The first two weeks are lowest glycemic, and no sugar, and for some folks (who don't eat beans) it can be lower carb.
Finding foods with potassium that are lower carb/slow carb should help the nausea.

After phase 1, with all the whole grains, it's definitely not low carb. Ezekiel bread is a GREAT phase 2 grain!!

Alrighty then...so I am thinking the Columbus turkey is better than the Hillshire (I tossed half the big 3 pack I bought at Costco)...I just hope it lasts in one of those green boxes. I need to use an air sucker outter thing a ma jig.

Very difficult for me to heat lunch in mic...would need to forward phones. I use my phone forwarding time for bathroom breaks. I could put food in a thermos...that might work.

It was my choice to get off at three and not take a lunch. I love getting off at three...makes me feel like I have so much more of the day left for some reason. Also, when the weather does finally cool down, I will be in that pool right after work. Then a nice walk with LME.

Very much trying to find a good rhythm for me, while working. I am thinking by 2020 I will go part time. I need to work. I don't do well with too much free time. And I am not rich enough to just go on vacations all the time and travel.

Just thinking out loud here. I do want to get back to 135 and then go from there. Keeping to my menu is going to be key. I downloaded a kindle version of a Mediterranean diet. I hate the Dr. A sold out to nutrisystem. Poop.

I do know that of all the plans out there...this one fits me the best and truly I have pretty much followed since joining SBD online in 2008.

Ok...just felt like chatting a bit. Have a great rest of the day. Later, mates.

I'm hitting the supermarket today in advance of Irma, which will affect us slightly or significantly, depending on the path she takes. I expect the market to be very crowded.

Oh goodness, Silver...I did not know. Please keep in touch...will be thinking of you. Hugs, sweetie!

I was in Trader Joes just now...had to pick up supplies...and on my menu was Ak Maks...guess what they were about to restock? LOL I took a picture just for you...but it's on my phone...I just have to get it to the computer and then here...or maybe straight from my phone to here.

Also, decided to go with a breakfast egg burrito (whole wheat tortilla) with cheese and hatch chili. Side of cuban black beans.

    BE SAFE!

So, I just have to say, a hot breakfast burrito that I get to enjoy at the table with a fork and knife...man, that's living. I miss being able to have meals at the table with time to enjoy. One day. In the meantime, weekends for breakfast and lunch are very special.

My precious niece and her dh are in Houston, Silver. They were spared, but friends of theirs were not. I was in constant contact with her the entire time. Some of her pictures of them cleaning up were very tragic. So many lost their lives. Do stay safe and keep in touch.

Thanks for all the kind thoughts. Magic, I am in Athens, GA. We might just have rain, or rain and wind. Irma is on track to go west of us, but she's so big, it's not clear how much we will be affected.

    Today's Plan:

b egg burrito with hatch valley salsa (trader joe's), cantaloupe
    s green smoothie
l ak mak turkey sam with assorted raw veggies and bolthouse as a dipper
s carrot/orange freshly made juice (my supervisor treated me to one from Jamba Juice on Friday...I am going to make her a fresh one for tomorrow*).
d roasted veggies, jasmine rice, air fryer salmon
    d yogurt

bedtime sleepy time tea and pistachios

*She just lost her mom two weeks ago to ovarian cancer ... 55ish...being healthy and on top of my game during the 18 months of battling was how I "took care" of my wonderful "boss". She knew she could always count on me...I would be there at 7 am m - f, no worries (and anytime she needed me to cover someone's shift). She had enough on her plate.

I bring this up here because eating healthy and staying healthy is really what we are doing, day in and day out. You never know when you will have to step up your game to help out another family member or friend. It makes it a heck of a lot easier when you, yourself, are feeling good.

    Hi ladies,
sorry, got busy, but have been keeping to the diet. although last night i was at a party and had lots of white wine. so, yes, cheated, but i didn't eat any bad food. so, i count it as a win, as there was lots of yummy food.
I"ve been watching all the news coverage of Irma. it is addicting. So tomorrow marks day 14. i'm worried about adding in good carbs.
need to do some reading to see what i should eat.
Thanks ladies for the concern. Sorry i worried you!

vkbangus: white wine is my downfall.
Have a look at our "launch pad area". Lots of good links to help the transition. Don't add too much too soon!
    You got this!
