Jan. 13: So busy, I forgot to record my miles. Shoveled lots of snow. We got a good 6 inches over night. But I had to clear my neighbor and make a nice dog path for my old girl to walk. My dad has a compression fracture from his fall so I am running for him.
Jan. 14: Today, I spent lots of time faxing claims to my pet insurance company since they have misplaced a lot of my invoices. How convenient.
Anyway, I tallied 21 miles for the past two days. 7 walking miles, 5 run/walk miles and 9 miles on x bike.
TTD: 146.75 miles
@kar: I am doing my best not to buy any cookies from the scouts but my niece is going to hit me up for some for sure. Maybe I can buy them and donate the. To our food bank.
@k80flec: Sounds like your going to be busy with lots of training runners. You probably will lose some along the way but how great that people want to try doing it.
@Janet:It always amazes me at the colors people select to paint their rooms. You would think they would paint them neutral when they go to sell.

And now we have anaconda crossing the goal line! Woo hoo!
@k80flec - no sunglasses required now. The room is now a lovely taupe. Just in time for my next house guest arriving tomorrow. That's a lot of new runners for your club!
@kar - I know those cookies wouldn't last long in my house. The little girls across the street hit me up for a donation to the heart association yesterday and I thought myself lucky that they weren't selling cookies. Yet.
Stay warm, folks!0 -
Man this month is flying by, but Spring/Summer is just a wee bit closer

First session with the new ‘runners’ tomorrow night. @clepant, we are expecting a large % to drop out (New Year, New Me resolutioners). When I did it about 25% completed the course - most having dropped out by the halfway mark. @JTH11706, and not all of them joined the club. In fact one or two of them have signed up again as they stopped running. Also - where is the mandatory picture of your Dopey bling!!2 -

@kar: took a look at my backside in the mirror yesterday and did not like what was looking back at me.....no cookies for me this year for sure.
@Janet: Let’s see the bling Janet. I always like seeing my friend Joey’s bling from the event. Your new paint color sounds very soothing.

I kicked my own @SS today!!! Cleaned my house & did laundry then I rode 12 on the ex bike, walked 3 at the walking & weights class that I lead then it was leading the intervals & weights class!!! I've had good turn outs & I now have our new lady surgeon join!! She's an itty bitty thing who bikes MAJOR miles (like you ANACONDA & Just_Ceci) & does lot's of weight lifting.

@kar328 and @clepant - Thanks for your suggestions. I have made some adjustments to my mini challenges and added some (participants were not happy that I had 3 weeks without an extra challenge!). Some of your suggestions would have been awesome for me since i do them already, but that meant I couldn't add them. The drawback to running the challenge...some of these may be any easy one for others as something they do already, but I can't put in a challenge that i know I already do. Que sera sera.

3 mile run this morning. That plus my bike ride Saturday night puts me at 69/75.
Where's my Dopey bling? I have a confession: I don't know how to add pictures or gifs or anything. That's why you've never seen one from me. But I'm going to try. Maybe, maybe I can figure this out.2 -
I figured it out! Maybe I'm not that much dumber than a 5th grader after all LOL. You may be seeing an endless string of photos and gifs from me now.
The six Dopey medals!! I'm proud to point out that the lanyard for the Dopey medal itself says "perfect" on it to show that I've done all 5 of the Dopey challenges.5 -

LOL! You could be right about that, Dean, but I'm pretty sure it was the final play of the MN Vikings football game she was referring to!! SKOL VIKINGS!!!

@DJMICHEALS - LOL!!! And I'm pretty sure I was one of those people that said it too!! I was screaming so much I almost lost my voice! I'm not even really a sports nut of any kind....but there's lots of years of heartache from being a MN Vikings fan .... not to mention some bad blood between the Vikings and the Saints from when they had the bounty out for anyone that injured our Quarterback, then Brett Favre, and they succeeded thereby ending that year's Super Bowl run GRRRRR ... but there was a lot of frustration freed in that single moment.
@MYBESTTUTU - No worries! I must've read it right because I had the right number on the spreadsheet before you added the more recent total.
@JANET - THAT IS SOOOO AWESOME!!!!! I'm really glad you figured out how to add a picture because that so totally deserves to be displayed for all to see!!!!! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

Initially thought I'd strained/torn a hamstring so was having a few more breaks etc trying to rest it and in the end I had no idea as that didn't seem to work. Went to a physio and only needed 2 physio sessions and good to start running again. It was my lower back I dont do any stretching and my back was extremely tight and it seized my hamstrings. Lesson learnt I need to stretch.2 -
