    HAPPY NEW YEAR TEAM!

    I'm sorry this has taken me awhile but with all the festivities and catching up with my errands I got a little behind with my groups and teams. I hope you have all started the new year strong and with renewed focus and motivation. I am ready to kick some serious BOOTY!! I will be checking in daily in this form. It really helps me keep myself accountable each day. Feel free to use this format or your own to help us all stay active in our teams and groups. Lets stay accountable!!

    MY CHECK IN...

    Accountability: Goal is to track everything I eat, stay under my calorie goal, get at least 30 mins of exercise each day, and drink over 2L of water each day. (except on REST/FREE days which is usually on Sundays)

    I went through this last month and it was awful. take care of yourself <3 easy stretching and healthy food will still help you reach your goals if you feel up to it.

    A little gain, but I'm fine with that. I've really increased my weight training and I'm increasing my calorie intake as well. I've decided I would like to do a fitness competition... Crazy! That said; I would like to gain 3-5 lbs of lean muscle mass and lose about 20 of fat. I've got my work cut out for me

    Training for a fitness competition is a great motivator to keep working out!!

    Bit of a false start this week! Bought in lots of good healthy food for next week and have made some exercise plans, so hopefully I will be a bit more prepared and set up for success.

    My husband has gets 6 days off work in a row and when he's home with me all day it's a lot harder to eat right

    A lot harder, but not impossible! It will be a work in progress for a while. Planning ahead will be your best friend in this endeavour!

    Repeat from December thread: January Goals:
    • Plank challenge: 60 minutes for January which works out to 15 minutes a week. For gods sake, can I please just get this off my to do list? I am so tired of failing this one.
    • Weight goal: 185ish by Jan 31st. I have a doctors appointment on Jan 30 and I have to get bloodwork done the week before. I'm looking for significant improvement over my bloodwork last year. (so this is like 2a and 2b)
    • three days of swimming per week, min 30 minute sessions. 7 hours min for Jan. This is revised downward due to both weird fitspace hours and my injury.
    • 4 hours of alt fitness for the month - can be yoga, pilates, running, strength training. Doctor suggested I continue yoga, just not the intermediate poses. Sigh.
    • track food 5 out of 7 days a week. I've really gotten out of tracking and need to get back to it because tracking works.

    It has been hit and miss this week, but the husband is on the road today so things will get back to some semblance of normal. Less than two weeks left of class too and then I'll take a short break from intense studying (aka sitting on my backside) to get my house in order and then diving into the next round of certs.

    I’ve been on track this week and doing well. I’m not sure how much I gained after last Friday’s weigh in, but F-Mon was a free for all food wise :( So while I’ve gained .5 since Friday, I’m sure it’s actually a loss since Tuesday morning. I just couldn’t face the scale before today. Motivated and looking forward to finally reaching goal.

    No loss really, but DH has been home and I think we have indulged in one too many iced coffees...
    Kids are off school for another 3 weeks so I will do my best. It's too easy to get caught up in their snacks and the baking! Exercise will also be much easier once they are both at school/kindy!
