@taxmom9093 I'm so sorry for your loss.
Adding 2 miles from some walking and a killer Boot Camp class this morning. My whole body is sore but it was fun. There's something about flipping a tire that I find really bada$$

@clepant - So happy to hear that the PT caught the blood clot! I had one about 5 years ago and my doctor poo pooed the fact that I couldn't breathe so I had a clot in my lungs for almost 5 months until I went to a pulmonologist. It's a scary thing!
Well work last week was still crazy, but at least I was able to get in all my workouts. This week, I am not quite as sure so I guess I will just take it day by day.
Have a wonderful day everyone!
OH so scary!0 -
@Dean: What a horrible work schedule. I sort of thought you were putting in long hours. I second Dave's comments and hope you get back to some more normal hours soon. So nice to have you back.
July 17: Adding 15 miles of running 2 miles with my fur pup today and walking 8 and cycling 5.

@taxmom9093 So sorry to read of the sudden death of your father-in-law. A terrible shock for you all!
@vhuber yes South Island of New Zealand. And currently in the depths of winter. It doesn't usually snow here but does all around us and never as hot in summer as you are all having! We are having more rain than usual and I wish I could send some of that in your direction!
@Janet - well done on first run for the new marathon programme!

@Janet - enjoy your training programme.
I'm taking part in a 24 hour relay race at the weekend. I'm terrified!1 -

Dean, I second everybody and truly hope you get some help there soon. I am desperately trying to get caught up, got the next 3 days of limited riding due to the pro bike race I volunteer for. Tomorrow is travel day, back to dog bite city. But will be to busy to hang about the parks.
07/15 - 21.0 miles cycling (decided to rip some miles today, slapped a brace on my forearm then went for it)
07/16 - 19.0 miles cycling (took it a bit easier today)
07/16 - 01.0 miles walking (a nice walk at the river with my friend)
07/17 - 01.0 miles rest day walk

Total: 156.0 miles

@Anaconda: I have such admiration for you and your desire to get back in the saddle and go again.
@K80flec: I am sure you will do your best and find this race just another great experience. Anything new or that which pushes us out of our comfort zone is sure be a bit scary.
@Go Janet on another marathon. I have been derailed and it is hard getting back on track but I am sure going to keep trying.
July 18: Adding another 15.5 miles. I ran in the high humidity this morning and I looked like I ran in the rain. At the end of my run, I thought a Rotweiller was going to go through his electric fence and tear me up. I am afraid that one day, he is coming through. No matter if I walk by, run or cycle, he is charging and growling I need to remember my pepper spray.
My hair never dried from sweat until a shower this evening. I spent several hours amending the soil in my raised bed, shoveling compost and wood chips from our community pile. My muscles are sore and my joints ache. Ran 2.5 miles, walked 8 miles and cycled 5 miles.
TTD: 250.5 miles and goal!

@clepant - That's scary on the Rottweiler! We see a lot of them and most need muzzles or sedation. They are great dogs for their family. They are quite protective. They are be very playful with family members but they can be phenomenally aggressive with strangers.0

Way to get your GOAL done and in the books, @CLEPANT!!! :drinker: Sounds like a pretty busy, and sweaty, day!! I'm so glad our heat & humidity has finally broken. I'll send the cooler temps out your way! And if there's any way for you to safely pass that dog on the other side of the street....if that helps...

@clepant - you always ground me with your wise words and encouragement.
Today was very humid with torrential rain and a short thunderstorm - although I think @sussexbythesea has had it much worse - have you had flooding??
Apologies to @vhuber - I wish I could send you some of the rain.
I have another 4.5m Supper Run tomorrow night, Lancashire hot pot AND a medal. Lots and lots of miles this week from running!! All done with a dreadful summer cold1 -

@Dean: Theae people had a sweet chocolate lab that passed away and purchased this dog over a year ago. She use to walk him around the neighborhood but has stopped. The owner was cleaning poop up and she knows he charges the fence. There was an attempted break in at the house across the way from them a few years ago and I wonder if that is why they got the dog.
My former boss had and showed this breed. They are terribly protective dogs of their property and family as you say. I walk clear across the street and some times the dog sees me walking my dogs a block away. I don't take them near there anymore. My poor lame Merit and old Finn would not have a chance with this dog ,nor would I. For the first time this time around I actually had a panic attack going by and felt like he was coming through the fence. I was already looking for something to climb. I know it is going to happen. The fence is going down one day or he is just going to go through? He is going to get a person or dog or both.

Today was more sweat. Thanks Dave for sending less humidity and cooler weather my way. At least there are no more flash floods.
@k80flec: You will do great. Just the fact that you are doing this is something you should be proud of. Most people never get to the starting line or even attempt anything that challenges them.
July 19: Adding 13.5 miles of walking 7.5 miles and cycling 6 miles
