When I found out I was pregnant I weighted 222. I did a bunch of research and asked my Dr. He told me given my weight and bmi that I could keep reading at my deficit. So I did. I got down to 215 and he told Me to maintain there. Do that's what I been doing. I'm 21 weeks (22 Sunday). I just had a appointment at 20wks and he told Me to maintain for a while longer. Some days I jump all the way up to 222 again. But I been staying about 217. Belly is showing that's for sure. At 20 weeks my baby boy was 11oz and measuring 2 days difference then my due date. I think every body is different.
However with my 2.5 year old daughter I gained 50 pounds and she was 6 weeks early. Each pregnancy is different to. I'd say as long as your Dr isn't worried don't worry. Depending on your weight you might need to gain as much as 40 anyways. Since I'm sorry and overweight to start I only need about 150 -

Well my mini goal was to have gained 5 lbs at the half way point. I'll be 20 weeks on Tuesday and I'm sitting right at 5 lbs gained. Woohoo! I gained it all at once and that same week I learned that I needed to up my thyroid meds because I was hypo.0 -

Another week with less than a pound gain, so I'm pretty happy about that. I wanted to gain between 15 and 25 pounds, and I've hit the 15 lbs mark. Let's hope I can keep the next 9 weeks under 10 lbs! I'm a little nervous/worried I'll go above the 25 lbs, because I can't really control how much my body puts on, I can only watch my calories and exercise, and hope for the best. But if I DO go over, I know it shouldn't be by much. I just want the lowest number for the sake of my sanity, lol.0 -
18 weeks today with third baby and weigh 122.6. starting weight was 117 at 5'4. so 5.6 pounds gained and only up .4 since last week0

33wks! up about 32/33lbs??? I don't weigh myself accurately anymore. I weigh after I eat with clothes still on so I'm not sure on the exact number. I'm pretty confident I'll hit 40 lol. Im 5'5 and starting weight was 128ish

I gained the first 2 lbs as soon as I found out I was pregnant. The other 3 came up before I hit 10-11 weeks, and I have been steady since then. Everything is measuring where it is supposed to be according to the doctor.. I eat when I am hungry, indulge when I want to (ate a Bruegger's bacon, egg & cheese breakfast sandwich today;) So I feel like I am on track.0 -

just about 34 weeks and up about 34 lbs. Looks like i'm on track for 40. definitely not happy about it but whatever, i have been way more nauseous lately and feeeling overly stuffed fast so maybe it will slow down a bit?? i have definitely indulged on a lot of "extras" this pregnancy. oh well lol i'm sure I will lose it all once I get back on track.0

Logically I know I'm doing really good on weight. But I'm a little disappointed I gained 1.6 lbs this week, especially since I know that I'll probably have a pretty big gain with Thanksgiving this week. I can only hope some of it is water retention, but I'm pretty doubtful of that. I just would really like to stay under 25 lbs gained.0 -

No weight gain on my scale. My doctors scale says I gained 18lbs when I went in on Tuesday! I think I'll trust my scale since I've been using it since the beginning. At my doctors office, the scales vary on which room I use & time of day I go.

I've been very stressed this week so I'm surprised that I didn't gain more! Going to the fair Sunday so next time I weigh in might be a doozy!

Huge growth spurt + stress of packing for our new house. Need to focus on eating better! I've been shoving junk food down my throat for a few weeks now.

Just had my 22 week appointment. Here's the update:
9 weeks: 161
14 weeks: 159 (-2)
18 weeks: 161 (+2)
22: 166 ( +5--)
So far up 5 lbs at basically 23 weeks. I've been slacking on logging and working out... should probably get back into it!0 -

I also had a gain of about 2 pounds in just a week... From your starting weight, I'd say 8 pounds is quite normal. I was 125 pre-pregnancy and my doc wants me to put on 25-35 pounds... I'm at a 8.4 pound gain so far. I also fin it hard to see the number on the scale but I figure as long as we're eating healthy and exercising a little, it's all good...
Also, the 2 pounds gain may also just be water retention or digestive issues! I was 134.4 two days ago but 133.4 this morning, I was bloated and (TMI) constipated! LOL0 -

Yeah, weeks 23-25 I saw my biggest gain. I think that's when the biggest growth spurts happen and that's why you see such big numbers.
