July 23: Hanging close to home today because of my dad. Adding 10 miles of walking and mostly cycling on bike.
TTD: 315 miles
@amazingmummy: Glad to hear that you are mending and will be back with us soon.
@Kar: I am going to look for a Geriatric doctor. They could not find any blood work on him Except back in January. I gave them dates and they found them. I also can look at their portal for results but if they aren't there, I have nothing to read. There were a lot of other issues that I dealt with while there that I won't bother everyone with but it makes me question what is going on in this office. Hopefully I will get some answers. Glad you survive those long shifts. I don't know how you do it.0 -
@Lovemyalex: I am going to be busy the next few days and want to say congratulations as you will become the new highest miler on this site in the next day or so. To think you went through knee replacement and you are cranking out the miles. I am in awe of your dedication.0

@clepant - Sorry to hear about your dad and the trouble with the doctors office. That has to be frustrating.
@anaconda469 - That had to be a thrill to get involved with those events. I'm jealous.0 -
@clepant A gerontologist is a good idea. There's just no excuse for any medical practice to lose lab results, especially in this time of electronic records. Good thing he has you to follow up, so many patients (and lots are younger) would assume no news is good news.
1.5 miles of running and walking with Boot Camp. It poured last night, so we were stuck indoors. I love early morning classes when it's still dark out. Hopefully next week will be better.

Been so frazzled at work lately, it has turned my brain to mush. I accidentally did an extra mile on the treadmill Saturday as I wasn't paying attention. It wasn't until after when I was calculating my pace that I realized I went 6 miles instead of 5. HAHA!3 -

@Just_Ceci: They must have been awesome tasting donuts to ride 50 miles for them...lol.
@Dean: Do you ever diagnose dogs with Lar Par? I am suspecting my sweet fur baby has it.
I spent most of my morning on the phone trying to get my dad in to a GI doctor. And the rest of the time trying to figure out who screwed up my dad's blood work. Apparently the people in the lab that they sent me to in the same building just punched in his name and sent it to the doctor who popped up on the list.....his proctologist. No one got the results. My dad will get an upper GI on Thursday.
Thank you to whomever said they were sending me some nice weather. After the rain this afternoon, the humidity dropped and it is in the 60's tonight. Opening windows and shutting down the AC for a day or two. Looks like I am getting a nice run in to morrow.

Maple bacon was my choice- so good! Forget the name of the one my friend Angela got, but it was good too. There were about 10 of us riding together and many donuts were sampled!

@Just_Ceci I might actually ride that far for donuts. I'd probably go for the one on the left, looks chocolatey.
Adding 1 mile. Sub muscle conditioning instructor this morning. I'll be cursing her name later when the DOMS sets in.

@Just_Ceci: Yum! We have a guy here that has now opened five shops in our area called Peace, Love and Little Donuts. The first was in Pittsburgh. So our running club would often make a stop there on the run. They sell mini donuts. I like yours better. But oh are they good. Now there is one near me. Glad they are small cause they smack of bad stuff and calories. One in-service day, I brought them to my elementary team members for a breakfast treat. They scarfed them.
@k80flec: Did you survive your 24 hour relay?

@Just_Ceci - got my eyes closed...can't see those donuts...nope nothing there to tempt me. lolBeen so frazzled at work lately, it has turned my brain to mush. It is unseasonably cool here. I was thinking about turning the heat on this morning! So weird but good for running.
I just finished a 3 mile run which puts me at 66/75. Looking at my training schedule I should make goal on Saturday. Maybe sooner if I take some beach walks.
