It's been awfully quiet here lately. I know I've been involved in lots of things, but I'm sticking to my basic meal plan, even if I haven't posted. Hope you are all doing well.

Welcome, Rachlee. I agree that this is a very healthy regimen. I went on because I was pre-pre-diabetic. At my last doctor appointment, my glucose numbers were way down. I also find it very easy to stay on, once you get past Phase 1. As you can see, I won't be hungry today.

I'm around...just taking care of LME. She needs a lot of attention...trying to figure out what she will eat is the biggest time consumer...testing out ideas...then having to clean up. Worrying...lots of worrying...waking up with anxiety. Some very good days...mixed in with with not so great days. She goes for sub q fluids daily...but I think I am going to give her a break on Fridays. We will pick up again tomorrow at 8:20.

At 138 now. My appetite kinda goes along with hers. She does not eat, either do I. Lots of times, I am just sick with worry to eat. Not sure if it is worry or just anxiety. I wake up with this horrible dread inside me. But we are forging on. We have been together since she was 7 weeks old. She will be 15 on Valentine's Day. When I got her, I was 240 pounds. It was because of her that I got healthy...she needed a healthy mom that was active...and that is what she got. I just turned 69 on Oct 13. My knees and back feel it. Ugh.

We had no Trick or Treaters yesterday, so we wound up with 2 bags of candy. Guess who ate some? Usually, I get candy I don't like so I won't be tempted, but this time I made the mistake of shopping in the late afternoon, when my resistance is low, and I picked out stuff I liked. At least when I worked, I was able to bring the leftovers to the office, so they didn't all land on my hips. Now that I'm retired...Oh well, live and learn.
