Im in! I'm ready! I lost 40lbs in 4 months keto from 7/1 to 11/1 (and 55 in total.) I've maintained easily and lost a little being very lazy and on and off keto the last 2 months. I'm ready to start again and lose my last 70 lbs hopefully by July. I'm technically starting again today, but will weigh in on Sunday. I'm excited!

Hi, there! I had two babies 2016-2017 and am looking to lose 35-40 pounds. In the past, I found that low-carb helped me lose weight, so here I am.
I've started yesterday and know that will need a community to keep it going since my home isn't diet friendly(junk food everywhere).

I’m new to Keto and I’m aiming to start on January 1st so I’m up for the challenge. I’ve been doing my research and I’m putting together my meal plan and shopping list as we speak. I’m pescatarian so if anyone has any recipes/tips to share I would be forever grateful.
My stats are

Age 40
Height 5’3”
I have a lot to lose but I’m feeling motivated.

@jenconv I'm a fish eater but do eat meats also. I've not really needed to change my cooking of fish to accommodate keto or a very low carb high fat diet Any fish served with above ground vegetables=dinner. It's really that simple.
Shrimp or scallop alfredo can be nice and fatty with good/high protein. It's a shame to cover a scallop with all that sauce though. Serve over zoodles (spirilized zucchini ) or spaghetti squash. Or even raw spinach. The hot alfredo "cooks" the spinach just enough.
Any Veracruz Fish recipe (many on line) which is usually baked in a pouch over a bed of lemon with a few vegetables: a tomato, bell pepper, capers and onion mix doesn't throw me over on carbs even when I ate <20.
We pan fry fish mostly. Fish (protein) and browned butter (fat). There ya go. Add a vegetable.
Blackened fish. I keep a homemade Emeril's Essence, Bayou Blast (recipe on line) on hand. It's a tasty blackening seasoning to me. Careful with the cayenne pepper though if you don't like hot. Fish, blackening seasoning, quick pan fried in a hot pan with butter and oil.
Fish Picatta. Again just fish, pan fried in butter with lemon juice, white wine and capers added at the end. I add a bunch of cooked, fresh mushrooms to the sauce. Skip the part of dusting the fish in flour. I don't skip that part since my "dusting" is less than a tablespoon and it looks and taste better to me with that light, light crust which also holds the fat. Excellent with broccoli.
Cioppino: I use a diced tomato/wine/butter/chicken/beef broth base. You can sub vegetable broth. I'll eat the broth in whatever amount fits my carbs. I don't need much broth. Mine is very rich with oregano, basil, parsley, thyme and a little Old Bay. I mostly use sword fish or grouper + clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops.
We add cilantro, lime butter to certain fish. Salmon 1st comes to mind.
Crab legs dipped in butter. A vegetable on the side.
Oysters Rockefeller: just skip the bread crumbs if you must or try a keto breadcrumb, crushed pork rinds or parmesan cheese with the usual mozzarella/spinach mix.
Canned tuna. Canned sardines. I buy mine in water and add mustard to the sardines. Mayo to the tuna. Salmon cakes/croquettes from canned salmon. Mine don't hold together well because I don't use a (bread) filler but they're still good. Same is true with crab cakes...
Fish Tacos. Skip the taco shell and serve plain or blackened fish topped with shredded cabbage, pico de gallo and a homemade crema which is just sour cream, heavy cream and hot sauce. A squirt of fresh lime.
Here's our latest grilled oyster recipe.

I'm in. Got plenty to lose2

Hey. I am on day 3. Waited until I could recover a day after Christmas.
The pic here is from a few years ago lol. I just turned 40. I'm 5'6. I was 140 before I got pregnant with my third child. My baby boy is 2 1/2 now. I am now 5'6 and 192! My goal is to lose 60 pounds. Feeling sooo much better already on day 3. My current macro ratio is 65/5/30 fat/carb/protein with a 40% calorie deficit. I am mostly dairy free for now besides butter. I'm taking a daily bulletproof coffee with XCT oil. Jog/walking at least 2 miles a day.
Let's do this!

I'd love to join. I'm new to MFP so I hope I get notifications...? I started keto on Nov 29th but am only down 4.6 pounds. However, I am down a pants size and my blood sugar is in the normal range (I have type 2 diabetes). Best part is I never feel hungry. Excited to do this with the rest of you.4

Oooooooo, the clothes size being down & even more the diabetes control is the REAL good stuff. The scale will catch up. Here's to 2018!!3 -

I'm in. I have a goal of 75lbs for 2018! Would love if I could make it closer to 100 but want to be realistic. I started keto October 9th of this year and as of today I have lost 42.6 lbs. my NSV last night was putting on buttoning and zipping the smallest pair of pants I have worn in my adult life (6 sizes smaller than I was wearing less than 3 months ago!!) They were a little tight but it has been 2 1/2 years since I fit in them. I have had 2 babies in that time so I am trying to be easy on myself and know that it doesn't happen over night. My youngest baby is 4 months old today so I think I have done pretty good. Here's to 2018 being the best, healthiest year yet! Add me as a friend I love motivation and encouraging others! Let's do this!!!10
