Hey ladies! I really did plan to be more active around here, but unfortunately my updates are done! On 6/16 I was in a car accident that lead to emergency surgery for me and resulted in an unplanned c-section. Our little guy was born at 29w6d but is really holding his own in the NICU and I'm on the slow mend. I know the weight can be all consuming when you watch the number on the scale go up every.single.day. BUT, I can promise you, none of it will matter once you have your little one in your arms and you know you'll get back to where you need to be! Best of luck to all of you beautiful Mommas!

Congratulations on your son. Hopefully really soon he will be home with you guys where really belongs.

Congratulations on your sweet little boy. I'm so sorry this happened to you - it must have been so scary - but so glad to hear you are both getting stronger every day and your little guy will be home soon. Thinking of you!

    Goal to Gain: 25-30lb

    Starting weight: 169 lb
    Week 14: 05/04: 172.8 (+3.8, +3.8)
    Week 15: 05/11: 176.0 (+3.2, +7)

    Week 19: 6/8: 182 (+2.6, +13)
    Week 20: 6/15: 181.2 (-0.8, +12.2)
    Week 22: 6/29: 185.4 (+4.2, + 16.4)
    Week 23: 7/6: 185.8 (+0.4, + 16.8)

Not too much of a gain this week I guess but still on the higher end according to the recommended amount for this stage of things. I'm struggling a little with not being able to do physical activity, especially because I sit most of the day at work. Going to try acupuncture and see if that helps relieve some of the anxiety. Apparently it can also possibly help with de-puffing my cankles.

I had my anatomy scan earlier this week. Baby is healthy and strong and everything looked really good. We did discover that I have complete placenta previa. I am now on restricted activity for 8 weeks, so I can't really work out, among other things. I was sad and scared to hear this news, especially after my doctor told me all of the potential risks, but I'm just taking it day by day and praying for a healthy baby and that my darn placenta moves to its proper place. I've seen a lot of stories where people's placenta previa went away, and this gives me hope and helps me stay positive when the anxiety starts to creep in. I know we are focused more on fitness here but if anyone has any advice on this matter, I'd love to hear it.

I had placenta previa with my first pregnancy. It was considered partial, and I was on pelvic rest from 20 weeks until about 32 weeks when it had moved enough to satisfy the doctor. I went on to deliver a healthy boy vaginally with no issues. Had it not moved we would have scheduled a c-section instead. Good luck to you!

My stomach itches, and my back is sore. I'm just ready to be done, but she needs to cook for a while longer yet. Besides, we're moving over the next two weeks, so I definitely need to get that done first!

Good luck with the move!! We just moved and are in a state of renovation - no hot water - hopefully everything goes a lot smoother for you all!! And you can start nesting

Oh, my goodness! NO HOT WATER? That sounds absolutely terrible. I am just so excited to be in our new space already and to feel more prepared for this little one!

Had a bit of a blow out weekend. Went to a bbq on Saturday and ate loads of food then on the way home stopped for a burger king. Yesterday tried having a healthy picnic in the park with my little boy and ended up eating half a box of mini brownies! Will try to be better this week. Sorry for TMI but my BMs have been messed up this week. I'm normally super constipated but this week it's been more like diarrhea (but only once a day) with bad cramps. Any one else had this? I hope it goes away soon. On a happier note we found out we're having another boy!

Ugh, starting to get swelling, need to keep moving and drinking water. Was a bit of a bum this weekend and I can feel it this morning. My hands feel swollen, but my rings still fit so that at least is good.

I'm in the thirteenth week and today up a lb - I've fluctuated gaining and losing a lb or two over the first trimester. Hopefully I will gain 20lb this pregnancy. I'm 37 and this is my third. My other pregnancies I gained over 35 lbs.

This is a bit higher than I'd like but I've also noticed I'm retaining water like no one's business starting at 21 weeks. My feet are super puffy by midday and don't really de-swell after a good night's sleep. I know I'm drinking enough water so I guess this is just how my body is handling pregnancy. I'm on restricted activity at least until at least August 9 so slowly waddling around is the most I can do.

Loved seeing everyone's new baby pictures - makes me so excited to meet my little one in a few months!

@teeny145 sending good thoughts your way for you and baby right now.

Isn't the swelling the worst? We're moving this week, and after being on my feet all day yesterday, I looked down and was horrified to see my fat calf disappearing into my tennis shoes. I've been chugging water like no one's business. I hope you can find some relief!

    Here's me:

I haven't had much of an appetite the last couple weeks and have been eating below maintenance. I have no idea how I gained 2 lbs back. Normally, I would lose weight at the calorie level I've been eating at. I am retaining water like crazy though.

Is it normal to stall out like this? I've started swelling some and have been trying to watch my sodium and sugar intake and drink lots of water. The result is that on swollen days I'm up a pound or two but other days I seem to keep hovering right around 129. I just hope baby is growing well!

Some weeks you'll be up, others down. Everyone gains differently. I lost 2 lbs at the end with DD. She is 3 and perfectly healthy.
