6 -
Hi Team- Happy Monday
@darcijojo - Thanks for the calculation. I will try and do my part.
The stair challenge made me laugh. I just climbed up and down the stairs at work 20 times. Unfortunately there are are only 9 stairs in each set. I'm aiming for doing 200 per day.
I need to keep under calories after last week. I am happy for that challenge.
The dances look fun so that should be the easy one.
Good luck everyone!3 -
@darcijojo thank you for sharing that!! That's so awesome and definitely motivating!!
I'm getting lots of minutes today. I've decided, with only 3 more days left at my moms, to do a deep clean of my house since we aren't staying here so if something doesn't get finished it's no biggie cuz I'll still have a clean bed to sleep on. Not sure why I decided this now, but I did and I've started so no turning back now haha.2 -
as @darcijojo says...just suck it up and go. Im sucking it up and going...
Currently dragging myself to the gym kicking and screaming....5 -
@novten82 the gym isn't my favorite spot, and I like my gym. My favorite, though, is being outdoors. That said - the gym can be effective. Keep dragging yourself. Some days I have to drag myself to walk - and I LOVE Walking. I just get lazy and want to sit on my behind instead of walking. That isn't going to help me reach my goals. If needed I trick myself into doing what I need to do. Challenges like this help.3
-
300 stairs done for day one. Just five more days of 300. Tomorrow, I'm going to tackle StairMaster.3
-
Since I am in SWFL and everything is pretty flat...back to the local university I go for stairs! I HATE the stairmaster at the gym (maybe I just don't like how people stare at the people using the stairmaster..)2
-
It feels good to be back to a normal life. No more long drives. I would never beable to work downtown Milwaukee. Hour + drive each way is not for me. I got the zumba dances done. Love zumba. I also did some hooping while I watched the videos. I will be working on those stairs today. I have 1 day to make up so I will be hitting it hard.
BTW anyone else not weighed in because their weight went up?? I am happy with the calorie count this week. There was so many deserts over the last few days. You almost feel bad for not helping eat them. I need to get kicking some but.

Hi all!
I was going to head to the gym for the stair climber thingy, but it is just too nice outside, so I ran & came home to do Yoga.
I will do my best to finish the dances today. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I will tackle the steps then.
I do not like that step thing. It is so high. Last year I couldn't figure out how to turn the damn thing off, so I jumped.. I know how to turn it off now so it is less scary. lol2 -
I've just been jotting notes down every couple times I did a set of stairs, moms are 14 steps for each level and at home it's 16. I just added them alll up and I'm at 472 already! Coolio.4
-
This is going to be a challenging week. I have a little more than a week before a fundraising luncheon. I am determined to find some exercise time.3
-
@fittbug92 I can relate. Do your best. I hate when life takes over I am kicking it up this week because I was a slacker last week. I got those calories tracked tonight
1 -
550 stairs done and completed the videos today. I've also been under my calorie goal both days. I started week 2 of the C25k today and was pretty sure I was going to die. Running is hard. I did complete the work out though and will try again in a few days. Lots of blanks on the spreadsheet. I hope everyone is working out and just hasn't had time to fill it in. I'll try to not panic yet.5
-
I did one of the dance videos this morning but didn't have time for my full workout this morning. I jumped on my stair stepper this evening. Stairs are more than done! Calories are on track for the last two days.5
-
Two videos done. 600 stairs done. Now to finish the rest and get in some walking. Going to gym after work to burn off anxiety. Let's go Team!!3
-
I am counting on my fitbit to count flights of stairs. I had to charge it this morning so when I ran upstairs for something I thought -dang- When I went back downstairs I saw my boots that needed to go upstairs so I grabbed my boots and my fitbit. I need to remember to add extra flight
3 -
Hi all!
I started the stairs today. I had thought I would finish, but only managed 70 flights... 67 more hellish flights to go. LOL.. I find it SOOOO hard. My heart rate was super high, sweat dripped on the machine. Not my prettiest moment. I will finish tomorrow. As much as I hate it, I have to admit, it is a darn good workout.2
