Kickboxing done!
1 foot massage video done!
Trying to decide on 3rd challenge.
150 minutes today!5 -
Foot videos 1 & 2 done. So relaxing. But I'm very ticklish on my feet so it was a little hard to relax all the way. And it seems I need a pedicure!! Haha. Still thinking about the food to try. Blood oranges are at the store. So that's another option. I think I'm going to just stroll the grocery store and see what I find. Chicken gizzards or turkey neck come to mind too. Both look gross but are supposed to be good.

Okay... I'm back.
Was a really tough week. Just got back from a funeral.
Last Sunday my business partner and best friend of 25 years suddenly passed away. He was 59, fit, healthy, strong, ate well, remarkably athletic. It was eye opening. If it can happen to him, it can happen to anyone. A blood clot let loose and blocked a critical artery in his lung. He leaves behind his wife and two grown sons.
Live life well!
This (Amazing Race) is the stuff that enriches each of us in a small silly way, but in aggregate makes a life well lived.
Besides... life is so much better active.
Thanks @hawkins410 ...
I'm planning on nailing it this week. Let's keep our lead.

Thanks....
I love challenge 2. Hands feet head.... they are all awesome.
The only food I really despise is Brussel sprouts. Don't think I've tried them for 20 years or so. Bug option looks promising.
I wonder if my gym has drop-in kickboxing? That might be fun. It's going to be a good week!
Let's rock!5 -
For anyone considering Brussel sprouts - I love them , just don't over cook them or they turn to mush !!3

Try roasting your sprouts with bacon, onions, mushrooms, garlic and some bacon grease. Totally my favorite veggie as well!!
Edited to add: oops, should have kept reading as roasting had already been suggested.1 -
@Vowder, I'm so very sorry for the loss you've suffered. Scary, too, as he seemed to be doing everything right, health wise. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends find peace as well.3

I bought some white asparagus - that'll be my something new! Anybody know how to make it or a good recipe for it?2

@hawkins410 and @MissionEnforcer, I just have to thank you guys. I've been in many challenges before but this is probably the best run, most well thought out, best organized that I've seen. And to have the focus be on activity rather than weight loss is perfect. You guys do a phenomenal job and I just wanted to recognize and thank you for all of your hard work and dedication. You guys rock!!3

Goodmorning All
@vowder sorry for your loss my thoughts are with you and your loved ones. Probably there will be expect a lot of you the next few weeks so take good care of yourself so you can be there for others to.You are always our ROCK.
I now have no sense to be funny or hang out the clown.
Ofcourse I want to wish everybody a happy valentine's day because that is going about love ....and love must always be spread. I'm not a unnamed person (hope this is correct I had to use google translate) but it is important to say this words to your love ones so do this!!
If it is you husband, your wife, your children, your father and mother or closed friends don't feel shame but tell them you love them ofcourse only if you real meant them

@Vowder so sorry for your loss1

@vowder, I'm so sorry for your loss. How devastating to all his loved ones when he was doing everything right.
Happy Valentines Day to all my lovely teammates! We don't do anything for it here. Hubby and I are probably the least romantic people I know! I will make a lovely dinner for him and our son who lives with us though.
One foot massage done and boy did it feel good!2 -
Hey Team - great job on our win last week. It was amazing to see everyone get the points for the challenges. WOW!
Vowder - ditto the sentiments of everyone else. Please take care of yourself.
I am really glad to see everyone sharing ideas of what to try because I am also not sure.
Roasted brussel sprouts are good, as mentioned above. I like to add a little cajun seasoning with olive oil to mine.
I did one of the foot message videos last night.....it was great!
Have a wonderful Tuesday.4 -
HUGS TO EACH ONE OF YOU!5 -
Dropped my daughter at the airport at 4:45 am this morning, went to the gym and pounded out 90 minutes on the treadmill.
My wife said she would make a salad with some "uncooked brussel sprouts" in it. Hmm.... will have to see.
Can't wait for the foot massage.
Learned that there is a kickboxing class on Thursday's at 11:30am. Tough time for me but I think I am going to try to make it.

After watching the Thai videos this morning... I can't wait to get there. What amazingly good looking and genuine smiles!

On a lighter note – going out to lunch with office peeps. We are going to a Chinese buffet. (Watch out water weight!) The office gets to try to find something I don’t want to eat. I see squid ceviche in my future.
Per someone else's suggestion, I am hoping they have a nice golden beet, lightly roasted with feta or blue cheese topping. I hate liver and I hate beets. So far these are only foods I have found that I really detest. Liver makes me gag. Beets just taste like dirt, but 'they' say the golden beets are better.
