Challenge # 3
I left behind my caffeinated coffee successfully for 5 days. This was very difficult as I'm already crazy exhausted and need to be fully functioning at work. However, I did stick with it. I had pretty bad headaches the first 2 days. I thought about grabbing an energy drink for last night in case my husband was wanting to stay up but decided that defeats the purpose. Tonight I was more nervous about that and bought one but didn't drink it. I am super excited to be able to drink my full caffeine stuff tomorrow though. Although I would like to try harder at weaning down to less caffeine overall and this proves I can do it.3 -
Challenge 1
I completed the 2.5k Frostbite Footrace.
I completed this by walking outside since it was so nice outside today.3 -
Challenge 3
I was successfully able to give up drinking soda this week. I think it was the only reason i didn't gain weight seeing as I didn't get as much exercise and my diet was a little worse than usual.1 -
Challenge #3
I gave up soda for the past 5 days.
After the intial headache I now have more energy and have been drinking more water.1 -
@cjborkowski - Check the spreadsheet, I think I accidentally entered my points on your space.
@MissionEnforcer - I did complete challenge #2 by leaving behind all the hard candy for 6 days.0 -
@cjborkowski FYI you need to write challenge 3 like I did above your post per rules to get points1
-
Everybody make sure you go back and check the spreadsheet! If you have any red numbers, it means your challenge has been rejected (probably because they want you to re-format it to match the examples) and you have to resubmit it on this thread to get credit! Check out the example for Challenge#3 from @energyseeker a few posts above this.0

Challenge #3
I gave up creamer in my morning coffee.
It was nice to save the 70-ish calories every day. It also felt good to go back to the way I first statted drinking my coffees: all black! I will still indulge myself every once in a while with a little coffee in my creamer but I enjoy having those extra calories for the important things, like dessert!1 -
Challenge #1
I chose the 10.49 IDITAROD.
While I was planning doing it all at once, my week ended up being crazy so I spaced it out over the week. Today, it was cold and windy but my boys and I got outside and put in the final 2.9 miles of the 10.49!
@MissionEnforcer I added my points to the spreadsheet before I posted here. Sorry about the mix up.2 -
I'm going to try to do this again.
Challenge #3. I left behind hard candies.
I had just recently started to eat 6-10 hard candies every evening with my tea. I needed to nip this new habit and I have successfully made 6 days without hard candies.
@MissionEnforcer - can I please have my 5 points now?1 -
I'm not going to be able to do the challenge #1. I'm so sad, it's gorgeous out, sunny and 52. My ankle is so sore and swollen still.0
-
Challenge 1:
I chose the 10.49 Iditarod
I chose this to make sure I pushed myself, I was able to walk outside a few days but with the weather turning cold I finished the rest on the treadmill with a 2.9 mile run today.
Challenge 3:
I have up alcohol this week, we usually eat out a few days during the week and I have a glass of wine. I was able to go 7:7 days without my wine1 -
Challenge #3
I gave up chocolate 6 out of 7 seven days! It was tough, but I did it!!0 -
Challenge #1
I chose the 2.5km frostbite race.
I walked because walking is safer outside during the winter due to the ice. And I also enjoy walking.
Challenge #3
I gave up potato chips.
It was so hard! I fought it all the way until I was driving home from work tonight but I did it. Not sure I will make it a permanent thing - I don't like to remove things I enjoy from my diet. I find when I do that I tend to then binge eat them when I give into a craving. By leaving those items in my diet I am more likely to eat smaller portions and stay within my calorie allotment.2 -
Challenge #1 5k Frostbite Footrace although in Phoenix there was no frostbite. I walked while volunteering on a Festival delivering ice to booths. I made it as frosty as I could get ;p2

CHALLENGE #3.
No high calorie drinks (lattes, cappuccinos). I missed them but didn't miss the high cost and my wallet is happy.3 -
Challenge #3 I gave up milk chocolate all 7 days due to loving it too. During time of the month
It was really hard but I did it ....hope we have a great week2 -

Sorry guys. Just got access to wifi. Been without for a couple of days. Tried to text some of my info to another team member to hopefully get posted but not sure if it got through. I gave up chocolate for five days and only had one day that I really felt like giving in. Was sipping red wine and kept thinking about the chocolate in the fridge, but I did resist.0

@jamaicanlady - I hope you have lots of room at your place, because Team 2 is headed your way!2
-
Woohoo...headed to visit Tameika!! Didn't have a chance to do any of the videos today but hopefully can get them in tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. Then to figure out what to do with a spice. Have a great week Team 2 Beat!2

I did the more gentle workout video and it was fun. I counted as "belly dancing " in my calorie count because that's what it seemed like. Tried again to put on walking shoes. Still ouch.
I was in Jamaica in February 2016 and did Dunns Falls. I must find my souvenir Jamaica footies to wear oh so fashionably with my sandals this week.1 -
This week will be a fun one! Really looking forward to having lower impact challenges, especially since my knee has been getting worse and worse. All the walking made last week's challenges challenging.1
-
Challenge #3. I chose the spice ginger. I googled healthy recipes using ginger and cauliflower steaks popped up. The combination of ginger and other spices was tasted, never had cauliflower steaks before.
5 -
Challenge #3
I chose the spice Thyme.
I used it on my oven roasted Brussell Sprouts. I like the combination of flavours together.
On a side note I regularly grated some ginger root into my hot water, lemon and honey. It adds a nice spice.2 -
Wow, Healthy Breakfasts!
