Ugh mine was 273 when I got up this morning. I believe the chocolate peanut butter milk shake might have had something to do with it.

skipping meals... sometimes i skip lunch. usually when i had a large heavy breakfast (think belfast fry up or full english breakfast) or when i simply am so busy with work that i forget to eat. for instance yesterday i was stupid busy, my FBG was 108, when i checked it before dinner it was 74, oddly for me i was not showing side effects, perhaps i am getting better acclainated to lower (below 100) levels.

Pretzel crisps and roasted red pepper dip overload.
    this morning 283 (15.7) Two hours later(after insulin kicked in) 7.5 (135).

Skipping meals, Like you Jim, sometimes I run out the door to do a 'small errand' and three hours later I realize I've skipped lunch or supper. My sugars are either rock bottom or soaring through the roof. Doesn't seem to work very well for me to skip a meal. That said, I don't have breakfast until 10:00 in the morning, so technically, it's brunch.

    Lifted from a smarter friend...

The idea behind eating less frequently has to do with tapping into fat storage between the insulin responses that follow eating. You can't burn significant body fat when insulin is triggered to deal with food (especially carbs and, to a lesser extent, excess protein). If you can allow your body time between meals, you can lower your insulin level and begin to burn body fat.

    For example.

3 meals a day. No snacks.

203 today - at least everything is staying consistent - I need to get some regular exercise going. That would make a difference!

    5.3 (~95)

Better than normal. I'm usually around a 6-6.5.
