Another day done. Today was a good day. Started off with a loss on the scale. Hunger was not that bad today and I am feeling good about the OMAD way of eating and my progress. Below is my meal of the Day. I was inspired to do a wrap after viewing all of the other wrap meals posted by fellow OMADers.

Hello everyone. Feeling pretty good today. This mornings weigh in showed a loss of 0.4lbs. Small loss but I'll take it. Today will be an extended fast day so no meal today. Tomorrow is my 17 year Wedding Anniversary <3<3<3 and the plan is to have Breakfast and Dinner out with the hubby. I ate my meal last night closer to 7pm so I am looking at a 37 hour extended fast if we have breakfast at 8am. Then we will have dinner at my regular meal time of 6pm.

I like the idea of just eating breakfast and dinner. Once I get to goal, I think I will make that part of my eating plan along with some OMAD days. I think the extended time between meals will be good for maintenance. Let me know what you think.

My only concern with the breakfast / dinner plan is that I could never do it! :)

As soon as I start eating in the day, that's it, I want more... That's why OMAD works so well for me - if I don't have the first bite, I don't even think about food until I'm truly hungry much later in the day.

If that doesn't happen to you, it would probably be all good though.

    Good evening everyone,

Today is my first extended fast and so far it is going well. I had to overcome the family already. They said that eating a salad and some meat wouldn't hurt me. But I had to let them know that I wasn't eating tonight and that I was actually not hungry. So my OMAD meal for tonight consisted of a glass of water with ACV pictured below.

The plan for tomorrow includes an early breakfast at Bob Evans and dinner at Longhorn Steakhouse. I will take pictures of my meals at both places to share with you on tomorrow.

Depending on how my weigh in goes on Thursday morning, I may do an additional full 48 hour extended fast.

Tomorrow will be a test or practice run for me. I think my level of hunger will depend on the type of breakfast I eat. If it is really high carb, I think I would be more hungry; however for tomorrow, I plan on getting whatever I want since it is a special occasion and once it is over, I won't be deviating from the plan any time soon.

OK, since it usually takes me forever to figure out what I want to eat at a restaurant, I decided to look at the online menus for Bob Evans and Longhorn steakhouse and figure out what I will be eating.

At Bob Evans I will be getting the Sunrise Skillet with one biscuit and at Longhorn steakhouse I will be getting the 6 oz renegade sirloin steak and Parmesan crusted chicken pair with steamed broccoli and a sweet potato with butter and cinnamon sugar (on the side). According to MFP both meals total 1,924 calories.

This should make my husband happy because he hates having to wait for me to decide what I want.

At some point between the two meals I will get a workout in to burn up some of those calories.

    Pictures to come tomorrow.

    Good morning everyone,

Happy Anniversary to me! This morning I was down 2.6lbs after my extended 37 hour fast. First of all the extended fast went very well. I was not hungry at all during the evening. I went to bed around 9:45pm and slept well.

We went to Bob Evans for breakfast and I got the sunshine skillet (I said sunrise above but it is sunshine) and surprisingly I was only able to eat half of it. I was not full, I just did not want anymore. Amazing because before OMAD, I would have taken that meal out with no problem. I am happy because I got to slash 218 calories from my day. Below is the picture.

Aww thank you guys. I am kind of getting hungry again now and am thinking of eating the rest of my left over breakfast. I am also thinking I can hold out until dinner. what to do, what to do.

I caved and finished the rest of my breakfast around 2:00pm. I don't feel bad though because the calories were counted for already in my daily calories. I can say though that 3 hours after eating the rest of my breakfast meal I am hungry again and am ready for dinner. I did have a high carb breakfast which could have contributed to bringing on the hungries. I may have to change my mind about the two meal thing after I reach my goal because once you eat you have the tendency to want to keep eating. Tomorrow I will get back on track with my OMAD, but I know I will have to deal with the hungries which will be even harder since I am off work again tomorrow, but I will endure. I will post a picture of my dinner meal later.

Here is my Anniversary dinner photo. I didn't plan for the dessert, but decided to go for it and it was delicious. I did manage to eat everything in the photo plus 3 additional wings not pictured. I know I consumed over 3000 calories today. Not fretting over it because it is going to be a loooong time before I eat like this again. Back to OMAD tomorrow and a possible extended fast on Friday.

All of your anniversary food looks delicious! I think it's good that you allowed yourself to cut loose. It's getting back on the wagon tomorrow that matters.

One thing I think that is important for a diet isn't to let it stop us from participating in special occasions like an anniversary. I can't believe it when I read about people fretting about not being able to take a scale to weigh stuff at Thanksgiving! A one day splurge will be gone in two to three days of OMAD (that has been my experience). We can't gain weight infinitely fast so one day will not kill us no matter how many cals we put down in that one day. I think if we skip the special occasions, then we resent the diet and it could make us quit it. I know I would feel that way. Special occasions need to be special though and not often! Congrats on your anniversary!

I agree with you, the more restrictions you have the easier it will be to quit your program. I believe OMAD is the perfect way of eating to eliminate those restrictions and remove all excuses for quitting.

I think I will do an extended fast tomorrow and see if I can go to Saturday not eating Thursday and Friday. 37 hours has been my longest fast, but I believe I can do it.

Hi - love your thread and food pics  Can you tell me how much Apple Cider Vinegar you have each day please? Also is there a reason for the grapefruit juice with it - does it just make it easier to drink or does it give a particular benefit?

I do two tablespoons of ACV in 8 ozs of Grapefruit Juice with my OMAD meal. I use grapefruit juice because it makes the ACV easier to drink and it has great health benefits.

The week I didn't drink my grapefruit juice and ACV with my meal I lost no weight. When I got more and drank it the weight started dropping again so I am making it a staple item from now on.

Yassssss I'm convinced the acv helps at least a little... I do mine as a "shot" in the morning in a fasted state so I dunno if that's a difference but hey... Whatever works!

Only had a 1lb gain this morning after yesterday's anniversary meals. I had an appointment this morning with a nutritionist today to discuss nutrition since my last blood labs showed high cholesterol. The doctor wanted to put me on statins but I convinced her to wait and test again. She gave me 8 weeks so I have my lipids tested again on the 18th. I had been doing a keto diet so I backed off on my morning bulletproof coffee. I am looking to add more fiber to my diet as well. I am thinking the best way to do this is to add a high fiber smoothie to my day. The question is should I drink it in the morning or add it with my OMAD.
